Gabriel Gonzalez Headed to Triple-A

The Minnesota Twins are promoting outfield prospect Gabriel Gonzalez to Triple-A St. Paul. Gonzalez has been one of the most productive hitters in the Minnesota system this season and is being rewarded with another promotion. The 21-year-old opened the 2025 campaign with High-A and needed just 34 games to prove he was ready to move up to Double-A. At High-A, Gonzalez posted a .319/.378/.529 line with a .907 OPS. Then, at Double-A Wichita, Gonzalez continued to swing a scorching hot bat. Through 55 games, the outfielder posted an elite .344/.429/.509 slash line with 19 doubles, four home runs, five stolen bases, and a .938 OPS. Given his quick progression this season, Gonzalez should be in a great position to make his MLB debut in 2026.

Gabriel Gonzalez Surging at Double-A Wichita

Minnesota Twins outfield prospect Gabriel Gonzalez is currently tied for the minor league lead in total hits with 108, including 29 doubles, which are the third-most in the minors. On the back of a 12.0 percent strikeout rate and minuscule 7.7 percent swinging-strike rate, the Twins' 17th-ranked prospect has helped himself to a robust .347/.420/.527 slash line through 78 games (34 at High-A, 44 at Double-A). The Venezuelan was the team's fourth-ranked prospect last year, but an uninspiring 2024 led to a drop in ranking. However, he looks to be returning to the once-promising form he showed while in the Seattle organization before coming over in the deal that sent Jorge Polanco westward. He looks ready for a test at Triple-A, and the 21-year-old could be making fantasy waves next year if everything goes right.

Gabriel Gonzalez Swinging A Hot Bat At High-A

Minnesota Twins outfield prospect Gabriel Gonzalez has posted an impressive .462/.500/.923 slash line through his first three games of the High-A regular season. Gonzalez was named Midwest League Player of the Week due to his elite performance. He tallied three doubles, one home run, and held a 1:2 BB:K. He tallied three RBI and scored two runs. Gonzalez is considered the No. 21 prospect in the Minnesota system on MLB Pipeline. Last summer, the 21-year-old spent most of the campaign at High-A and held a modest .253/.327/.379 across 76 games. He held a 22:49 BB:K and hit only four long balls. Fantasy managers should expect Gonzalez to contend for an early-season Double-A debut, especially if he continues to remain productive.

Gabriel Gonzalez Collects Three Hits Wednesday

Minnesota Twins outfield prospect Gabriel Gonzalez went 3-for-3 on Wednesday for High-A Cedar Rapids. Two of the hits were doubles, he walked once, drove in two, scored twice, and stole two bases. Despite the big day at the plate, his batting average stands at .250 on the young season, but hopefully this breakout game is a sign of things to come for MLB's 72nd overall prospect. The Twins' fourth-ranked prospect hit .348 in Single-A over 73 games in 2023, but just .215 in 43 games at High-A. On the plus side he hit nine home runs at each stop, totaling 18, and he's still only 20 years old so there's time to grow into more power.

Gabriel Gonzalez Homers To Extend Hit Streak

Seattle Mariners outfield prospect Gabriel Gonzalez hit a home run to extend his hit streak to 14 games in a 2-for-5 showing for High-A Everett. The hit streak stretches back to his time with Single-A Modesto, where he slashed .348/.403/.530 with nine home runs, 51 runs, 54 RBI, and eight stolen bases. Through 10 games with Everett, Gonzalez is slashing .295/.367/.727 with six home runs, nine runs, 15 RBI, and a stolen base. The 19-year-old is years away from the majors but worth looking at in dynasty leagues.
