Cooper Kinney Stellar Through July
Tampa Bay Rays second base prospect Cooper Kinney has looked quite comfortable through his first look at High-A ball this summer and has begun to post excellent numbers through July. Since the start of the month, the 21-year-old has posted a strong .364/.375/.673 line with three home runs, nine RBI, and two stolen bases. Overall, through 74 games this season at High-A Bowling Green, the 2021 draft pick has held a .298/.359/.509 slash line. Kinney could push for a late-season promotion to Double-A if he can carry this momentum into August. MLB.com considers the infielder the 23rd-best prospect in the Rays pipeline and projects him to reach the majors in 2026.
