Chad Ryland is a Viable Kicker Option in Week 12

Arizona Cardinals kicker Chad Ryland has had back-to-back games under five fantasy points for the first time this season. The 26-year-old went one for two with making an extra point attempt during Week 11's matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, making a field goal within the 30 and missing his first field goal on the year from 50-plus yards out. Ryland and the Cardinals will face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 12, and they have allowed the 10th most passing yards this season. The Cardinals should be able to move the ball through the air to get Ryland into field goal range quite consistently. Fantasy managers can insert Ryland into lineups as a viable streaming option in Week 12.

Chad Ryland Offers Streaming Appeal for Week 10

Arizona Cardinals kicker Chad Ryland has been a sneaky solid option over the last few weeks. In fact, Ryland hasn't missed a kick since missing a 57-yard try against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 3. The 26-year-old has made five kicks in each of his last three games. Ryland is flying under the radar right now, but has been one of the more consistent kickers in the league this season. He's not a top option at his position, but is well worth a look as a streaming option for fantasy managers seeking a kicker for Week 10.

Chad Ryland Might be Worth a Start in Week 9

Arizona Cardinals kicker Chad Ryland has bounced all around the fantasy kicker leaderboards this season, which makes sense given how inconsistent this offense can be. In Week 7, he finished as the K5, which was his highest finish since Week 4. Now, after their bye, the Cardinals are set to take on the Dallas Cowboys, who have given up far too many points to almost every team they've faced. That also makes them the 20th-ranked team against opposing kickers, allowing 8.75 fantasy points per matchup. Since Jacoby Brissett has been a bit more successful at moving the ball down the field, Ryland could be in for another solid week, and that makes him a startable option again for those looking for a bye week fill-in.

Chad Ryland a Worthy Starting Option in Week 5?

Arizona Cardinals kicker Chad Ryland has connected on eight of 10 field goal attempts and all eight of his extra-point tries through his first four games of 2025. Both he and the Cardinals should have plenty of opportunities to put points on the board in Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans, who are allowing an average of 30 points per game so far this season. Ryland also has the benefit of playing this week at home in Arizona, eliminating any weather concerns from the equation. The 25-year-old profiles as a low-end starting fantasy kicker option in Week 5 against Tennessee.

Mid-Tier Matchup For Chad Ryland In Week 4

Arizona Cardinals kicker Chad Ryland should be viewed as a middle-of-the-pack kicking option when his team takes on the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday. So far this season, the Seahawks rank 10th against kickers, while Ryland is the No. 13 fantasy kicker, making Thursday an average matchup at best. The third-year kicker made 88% of his field goal attempts last season and is off to a solid 6-for-8 start this season, keeping him on the fringes of being a fantasy starter in deeper leagues. This week, however, managers should look for a stronger starting candidate.

Chad Ryland Remains a Mid-Tier Option in Week 3

Arizona Cardinals kicker Chad Ryland has turned in some solid performances thus far, with another multi-field goal outing in Week 2. He booted a 29-yarder and a 47-yarder while making all three of his extra-point attempts as well. He's currently the K13 on the season, and he looks to be hovering right around the same area for Week 3. The San Francisco 49ers' defense presents the biggest challenge for the Cardinals' offense so far, which could put a damper on Ryland's opportunities if they can't rise above it. There are better kicking options out there, but Ryland could be an option for anyone in a pinch.

Chad Ryland a Viable Starting Option in Week 2

Arizona Cardinals kicker Chad Ryland put together a solid performance in Week 1 after scoring a total of eight points while going 2-for-3 in field goals. He knocked through a 42 and 50-yard field goal, but had a 46-yarder blocked in the fourth quarter. The Cardinals' offense should be able to move the ball down the field again in Week 2 as they take on the Carolina Panthers, who just gave up 26 points to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1. This puts Ryland into the K1 category again, especially after registering a K10 finish in that first outing.

Chad Ryland a Mid-Level Play in Week 1

Arizona Cardinals kicker Chad Ryland finished in K2 territory (K18 overall) last season despite hitting 87.5% of his field goals. The Cardinals' offense stalled out in a handful of games, which hurt Ryland's overall production since he wasn't getting into field goal range all the time and wasn't bolstering his fantasy output with extra point attempts. According to RotoBaller's rankings, Ryland is projected to be the K15 and could even finish a bit higher if the offense can be more consistent this season. For Week 1, he's projected to get 8.1 fantasy points, but there are better options for teams in 12-team leagues.

Chad Ryland Misses Extra Point In Loss

Arizona Cardinals kicker Chad Ryland converted his lone field goal attempt but missed an extra point during Saturday's Week 17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The second-year kicker wasn't able to build on last week's dominant showing against the Carolina Panthers. Ryland's missed kick brought him to 21-for-22 on extra points and 26-for-30 on field goals in 2024. He'll look to bounce back as a decent streamer next week, assuming Matt Prater (knee) doesn't return from injured reserve for the Cardinals' season finale.

Chad Ryland Outside Starting Range In Week 17

For at least another week, Chad Ryland will maintain the starting kicker role with the Arizona Cardinals, but managers should still look for another option with the Cards playing the Los Angeles Rams in Week 17. The second-year kicker has filled in nicely for the injured Matt Prater (knee), connecting on 25 of 29 field-goal attempts and all 21 extra points. Though Ryland's performance hasn't been the issue, Arizona is beaten up at running back with both James Conner (knee) and Trey Benson (ankle), and now that they're officially eliminated from the playoffs, this is a meaningless game for them. For managers still playing, seeking a better kicker situation is the smart move.
