Chandler Stephenson Doubles His Points Tally With Four Assists

Seattle Kraken center Chandler Stephenson came to life with four assists in Tuesday's 8-2 demolition job against Montreal. Stephenson sat on only four points for the year and had gone three games without any points before putting on a playmaking clinic. Three of his helpers came on the power play. The 30-year-old now has one goal and seven assists for the season with 10 games played. Stephenson needs to find consistency on the second line. He has bolstered his points tally in only four games this season while struggling during even-strength play, which has resulted in a minus-five rating for him.

Chandler Stephenson Heads To Seattle

The Seattle Kraken have signed center Chandler Stephenson to a seven-year deal worth $6.25 Million AAV. Stephenson will be signed through his age-37 season, giving him some long-term security. The silky centerman has put up some solid season in Vegas, collecting 215 points in 286 games in his last four seasons. He hasn't eclipsed the 65-point mark and likely tops out as a second-line player, but can still be a solid complimentary piece when surrounded by the right players. He shouldn't be drafted in fantasy until the very late stages in standard leagues.

Chandler Stephenson Expected To Play On Monday

Vegas Golden Knights center Chandler Stephenson missed Sunday's practice due to an illness, but head coach Bruce Cassidy expects to have him available for Monday's matchup against Nashville. With Jack Eichel (undisclosed) already out, Vegas' center depth could be in dire straits if Stephenson also has to miss time. Stephenson has been the team's fifth-best scorer this season, with 20 points (seven goals, 13 assists) to his name in 39 appearances. Brett Howden could be his replacement in the top six if Stephenson isn't healthy enough to play on Monday.

Chandler Stephenson To Miss Next Two Games

Vegas Golden Knights forward Chandler Stephenson will miss the team's next two games with an undisclosed injury originally suffered on Saturday against the Avalanche but was reaggravated in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Anaheim Ducks. "Hopefully, some rest will do him some good and we'll get him back on the road trip," Vegas head coach Bruce Cassidy said on Stephenson. "We're going to roll without him for these two." The Golden Knights host the surging Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday night before hosting the San Jose Sharks on Friday. Stephenson has recorded two goals and eight assists across 13 games on the season while centering the Golden Knights' second line alongside Mark Stone and William Carrier.

Chandler Stephenson Begins Season With Two-Point Effort

Vegas Golden Knights center Chandler Stephenson began his 2023-24 campaign with a two-point effort in Tuesday night's victory over the visiting Seattle Kraken. The 29-year-old got the scoring started for Vegas with a first-period tally before adding an assist on Jack Eichel's empty-net goal with just over a minute remaining in his club's straightforward 4-1 win over their division rival. Stephenson has been a solid contributor for the Golden Knights over the last two seasons, notching a career-high 21 goals along with 64 points in the 2021-22 season before chipping in 16 goals and a career-high 65 points last season. He is a solid depth fantasy piece in deeper leagues but his lack of shots on goal -- just 120 of them in 81 games last season -- puts a cap on his fantasy value.

Chandler Stephenson Leads Team Offensively In Game 4 Victory

Vegas Golden Knights center Chandler Stephenson scored two goals in Saturday's 3-2 victory in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final. Stephenson opened the scoring less than two minutes into the game, and he added another goal on a one-timer at the midway mark of the second period to bring his total to 10 goals throughout the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Stephenson has been an important contributor for the Golden Knights throughout the playoff run as the forward has collected 19 points through 21 games.

Chandler Stephenson Scores Overtime Winner In Game 2

Vegas Golden Knights forward Chandler Stephenson put the team up 2-0 in the Western Conference Finals against Dallas with an overtime goal on Sunday. The game went into overtime when Jonathan Marchessault tied it at two late in regulation, and Stephenson needed just 1:12 of action after the break to end the contest. He also had a power-play assist on Sunday. Stephenson had a quiet series last round against Edmonton, but he has opened the Conference Finals with three points in two games and now boasts seven goals and six assists in 13 games for the entire 2023 playoff campaign.

Chandler Stephenson Pots Two Goals As Vegas Eliminates Winnipeg

Vegas Golden Knights forward Chandler Stephenson scored twice in Thursday's Game 5 against the Jets, helping the team eliminate Winnipeg from the playoffs with a 4-1 victory. He opened the scoring just 50 seconds into the first period and popped up with a power-play marker in the second. Stephenson joined Toronto's Mitchell Marner as the second player this postseason with a four-game multi-point streak. He was kept off the score sheet in Game 1, but Stephenson then heated up in a hurry, finishing the series with four goals and four assists. Stephenson's line, which also includes Mark Stone and Brett Howden, combined for a whopping 20 points in total in the five-game series.

Chandler Stephenson Records Another Multi-Point Game

Vegas Golden Knights forward Chandler Stephenson had a third consecutive multi-point outing as the team defeated the Winnipeg Jets 4-2 on Monday. The Golden Knights were rocked by a 5-1 defeat in Game 1 of the series, but they have since then taken full control of the proceedings, with Stephenson being the main offensive catalyst. He has amassed a team-high six points in the series with two goals and four assists. He did the damage on Monday with assists, helping Brett Howden and Ivan Barbashev to score their first playoff goals of the year. Stephenson will now look to match Max Pacioretty's franchise record with a fourth straight multi-point game in the playoffs on Thursday.

Chandler Stephenson Helps To Set Up Four Goals Tuesday

Vegas Golden Knights forward Chandler Stephenson put on a playmaking clinic on Tuesday against the Jets, collecting four assists in a 6-5 victory. Two of his helpers came on the power play. Stephenson finished off November having a cold spell, but he has quickly hit form again this month and it's lifted him to 27 points. In 31 games, Stephenson has also tallied 52 shots, 40 hits and 22 blocks with a plus-nine rating. He has become a regular on the top line, and Stephenson's all-around contributions make him a very valuable fantasy piece.

Chandler Stephenson Enjoys Two-Point Second Period Tuesday

Vegas Golden Knights center Chandler Stephenson finally scored a goal on Tuesday night versus the Los Angeles Kings. That ended an eight-game goal drought for the Vegas forward. Stephenson waited until the second period to get on the board. Nicolas Roy set up the center just 1:21 into the second period for Stephenson's tenth goal of the season. Then, after his power play tally, the center picked up an assist on Mattias Janmark's goal 86 seconds later that made it 5-1 Vegas. With the two points, Stephenson moved up to 33 points in 32 games this year proving that so far, last season was far from a fluke.

Chandler Stephenson Makes Franchise History Tuesday Night

Vegas Golden Knights forward Chandler Stephenson remained in a giving mood on Tuesday against Boston, collecting three assists in a 4-1 win. He became the first player in franchise history to record back-to-back games with three-plus assists. Stephenson is having a fantastic year with 29 points in 27 games. Jack Eichel (neck) will eventually want to claim the first-line center spot, but separating Stephenson, Max Pacioretty and Mark Stone looks like a horrible idea at the minute. The red-hot trio gets three more games this week, starting with Thursday's very juicy spot against New Jersey.

Chandler Stephenson Deals Out Four Helpers Sunday

Vegas Golden Knights center Chandler Stephenson was in a very helpful mood on Sunday night. He dished out four assists in all during the 6-4 victory over the Minnesota Wild. Stephenson only had one shot on goal, two blocked shots, and a couple of takeaways. Two of those assists were on the power play. The center now has seven points in his last five games and is up to an even point a game (26 points in 26 games). Needless to say, the Vegas top line is one of the hottest in hockey as Minnesota found out the hard way.

Chandler Stephenson Misses Friday's Action For Personal Reasons

Vegas Golden Knights forward Chandler Stephenson won't be in the lineup on Friday against Philadelphia, missing the contest for personal reasons. It's not a real Vegas lineup without at least one top-six forward missing, but hopefully, everything works out well for Stephenson and he can return quickly. The 27-year-old is having a very good season with a team-high 22 points in 25 games. He's the first-line center for the team and it's not yet known who will take Stephenson's spot. He should be considered day-to-day for now, and it's possible that Stephenson will return on Sunday against Minnesota.

Chandler Stephenson Stops A Goal Drought Monday Night

Vegas Golden Knights forward Chandler Stephenson scored his sixth goal of the season in Monday's 5-2 loss to St. Louis, ending a seven-game goal drought. The goals have dried up for Stephenson as the team has been forced to battle with injuries, but he's been pretty consistent throughout the season with 17 points in 19 games. Mark Stone is already back and Max Pacioretty (foot) is slated to return this week as well, so Stephenson will soon have a chance to skate with his regular linemates again, and that can only lead to good stuff.

Chandler Stephenson Notches Two Goals On Saturday

Vegas Golden Knights centerman Chandler Stephenson potted two markers and added an assist on Saturday against Anaheim. Vegas beat Anaheim 5-1 to claim their ninth straight win. Stephenson has been a critical factor in helping Vegas win this year, centering the team's first line at times. He has scored four game-winning goals and averages just over 17:30 minutes of playing time per game. Surprisingly, Stephenson is only rostered in 26 percent of leagues on Yahoo! The Vegas forward could be a strong waiver wire pickup if a fantasy manager needs a consistent centerman.

Chandler Stephenson Gets Suspended For Three Games

Vegas Golden Knights forward Chandler Stephenson was suspended for three games on Thursday for elbowing Tobias Bjornfot in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to Los Angeles. The 26-year-old will start his suspension with Thursday's home game against Minnesota, and he will be available again next Wednesday against St. Louis. Stephenson has been centering the team's first line this season, collecting 20 points in 32 games with a plus-10 rating. Vegas head coach Peter DeBoer now has some head-scratching to do regarding his top line. With Cody Glass being sent to the AHL for poor play in five-on-five situations, there's nobody on the roster standing out as Stephenson's direct replacement.
Apr 1, 2021

Chandler Stephenson, Alex Tuch Questionable For Wednesday

Vegas Golden Knights forwards Chandler Stephenson and Alex Tuch are both game-time decisions for Wednesday's matchup with the Sharks. Stephenson already missed Monday's 2-1 victory over San Jose, while Tuch could end up missing his first game of the year. Stephenson has been the first-line center this season and Cody Glass replaced him in the role Monday night. Tuch has consistently produced in various roles, racking up 20 points in 26 games. Only Max Pacioretty has scored more goals (14) for Vegas this season than Tuch (13). Glass is on a six-game point drought, but he should be on fantasy managers' radar as a short-term option whilst he skates with Pacioretty and Vegas' top scorer Mark Stone, who has 33 points in 25 games.

Chandler Stephenson Listed As Game-Time Call On Monday

Vegas Golden Knights forward Chandler Stephenson has been labeled as a game-time decision ahead of his team's matchup with the San Jose Sharks on Monday night. Stephenson, who has compiled eight points (two goals, six assists) over his past eight games, did not participate in Vegas' morning skate due to an undisclosed injury. Still just 24% owned in Yahoo! leagues, the 26-year-old could be a strong add (if healthy) with the Golden Knights set to play four games this week. He has 18 points (seven goals, 11 assists), a plus-13 rating, 29 shots and 22 hits in 25 games played this season.

Chandler Stephenson Continues Hot Streak

Vegas Golden Knights forward Chandler Stephenson had a goal and an assist in Saturday's 3-1 victory over the Sharks, registering his third multi-point performance across his last four games. Stephenson struck on a power play in the third period to record his fifth marker of the season and he also had a power-play assist on a Jonathan Marchessault goal. The Knights put on a power-play clinic, as Mark Stone notched one with the man advantage as well. Stephenson has flown under the radar in fantasy hockey this season, despite centering the first line for a very strong Vegas team and logging power-play minutes on the second unit. He'll look to keep up his form on Sunday against Colorado.
