Cory Lewis Could Reach Majors This Season
Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Cory Lewis is getting extremely close to being ready to pitch in the MLB. Lewis was the Twins' minor-league pitcher of the year in 2023, but injuries slowed down his 2024 campaign. Despite that, Lewis was still success with a 2.51 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and 92/40 K/BB ratio across 19 games (17 starts) between four different levels. Lewis earned his way up to Triple-A, so pitching in the majors is on the horizon. He's most known for his mid-80s knuckleball, but Lewis also has a full arsenal of pitches which helps make his knuckleball even better. The hope is that Lewis can be on the Twins roster by the summer, but that also depends on how he does early on in the minors. The Twins expect Lewis to be a middle of the rotation or possibly back-end starter, but that knuckleball could truly be his key to success in the MLB.
