Quinn Priester Gets the Nod for Game 3 Against Cubs

Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Quinn Priester will start Game 3 of the National League Division Series on Wednesday at Wrigley Field against the division-rival Chicago Cubs, according to Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Priester will get the nod to potentially close out the NLDS with a sweep over Chicago after he was not used out of the bullpen as a long man in the Game 2 win over Chicago on Monday. The 25-year-old settled in nicely in his first year in Milwaukee in 2025 and ended up appearing in a career-high 29 games (24 starts) for the Brew Crew, going 13-3 with a nice 3.32 ERA (4.01 FIP) and 1.24 WHIP with 132 strikeouts and 50 walks in 157 1/3 innings pitched. He'll be looking to bounce back against the Cubbies, who he will be facing for the fourth time this year. In three outings (two starts) against them in the regular season, Priester allowed 10 earned runs in 14 1/3 innings with 17 hits allowed (three homers), 11 walks, and 11 strikeouts.

Jose Quintana or Quinn Priester Could Start Game 2 of NLDS

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Jose Quintana and Quinn Priester are both being considered as candidates to start Game 2 of the NLDS, according to manager Pat Murphy. The Brewers have already named Freddy Peralta as Saturday's Game 1 starter against the Chicago Cubs. Quintana has been sidelined with a calf strain, but appears to be healthy now. He posted a 3.97 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and an 89/50 K/BB ratio across 24 starts this season. Priester came out of seemingly nowhere and registered a 3.32 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and a 132/50 K/BB ratio in 24 starts. Both pitchers have been viable options for the Brewers and figure to both be used during this series.

Quinn Priester Pushed Back to Saturday

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Quinn Priester (wrist) was scratched from his scheduled start on Wednesday. According to Brewers manager Pat Murphy, Priester is being pushed back to Saturday due to a wrist issue. It doesn't sound like something that is going to require a trip to the injured list. Instead, the Brewers will opt to give Priester some extra rest and hope that'll fix the issue. In his place, Aaron Ashby will draw the start on Wednesday with newly signed Erick Fedde serving as the bulk option out of the bullpen. This is a situation to avoid in fantasy formats. Fantasy managers should check back later in the week for another update on Priester.

DL Hall Opening in Front of Quinn Priester on Friday

Milwaukee Brewers left-hander DL Hall will serve as the opener for Friday's series opener at American Family Field against the visiting Washington Nationals, with right-hander Quinn Priester serving as the bulk reliever, according to MLB.com's Adam McCalvy. Hall could give a bit more length than a traditional opener, as he's gone three innings in both of his opening assignments for the Brew Crew. Still, he won't be around long enough to potentially pick up a win for fantasy managers, so he's not really worth any streaming consideration against the Nats. The 26-year-old southpaw has pitched well overall in just 10 outings (two starts) in 2025, posting a 2.29 ERA and 0.86 WHIP with 13 K's in 19 2/3 frames. Priester, who has a 3.59 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 65:30 K:BB this year in 82 2/3 innings, will be the much more attractive fantasy starter on Friday over Hall.

Quinn Priester Fans 11 in One-Hit Gem

Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Quinn Priester turned in the best performance of his young career in a 5-0 victory over the Colorado Rockies on Saturday. The 24-year-old improved to 6-2 after throwing seven innings of scoreless ball with one hit allowed and 11 strikeouts against two walks. Michael Toglia's fifth-inning single was all the Rockies could muster against Priester, who threw 95 pitches and got 20 swinging strikes. It was a fantastic ending to a terrific June for Priester. He threw 27 innings this month and allowed just six earned runs. He'll head into July with a 3.35 ERA, 61:26 K:BB, and a 1.23 WHIP over 78 frames. Priester could begin next month on a high note with a start against the Miami Marlins on the 4th.

Quinn Priester Delivers Six Strong Innings in Third Consecutive Win

Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Quinn Priester (4-2) delivered six strong innings in Tuesday night's 4-1 victory over the Atlanta Braves. Priester struck out seven and allowed one run on seven hits, securing his fourth win of the season. After moving between teams and struggling with consistency last year, the 24-year-old is settling into his role with Milwaukee. He currently owns a 3.65 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and 43 strikeouts in 61 2/3 innings, all career bests. Priester will look to earn his fourth consecutive win in his next scheduled start Sunday against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Quinn Priester Not Expected to Miss Turn in the Rotation

Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Quinn Priester (finger) received treatment for a blister after his start on Saturday against the Pittsburgh Pirates in which he picked up a no-decision, but he said that he doesn't expect to miss a turn through the starting rotation. Priester allowed only one earned run on six hits while walking one and striking out seven in six innings in the great matchup against the Bucs despite dealing with a blister issue on his right middle finger. If the 25-year-old indeed does make his next turn through the rotation, it will come in a much more unfriendly matchup for fantasy managers on the road at Citizens Bank Park this Friday versus the Philadelphia Phillies. The 24-year-old former first-rounder has made nine appearances (seven starts) in his first year in Milwaukee an has posted a 4.23 ERA (4.64 FIP) and 1.43 WHIP while walking 23 and striking out 32 in 44 2/3 frames.

Quinn Priester Picks Up Win On Tuesday

Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Quinn Priester pitched well in a 5-0 win over the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday. Priester tossed five scoreless innings, allowing just one hit, walking three, and striking out four to earn his first win of the season. The 24-year-old hurler notched seven swinging strikes while keeping the Detroit hitters off balance for much of the outing. Priester has looked good in his two starts for the Brewers after they acquired him from the Boston Red Sox in a trade last week. He is worth considering as a streamer in deeper leagues moving forward.

Quinn Priester To Make Another Start On Wednesday

Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Quinn Priester will make another start for the Brewers and is lined up to pitch on Wednesday against the Detroit Tigers and right-hander Jack Flaherty at American Family Field. To keep Priester in the starting rotation for another turn, the Brewers are moving Elvin Rodriguez to the bullpen. The 24-year-old Priester was acquired in a trade from the Boston Red Sox last week and looked good in his debut with Milwaukee last week against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field, allowing one earned run on six hits while walking two and striking out fur in five innings pitched. He'll have a bit more of a difficult matchup this time around in Detroit, but Priester is still worth streaming considering in deeper leagues. When both Tobias Myers (oblique) and Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) return from the injured list, Priester might not have a spot left in the rotation, though.

Quinn Priester Posts No-Decision In Team Debut

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Quinn Priester looked solid on the mound during his team debut against the Colorado Rockies on Thursday. The right-hander was recently traded to Milwaukee from the Boston Red Sox earlier this week. The Brewers are a bit banged up in the starting rotation, so they could use Priester right now. He looked good as he tossed five innings, allowing five hits, one earned run, and striking out four batters in the no-decision. Priester really didn't give up any damage outside of a leadoff solo home run in the opening frame. He's unlikely to stick in the rotation long term, but figures to make at least another start. If he does, Priester would be in line to face the Detroit Tigers early next week. He could offer some low-end streaming value in that start.
