Davante Adams Could be in Line for Early-Season Explosion

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams could see a heavy workload in the first few games of the season. In his first season with the Rams in 2025, Adams recorded 789 yards and 14 touchdowns in 14 games, finishing as the WR8 in half-PPR formats. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported earlier in the week that the NFL is reviewing a potential suspension of star receiver Puka Nacua for making antisemitic slurs and allegedly biting a woman during the offseason. Depending on the severity of any suspension, Adams will be assigned a heavy workload during that period. He is currently ranked WR20 in RotoBaller's positional rankings, which could be an incredible value if Nacua misses time.

Puka Nacua Expected Back at Practice Next Week

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua (groin) is expected back on the practice field next week. Head coach Sean McVay said Nacua left Tuesday's practice because of soreness in his psoas, according to Sarah Barshop. Nacua did some work off to the side Thursday, and McVay expects him to be "ready to go" when he returns next week. That's good news after the 25-year-old left Tuesday with the training staff and was initially reported to be dealing with groin soreness. Nacua is coming off a monster 2025 season, catching a league-high 129 passes for 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns in 16 games. He finished second in the NFL in receiving yards and led all players in receptions. The Rams have no reason to push him through an August practice, and McVay's timetable makes this look like a short absence for now. Barring a setback, there isn't much here to change Nacua's fantasy outlook.

Puka Nacua Not Spotted at Practice on Thursday

ESPN's Sarah Barshop did not spot Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua (groin) at training camp practice on Thursday. It doesn't come as much of a surprise after Nacua was pulled from Tuesday's practice as a precaution with a minor groin injury. ESPN's Adam Schefter said on Wednesday that the Rams could keep Nacua out for "a few days," and he almost certainly won't be available to suit up in the preseason opener on Saturday against the Kansas City Chiefs. Barring a setback with his groin, Nacua should be all systems go for a Week 1 showdown in Australia against the division-rival San Francisco 49ers in early September. The 25-year-old former fifth-rounder in 2023 from BYU has quickly become one of the best receivers in the NFL through three seasons, making two Pro Bowls and accumulating 4,191 receiving yards, 313 catches, and 19 touchdowns in 44 regular-season games for the Rams. Nacua is the team's undisputed top target for quarterback Matthew Stafford, and he's ranked as RotoBaller's No. 2 fantasy WR as he enters his fourth year in the league. UPDATE: Nacua is working on a side field on Thursday with trainers.

Puka Nacua Reportedly Runs into Glass Door at a Party

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua admitted on the "Impaulsive" podcast that he ran into a glass window pane at a party hosted by Fanatics founder Michael Rubin, according to Oliver G. of Rams Wire. Nacua said he got distracted while looking for teammate Davante Adams and didn't see the freshly cleaned glass pane in front of him. Podcast host Mike Majlak, who witnessed the aftermath in person, said that Nacua was "bleeding" from his face. Fortunately for Nacua and the Rams, his injury wasn't serious. The 25-year-old pass-catcher suffered a minor groin injury in Tuesday's training camp practice and could miss a couple of days, but that injury also is nothing serious and shouldn't prevent him from being ready for the Week 1 opener in Australia against the division-rival San Francisco 49ers. The former fifth-rounder from BYU has 4,191 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns (10 last year) in his first three NFL seasons to quickly become one of the best receivers in the game. Nacua is ranked as the WR2 at RotoBaller for 2026, behind only the Cincinnati Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase.

Puka Nacua Could be Out a "Few Days" With Groin Injury

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua (groin) left Tuesday's training camp practice early with a minor groin injury and could miss a "few days," according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The Rams have yet to even play their first preseason game this summer, so it's still very early in camp, and Nacua should be just fine for the start of the 2026 regular season in Week 1 in an international affair in Australia against the division-rival San Francisco 49ers. The Rams are going to be extra cautious with the best wide receiver in the game, as they should. The 25-year-old will not suit up for the Rams' preseason opener this Saturday against the Kansas City Chiefs, unsurprisingly. In a Rams offense largely unchanged with reigning MVP QB Matthew Stafford running the show, Nacua is the consensus No. 2 fantasy WR in 2026, behind only the Cincinnati Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase. Nacua led the NFL with 129 receptions and 107.2 yards per game while recording a career-high 1,715 receiving yards and a career-high 10 touchdowns in 16 regular-season games.

Puka Nacua is Dealing with Groin Soreness

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua (groin) left early during Tuesday's practice session, according to Ian Rapoport. Nacua is dealing with minor groin soreness, but it's not expected to be anything serious. The Rams are going to be extremely cautious with their superstar wideout, but fantasy managers shouldn't be worried right now. Fantasy managers should consider Nacua as day-to-day, and expect him to be fine for Week 1. He remains a consensus top-five pick in all fantasy drafts this year.

Puka Nacua Leaves Practice Early With Unspecified Injury

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua left Tuesday's practice early with an injury, according to Ari Meirov. Head coach Sean McVay said afterward that the team was still unsure what Nacua had injured, so there is no body part, diagnosis or timetable to attach to this yet. That's really the whole story for now. Nacua is coming off a 2025 season in which he led the NFL with 129 catches and finished second with 1,715 receiving yards while scoring 10 touchdowns in 16 games. He is also currently No. 3 overall in RotoBaller's PPR rankings, which makes any health update worth following closely. Still, there is no reason to assume this is either minor or serious before the Rams know what happened. Nacua's status at the next practice, or another update from McVay, should give fantasy managers a better idea of whether this was just a brief scare or something that could linger.

Potential NFL Discipline Looms for Puka Nacua

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua could be facing discipline from the NFL. Adam Schefter reports that Nacua is among a group of players with potential punishment looming, though there is no word yet on the extent of the punishment. Nacua is facing a civil lawsuit stemming from a New Year's Eve incident in which a woman accused him of making an antisemitic remark and biting her. His attorney has denied the allegations. Schefter noted that there is a possibility the superstar will be held out of action in Week 1. From a fantasy standpoint, the uncertainty matters because Nacua is coming off a huge season. He led the NFL with 129 catches while finishing with 1,715 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in 16 games. RotoBaller currently has him No. 3 overall among all players and the WR1. For now, this is simply something to closely watch until the league makes a decision.

Rams General Manager Declines to Speak on Puka Nacua's Contract Negotiations

While recently speaking with reporters, Los Angeles Rams general manager Les Snead declined to answer a question about wide receiver Puka Nacua's ongoing contract negotiations, saying, "We'll keep that between us." He did offer up that the first-team All-Pro is "in a great spot," following an offseason in which he drew headlines for some of his off-field antics. Nacua led the NFL with 129 receptions on his way to a WR1 finish in 2025, and when he's healthy and involved, he is one of fantasy's biggest difference-makers. The former fifth-round pick has seen his value grow year over year, and as RotoBaller's WR1, he belongs in the conversation for the first overall pick in 2026 drafts.

Puka Nacua "Noticeably Slimmer" in Training Camp

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua has a "noticeably slimmer frame than the one he played with last season," according to Nate Atkins of The Athletic. Atkins reports that Nacua is attempting to "balance his across-the-middle physical style with a bit more finesse and burst in perimeter alignments." The 25-year-old put together a monster season in 2025, recording 129 catches for 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns on 166 targets across 16 games. However, Nacua has battled some off-field issues that may be holding up extension talks with the Rams as he enters the final year of his rookie contract. The star wideout has reportedly been a standout performer in the early days of training camp, so it appears he has come into the year motivated and ready to work. Nacua remains a viable candidate to be the first wide receiver off the board in redraft leagues going into 2026.
