Zyhir Hope Shipped to Detroit as Headliner Piece in Blockbuster Deal

The Los Angeles Dodgers traded outfield prospect Zyhir Hope as the headliner in the deal that brought them left-handed pitcher Tarik Skubal on Saturday evening, according to Jeff Passan of ESPN. Hope was viewed as the No. 3-ranked prospect in the Dodgers system before the trade and sits as the No. 19 overall prospect in the sport on MLB Pipeline. Alongside Hope, the Dodgers traded right-handed pitchers River Ryan and Brady Smith. Hope has spent the entire 2026 season at the Double-A level and looked comfortable. Through 94 games at Tulsa, the budding star has posted a dominant .293/.363/.530 line with a .899 OPS, 17 doubles, 23 home runs, and 18 stolen bases. Fantasy managers should keep a close eye on his status as a late-season promotion to Triple-A Toledo is likely in play given how comfortable he has looked at Double-A. He is expected to compete for a 2027 MLB debut.

Zyhir Hope is Scratched from Saturday's Lineup

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielders Zyhir Hope and Kendall George have been scratched from the starting lineup ahead of Saturday's game with Double-A Tulsa, according to Jon Heyman of the MLB Network. There is no injury reason given for their absence, so the assumption is that both players could be part of an upcoming blockbuster trade. Hope is considered one of the best outfield prospects in the league and is currently ranked as the No. 25 prospect in baseball. George is a former first-round pick who offers good upside with the bat as well. Fantasy managers should stay tuned for more updates on this situation in the coming days.

Zyhir Hope Lights Up the Scoresheet with Another Multi-Home Run Game

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect Zyhir Hope turned in another stellar effort at the Double-A level on Saturday evening. Facing Frisco, the No. 19 overall prospect in the sport went 3-for-4 with two home runs and two RBI. Hope has spent the entire 2026 campaign with Double-A and has performed at a high level. Through 84 total contests with Tulsa, the budding superstar has carried a .292/.373/.538 slash line with a .910 OPS. He has launched 16 doubles, added 21 round-trippers, and even swiped 15 bags. However, over his last 12 contests, Hope has seen his production soar even further, especially when looking at his power. During this noted stretch, Hope has launched eight long balls with a 1.021 SLG. Given his current pace, a call-up to Triple-A seems very likely down the stretch.

Is Zyhir Hope Nearing a Call to Triple-A?

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect Zyhir Hope has enjoyed a strong first half of the season wth Double-A Tulsa and should be in the mix to push for a second-half promotion to Triple-A. Currently, Hope is viewed as the sport's No. 19 overall prospect and the No. 3 overall prospect in a deep Dodgers system that features some of the top outfield prospects in the game, such as Josue De Paula and Mike Sirota. Through 77 games with Double-A this season, the 21-year-old has posted a strong .286/.362/.500 line with a .862 OPS, 15 doubles, 16 home runs, and an impressive 13 stolen bases. Last summer, he spent most of his time with High-A before moving up to Double-A late in the season. Given his current production, dynasty managers should expect Hope to reach Oklahoma City later in the season, which sets him up to compete for an early 2027 MLB debut.

Zyhir Hope Reassigned to Minor-League Camp on Monday

The Los Angeles Dodgers announced on Monday that they reassigned outfield prospect Zyhir Hope to minor-league camp, according to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. Hope was always a long shot to break camp with the big-league squad out of spring training, especially after hitting just .167 (6-for-36) with no homers, two doubles, five RBI, seven runs scored, three walks, and 12 strikeouts in 39 plate appearances over 20 Cactus League games in spring training. The 21-year-old is expected to begin the 2026 campaign at Double-A Tulsa after hitting .266/.376/.428 with an .804 OPS, 13 home runs, 80 RBI, 69 runs scored, and 27 stolen bases in 127 games with High-A Great Lakes and Tulsa in 2025. Hope played in only six games for Tulsa. Despite standing at only 5-foot-10, 193 pounds, he has impressive raw power from the left side. The Dodgers' No. 2 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, is likely to spend all of 2026 in the minors before potentially debuting in the Show in 2027. For now, he's strictly a stash candidate in dynasty/keeper leagues for his power/speed upside.

Zyhir Hope Earns Invite to MLB Spring Training

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect Zyhir Hope earned an invite to MLB spring training. Hope is quickly climbing prospect boards and is entering the 2026 campaign as one of the top outfield prospects in the game. According to MLB.com, Hope is the team's No.2-ranked prospect and the sport's No. 20-ranked prospect, sitting behind fellow outfield teammate Josue De Paula. Last summer, the 21-year-old spent the majority of the campaign with High-A Great Lakes before earning a short six-game stint at Double-A. With Great Lakes, Hope posted a .264/.377/.428 slash line with 13 home runs and 26 stolen bases. He carried this momentum into Double-A, posting a .316/.350/.421 line. While Hope will not break camp with the MLB roster, he will likely open the season with Double-A, which could open the door for a second-half Triple-A promotion.

Zyhir Hope an Ascending Dynasty Asset in Los Angeles System

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect Zyhir Hope has seen his stock increase over the past year and is seen as not only one of the top prospects in the Dodgers system, but in all of baseball. In 2025, Hope began the campaign with High-A and spent 121 games with Great Lakes. During this stint, the 21-year-old outfielder posted an elite .264/.377/.428 line with an .805 OPS. He hit 27 doubles, added 13 long balls, and swiped 26 bases. He then earned a brief six-game stint with Double-A to conclude the season, where he went 6-for-19 with two doubles and a stolen base. Hope now sits as the No. 20-ranked prospect in baseball and the No. 2-ranked in Los Angeles, only behind fellow outfielder Josue De Paula. While Hope is unlikely to debut in 2026, he is a name to follow in dynasty/keeper leagues as he appears to be a budding five-category producer.

Zyhir Hope Earns Promotion to Double-A Tulsa

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect Zyhir Hope is headed to Double-A Tulsa following a strong season at High-A Great Lakes. The Dodgers' second-ranked prospect (MLB No. 19) slashed .264/.377/.428 with 13 home runs and 26 steals in 121 games at High-A. The strikeout rate is something to keep an eye on at the next level, as he recorded an elevated 26.5 percent rate for the Loons, but it was somewhat offset by a strong 14.9 percent walk rate, and if he can continue to grow into additional power, then it may not matter all that much. The 20-year-old could be in the majors by 2027, and as a projected potential 30-home run hitter, he should be rostered already in dynasty leagues.

Zyhir Hope in Slump at High-A

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect Zyhir Hope has hit a bit of a slump at the plate at High-A Great Lakes. Over his last seven games, the budding star has gone just 1-for-24 at the plate with one run and one RBI. During this stretch, Hope has struck out nine times, drawn six walks, and swiped three bags. However, before this stretch, Hope held an impressive .290/.392/.629 slash line with four doubles, five home runs, and a 1.021 OPS over his last 17 games. Overall, Hope has enjoyed a very productive campaign at High-A, posting an .850 OPS through a 96-game stint. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on his progression as he continues to climb prospect boards, now sitting as the No. 36 on MLB Pipeline. He is a strong stash in dynasty leagues even though he is likely two seasons away from his MLB debut.
