Titans
Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan said on Friday that the team isn't expecting cornerback L'Jarius Sneed (quadriceps) to play in the final three games of the 2024 regular season. Sneed landed on Injured Reserve on Nov. 23. It will end up being a lost season for the 27-year-old defensive back, as he played in just five games in his first year in Tennessee. In those five contests, Sneed contributed 23 tackles (19 solo) and two tackles for loss. Before coming to the Titans via free agency as a notable offseason pickup, Sneed had established himself as one of the better cornerbacks in the league in his four seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. For a Titans secondary that surely has its issues, they will be hoping that Sneed can return in 2025 to the form he displayed in Kansas City before signing a contract with Tennessee.

Titans Placing L'Jarius Sneed On Injured Reserve
The Tennessee Titans are placing cornerback L'Jarius Sneed (quadriceps) on Injured Reserve on Friday due to a quadriceps injury that has already kept him out of action for the last five weeks. The Titans acquired Sneed from the Kansas City Chiefs in the offseason and signed him to a four-year, $76.4 million deal. Tennessee's secondary has surprisingly been pretty good without the 27-year-old defensive back in the fold lately, but he'll certainly be missed. At this point in the year, it might be more of a long shot that he'll be able to make it back before the end of the season. Sneed will now have to miss at least four more games and he won't be eligible to come back until Week 16 versus the division-rival Indianapolis Colts. In his first five games with the Titans earlier this year, Sneed recorded 23 tackles (19 solo) without an interception.

L'Jarius Sneed Missing Another Game
Tennessee Titans defensive back L'Jarius Sneed (quadriceps) will miss his fifth straight contest this weekend when his team hosts the visiting the Minnesota Vikings. The 27-year-old has not participated in practice since sustaining a quad injury in Tennessee's 20-17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6. Fellow DBs Justin Hardee (groin), Roger McCreary (knee), and Jarvis Brownlee Jr (ankle) were all limited at practice on Friday. McCreary and Brownlee Jr. do not carry a designation heading into the weekend, while Hardee has been deemed questionable for the matchup. It's good news for the Titans, as McCreary and Brownlee Jr lead all Tennessee defensive backs in snaps. Still, the team's defensive backfield is dinged up, and they could need help covering football's No. 1 wide receiver, Justin Jefferson.

L'Jarius Sneed Inactive Against Bills
Tennessee Titans cornerback L'Jarius Sneed (quadriceps) is officially inactive for Week 7 against the Buffalo Bills. He had been listed as questionable but faced an uphill battle to play after missing three consecutive practices. The first-year Titan has tallied 23 tackles over five games this year. Jarvis Brownlee should handle additional snaps on defense until Sneed can return to the mix.

L'Jarius Sneed Agrees On Four-Year Contract With Titans
New Tennessee Titans cornerback L'Jarius Sneed agreed to terms on a new four-year, $76.4 million deal on Tuesday, according to sources. The deal includes $55 million guaranteed and a $20 million signing bonus to make him one of the highest-paid cornerbacks in the league. The new contract comes after the Titans acquired the 27-year-old defensive back from the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason. Sneed was a big reason why the Chiefs won their second straight Super Bowl ring this past season and will now operate as Tennessee's top cornerback for the foreseeable future. The former fourth-round pick by KC in 2020 out of Louisiana Tech had 78 tackles (60 solo), five tackles for loss, two interceptions, 14 passes defended and a fumble recovery in 16 regular-season starts in 2023.

L'Jarius Sneed Traded To The Titans
The Kansas City Chiefs traded star defensive back L'Jarius Sneed to the Tennesse Titans on Friday in exchange for a 2025 third-round and 2024 seventh-round pick. Once the trade was completed, Sneed signed a four-year, $76 million contract extension with the Titans. The deal includes $55 million guaranteed. Sneed requested a trade after Kansas City placed a non-exclusive franchise tag on him before free agency, which ultimately led him to be moved this offseason. The 27-year-old racked up 78 tackles, two interceptions, one fumble recovery, and 14 passes defensed over 16 games for the Chiefs in 2023. Sneed instantly boosts the Titans' secondary and gives Tennessee a top shutdown corner heading into the 2024 season.

Colts, Titans The Top Players For L'Jarius Sneed
The Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans are two of the top teams trying to trade for Kansas City Chiefs cornerback L'Jarius Sneed this offseason, but Sneed's asking price is too high right now, according to a source. For now, Sneed remains with the Chiefs on the $19.8 million franchise tag for 2024. The 27-year-old former fourth-round pick by KC in 2020 out of Louisiana Tech was the No. 37 defensive back in IDP fantasy scoring last year with 78 tackles (60 solo), five tackles for loss, two interceptions, a career-high 14 passes defended and a fumble recovery in 16 regular-season starts. Sneed has thrived in defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo's scheme in his four years in Kansas City and was a big part of the team's Super Bowl run last year. With the Chiefs focused on an extension for pass-rusher Chris Jones, the likeliest outcome will be Sneed moving to another team this offseason.

L'Jarius Sneed Could Be Headed To Tennessee
The Kansas City Chiefs have permitted defensive back L'Jarius Sneed to seek a trade. The 27-year-old should have a significant market after multiple quality seasons in KC. Currently, the Tennessee Titans appear to be the favorite to land Sneed. The two sides are reportedly in serious discussions. There are reports that possibly a third-round pick could be headed to Kansas City in exchange for Sneed, but nothing is finalized. The Chiefs will make sure to get a solid return after three straight solid seasons from Sneed. Wherever he lands, Sneed is going to be an upgrade for that defensive unit.

Chiefs Officially Place Franchise Tag On L'Jarius Sneed
The Kansas City Chiefs have officially placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on star cornerback L'Jarius Sneed. The official cornerback franchise price tag for 2024 is $19.8 million. Players with this tag can negotiate contracts with other franchises when the new league year begins, but they have to trade compensation to Kansas City if they agree to a deal. The Chiefs also have the right to match any offer. Sneed, a fourth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, has posted 303 tackles and 10 interceptions in his first four NFL seasons. He did not allow a touchdown in the regular season and is due for a significant pay raise this offseason. A trade is very possible, according to Ari Meirov of 33rd Team, but there will be a lot to sort out before it can happen.

Chiefs Plan To Franchise-Tag L'Jarius Sneed
The Kansas City Chiefs are planning to use the franchise tag on standout cornerback L'Jarius Sneed ahead of 2024 free agency. According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the team is prepared to trade Sneed if the two sides fail to agree to a long-term extension. Selected by the Chiefs in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the 27-year-old has been a part of the last two Super Bowl runs, and he and Trent McDuffie have formed arguably the best cornerback duo in the NFL. Sneed did not allow a touchdown during the regular season, and he has tallied 10 interceptions through the first four seasons of his career. If he hits the trade block, there should be several interested suitors in today's pass-happy NFL.
