Tyjae Spears News
Tennessee Titans running back Tyjae Spears rushed eight times for 49 yards and caught both of his targets for six yards in the 27-24 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2. Spears could see his role increase as the season moves along, making him an interesting waiver wire add ahead of Week 3. He might be a valuable handcuff running back if the 29-year-old Derrick Henry has to miss any time this season, but he could also have standalone value as the team's primary third down back. He should at least be on the fantasy football radar moving forward.
Tennessee Titans rookie running back Tyjae Spears (groin) practiced in full on Thursday and Friday and has been removed from the final Week 2 injury report. He will be active on Sunday against the visiting Los Angeles Chargers. Spears was never really in danger of missing his second NFL game. Believe it or not, he was on the field for four more offensive snaps than Derrick Henry in the Week 1 loss to the New Orleans Saints, although Spears only saw three carries for 27 yards and caught his only target for a one-yard gain. The 22-year-old is the most dynamic backup to Henry that the Titans have probably ever had, but he doesn't have standalone fantasy value just yet. If you have Henry rostered, you should probably have Spears stashed on your bench.
Tennessee Titans running back Tyjae Spears (groin) was limited on Wednesday, but appears to be headed in the right direction. The rookie back was upgraded to a full participant during Thursday's practice. That being said, it appears he should be ready to go in time for Sunday's Week 2 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. The third-rounder saw four more snaps than lead back Derrick Henry in Week 1. That is not likely something that is going to continue to happen regularly. The 22-year-old is worth rostering in dynasty formats, but is unlikely to have a huge role with Henry healthy.

Tennessee Titans running back Tyjae Spears was selected in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, and since Tennessee had much more glaring needs on its roster, it can be assumed they loved him as a prospect. Spears racked up 1,837 yards from scrimmage and 21 touchdowns as a senior at Tulane, flashing big-play ability. Of course, Derrick Henry remains the starter for the Titans, but Spears, who has 48 college receptions, could be utilized in the passing game. If nothing else, he's set up to be...
