Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston was benched Sunday after throwing his fourth interception of the game. Coach Dirk Koetter opted for veteran QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to take over under center and he was as effective as he could be in limited playing time. Fitzpatrick led the Bucs to three scoring drives in four attempts and got his team back in the game. The Bucs were down 18 points to the Bengals and came all the way back to tie only to lose on a game-winning field goal. Next week's starter remains to be revealed but after this game, it shouldn't surprise anyone if Fitzpatrick gets the nod.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston was benched in the second half in Week 8 against the Bengals after going 18-for-35 for 275 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions, including a pick-six. Winston has been solid for fantasy owners in this pass-first offense in recent weeks, but this was not one of them. He was constantly missing receivers and overthrowing his targets, and the Bengals defense made him pay. With Tampa at a crossroads, it's fair to wonder if they'll give the starting job back to Ryan Fitzpatrick heading into Week 9 against the Panthers. Wide receiver DeSean Jackson, who excelled with Fitzpatrick to start the season, would benefit the most if the team goes back to Fitz.

Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston finds himself in QB1 territory this Sunday in Cincinnati. The Bengals defense has been exposable all season long and despite the lack of a solid rushing attack, the Bucs should pose a formidable threat. Winston has posted consecutive QB1 performances against the Browns and Falcons, therefore, it is fair to assume that he keeps it up against weak competition. The increased rushing attempts these past two weeks could display a trend which owners should hope to continue. If Winston could buoy his stat-lines with rushing yards and touchdowns, then the sky is the limit for an offense that will be relying on him to cover for their defense.
