Seahawks Officially Re-Sign Brady Russell
Exclusive-rights free-agent tight end Brady Russell officially signed his tender on Wednesday to return to the Seattle Seahawks for the 2025 season, according to Seahawks.com's John Boyle. Russell will return for his third year with the team after not catching any passes as a tight end in his first two years with the team. Instead, the 26-year-old has appeared exclusively on special teams and has recorded 17 tackles (11 solo) in 26 games played (zero starts) since debuting in 2023. Russell originally went undrafted out of the University of Colorado before latching on with the Seahawks. He will continue to serve as more of a special-teams asset for Seattle heading into training camp this summer. Russel is nowhere near the fantasy radar.

Saahdiq Charles Signs With Dallas
NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports that the Dallas Cowboys have signed offensive lineman Saahdiq Charles to an undisclosed contract. A few days after hosting the free agent, Dallas locks him down. The former fourth-round pick retired last summer during camp with the Tennessee Titans but has officially returned and is back in the NFC East. Charles was drafted by the Washington Commanders in 2020. The 25-year-old spent four seasons with Washington, appearing in 35 games (18 starts) at tackle. He's currently listed behind guard Tyler Smith on the team's unofficial depth chart. Charles joins as the fourth addition to the Cowboys' line this offseason as they attempt to retool their offensive front after the loss of stalwart guard Zack Martin.

No Arrest For Tyreek Hill After Domestic Incident
Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team reports that per Sunny Isles Police Department, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has not committed a crime, and the investigation of a domestic incident involving him has already been closed. The veteran was apparently engaged in some domestic dispute on Wednesday with his wife at their high-rise condominium in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. Exactly what occurred is unclear, but the police were called after Hill reportedly threw a laptop. Fortunately, the 31-year-old was able to avoid trouble, as this would be just another incident in a string of off-the-field issues for him dating back to last year. After a down 2024, Hill's price in fantasy drafts this summer should be lower than in years past. It's possible he's lost a step at his age, but a productive season is very much still in his range of outcomes.

Bengals Add Linebacker Joe Giles-Harris
The Cincinnati Bengals signed free-agent linebacker Joe Giles-Harris on Wednesday, according to the team on X. The veteran entered the NFL in 2019 as an undrafted free agent out of Duke and has spent time with five NFL organizations, appearing in 22 games for three of them. Overall, Giles-Harris has accumulated 30 tackles (16 solo), one sack, and one run stuff in his career. He played in three games for the Patriots and two games for the Jaguars a season ago. While he's unlikely to push for meaningful playing time in 2025, he could earn a spot as a special teamer or top reserve linebacker under new defensive coordinator Al Golden.

Trevor Lawrence To Be Limited During OTAs
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) will be limited during OTAs this offseason, but the former No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft said he is optimistic he will be full-go for training camp. Lawrence underwent offseason shoulder surgery to fix a left AC joint sprain. He missed seven games last season due to shoulder and head injuries, limiting him to 2,045 passing yards and 11 passing touchdowns. The Jaguars are in the middle of a soft roster rebuild under new general manager James Gladstone and head coach Liam Coen. Brian Thomas Jr. looks like the clear WR1 of the future, but the team will need to address the WR2 and TE spots after moving on from Christian Kirk and Evan Engram following the 2025 campaign. Lawrence is unlikely to have QB1 upside in fantasy football next season.

Teams Concerned About Asante Samuel Jr.'s Medicals
NFL Network's Mike Garafolo said that concerns about cornerback Asante Samuel Jr.'s (neck, shoulder) medicals have really put a damper on his free-agent market this offseason. Garafolo believes that Samuel would have already signed by now if there weren't concerns about injuries that limited him to a career-low four games played in 2024 with the Los Angeles Chargers. The 25-year-old did take a visit to the Arizona Cardinals this offseason, but he remains on the open market with the NFL draft right around the corner. The former second-round pick (47th overall) in 2021 by the Chargers out of Florida State is still young and has plenty of ability when healthy, so he should eventually land with a team once he's recovered from his injuries. In his first three years with the Bolts, Samuel had 163 tackles (137 solo), six interceptions, 35 pass breakups and a fumble recovery in 46 games (43 starts).

Trevon Diggs Might Not Be Ready For Start Of Season
Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said that cornerback Trevon Diggs (knee) might not be ready for the start of the 2025 regular season this fall. Diggs had surgery on his left knee in late January, putting his status firmly in doubt for Week 1, especially since it's the same knee the 26-year-old defensive back suffered an ACL tear in back in 2023. In addition to his knee injury, Diggs also dealt with ankle, calf and foot injuries in 2024 and was limited to 11 starts, recording 42 tackles (35 solo), two interceptions and 11 pass breakups in his fifth year in Dallas. The former second-round selection (51st overall) in 2020 out of Alabama was a first-team All-Pro in 2021 when he had a league-high 11 interceptions. Since then, though, Diggs has had six picks in 30 games and has been saddled by injuries the last two seasons.

DeMarvion Overshown Could Return In Middle Of 2025 Season
Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown (knee) has been progressing well in his recovery from a significant knee injury, and there is optimism that he could return around the middle of the 2025 season, sources tell FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz. Overshown was having a breakout campaign in 2024 before his knee injury, piling up 84 tackles, five sacks, an interception, a forced fumble, one fumble recovery, eight tackles for loss and a defensive touchdown in the first 13 games (12 starts) of his NFL career. The 24-year-old former third-rounder (90th overall) in 2023 out of Texas had surgery to fix ACL, MCL and PCL tears in his right knee on Dec. 18. The Cowboys will just be hoping that Overshown will be able to show the same type of burst he had as a pass-rusher in his rookie year when he returns from his serious knee injury. Fantasy managers in single-year IDP formats can ignore Overshown to begin the season.

Kyler Murray Says He Wants To Run More
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray said that he feels like he needs to run more in 2025 and is open to running more next season. "It's such a weapon," Murray said. The 27-year-old two-time Pro Bowler and former Offensive Rookie of the Year ran the ball 78 times for 572 yards (7.3 yards per carry) and five touchdowns in 17 starts in 2024. His 572 rushing yards ranked fourth in the league behind Lamar Jackson, Jayden Daniels and Jalen Hurts, with his five TDs tying him for sixth-most in the NFL. As a passer, Murray completed 68.8% of his 541 pass attempts for 3,851 yards, 21 touchdowns and 11 touchdowns. Overall, he finished as the QB10 in fantasy scoring, and his elite rushing ability should continue to give him a high floor as a low-end QB1. If he makes good on his promise to run more in 2025, he could end up being even more of a value pick at the position in fantasy drafts this fall.

Winston Reid Signs Exclusive-Rights Tender
Cleveland Browns exclusive-rights free-agent linebacker Winston Reid signed his tender on Tuesday to officially return to the team for the 2025 season. Reid will return for his second NFL season in Cleveland after recording 23 tackles (15 solo), half a sack, two pass breakups and one fumble recovery in 16 games (three starts) in his rookie year after going undrafted out of Weber State. The 25-year-old linebacker will return to the Browns and will enter training camp this summer in a reserve role at middle linebacker behind Jordan Hicks. He will be hoping to perform well enough in camp and the preseason to earn a 53-man roster spot going into Week 1 this fall.

James Cook To Play For Bills In 2025
Despite a contract impasse with the Buffalo Bills and the fact that he put his house up for sale in Buffalo, running back James Cook "will play for the Bills next season," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Things are "not great" between Cook and the Bills. The 25-year-old has a $5.3 million salary for the 2025 season, which is the last year of his rookie deal, and he's made it known he's looking for at least $15 million per year. Buffalo would like to sign him to a long-term extension, but at the moment the two sides aren't remotely close in negotiations. The former second-rounder (63rd overall) in 2022 out of Georgia has back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons and led the NFL with 16 rushing touchdowns in 16 regular-season games in 2024. Cook will be Buffalo's RB1 again in 2025, but fantasy managers must plan for TD regression, and the Bills could be looking to split the workload more with Ty Johnson and Ray Davis.

Sam Franklin Heading To Denver
The Denver Broncos have agreed with free-agent safety Sam Franklin on a one-year, $1.5 million contract. The Temple alum joined the Carolina Panthers in 2020 as an undrafted free agent and spent all five seasons of his career with the team. Franklin appeared in 74 games for Carolina (nine starts), logging 105 tackles (71 solo) and three for loss. He recorded one sack and five pass breakups, and his lone interception was a 99-yard touchdown. Though the 29-year-old appeared in 10 games last season, he did not record a single statistic on defense, spending most of his playing time on special teams. It's likely that Franklin will serve as depth in Denver's defensive backfield.

Justin Simmons Hopes To Sign Before Training Camp, Willing To Wait For Right Fit
Four-time All-Pro safety Justin Simmons remains unsigned following the first month of NFL free agency, and the 31-year-old is in no rush to join a new team as he waits to find the right fit. Simmons signed with the Atlanta Falcons last August after spending eight seasons with the Denver Broncos, so a similar timeline could play out in 2025. Simmons has collected 665 tackles (478 solo), 4.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, 32 interceptions, and 71 pass deflections since being selected in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Boston College. Simmons mentioned the Philadelphia Eagles as a potential landing spot thanks to his previous relationship with former Broncos head coach and current Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. Simmons hopes to sign before training camp, but he'll continue to wait for the right opportunity to continue his playing career into his 10th NFL season.

Geno Smith Relishing Second Stint With Pete Carroll
The Las Vegas Raiders traded for Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith last month before signing him to a two-year, $75 million contract this week. The move reunited Smith back with former Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, a reconnection the two are excited about. "I think there is unfinished business, and I think when people think about my story, you know, coach Carroll was a big part of that," Smith said. "He gave me an opportunity when not many people would have. He saw the hard work that I was putting in, he saw the things behind the scenes that I do that allow me to get this opportunity." Smith enjoyed the best season of his career under Carroll in 2022, passing for 4,282 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. While Smith will be on the fantasy football radar in superflex and two-QB leagues, he'll likely be a fringe starter in single-QB setups in a rebuilding Raiders offense. However, tight end Brock Bowers and wide receiver Jakobi Meyers give him formidable weapons to put together a solid passing attack.

George Fant Meeting With Ravens
Free-agent offensive tackle George Fant (knee) said that he will meet with Baltimore Ravens officials on Tuesday about a potential free-agent deal, according to The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec. The Ravens are in need of a swing tackle, and Fant has made 75 career starts and has experience at both left and right tackle. However, the 32-year-old veteran was limited to just two games in 2024 with the Seattle Seahawks due to knee injuries. If he lands in Baltimore, he'll serve as offensive-tackle depth. Fant originally went undrafted out of Western Kentucky before making his NFL debut back in 2016 with Seattle. After three seasons with the Seahawks, he played three years with the New York Jets before joining the Houston Texans in 2023. Fant has started 75 of the 101 games that he's appeared in over his eight NFL campaigns.

The Minnesota Vikings announced on Monday that they released cornerback Nahshon Wright. The 26-year-old defensive back finds himself on the open market this offseason after the Vikings acquired him in a trade with the Dallas Cowboys last August in exchange for Andrew Booth. Wright was a non-factor in his lone season in Minnesota, recording zero tackles in just one game after posting 37 tackles (27 solo), an interception and five pass breakups in 32 games (three starts) in his first three years in the NFL with the Cowboys. He only played 15 snaps for the Vikings, all of which came on special teams. Wright will mostly likely continue in a special-teams role for whatever organization takes a chance on him next. Dallas selected him in the third round (99th overall) in the 2021 NFL draft out of Oregon State.

Steelers Sign Calvin Anderson To Two-Year Deal
The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Monday that they signed free-agent offensive lineman Calvin Anderson to an undisclosed two-year contract. Anderson will return to the Steel City for another two years and will likely continue to be a backup offensive tackle after he appeared in just four games (zero starts) in his first year with the team in 2024. The 29-year-old originally went undrafted out of the University of Texas before starting his NFL career in 2020 with the Denver Broncos. He spent his first three years in the league in Denver before spending the 2023 campaign with the New England Patriots. Anderson played in 41 games (12 starts) in his time with the Broncos but has since seen action in just nine games (two starts) the last two years in New England and Pittsburgh.

Bears Re-Sign Chris Williams
The Chicago Bears announced on Monday that they re-signed restricted free-agent defensive tackle Chris Williams and exclusive-rights free-agent defensive tackle Jonathan Ford, defensive end Daniel Hardy, offensive guard Bill Murray and cornerback Ameer Speed. In his first full season in the NFL with the Bears in 2024, Williams totaled 23 tackles (17 solo), three sacks and seven QB hits in 17 games (one start). The 26-year-old interior lineman will return for a second season in Chicago to provide rotational depth for the Bears defense. Williams went undrafted out of Wagner before joining the Indianapolis Colts for his rookie year in 2021. The 6-foot-3, 302-pounder had just six tackles (three solo) in 13 games (zero starts) in his first two years with the Colts.

Raiders Bring Back Charles Snowden, Other Exclusive-Rights Free Agents
The Las Vegas Raiders officially re-signed exclusive-rights free-agent defensive end Charles Snowden, defensive tackle Matthew Butler, linebacker Kana'i Mauga, offensive guard Jordan Meredith and cornerback Sam Webb on Monday. Snowden will return for a second season with the Raiders after recording 39 tackles (18 solo), 1.5 sacks, seven QB hits and four pass breakups in 16 games (nine starts). The 27-year-old went undrafted out of the University of Virginia before latching on with the Chicago Bears for his rookie season in 2021. He appeared in only two games that year and didn't record a single tackle in the Windy City. Snowden will merely be hoping to stand out again in a rotational role at defensive end in 2025 behind Maxx Crosby and Malcolm Koonce.

Falcons Re-Sign Dee Alford
The Atlanta Falcons announced on Monday that they re-signed restricted free-agent cornerback Dee Alford to an undisclosed one-year deal. Alford will return to the team in 2025 for his fourth season with the team after collecting 149 tackles (104 solo), 1.5 sacks, an interception, 24 pass breakups, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries in 48 games (16 starts) the last three years with Atlanta. The 27-year-old was an undrafted free agent out of Tusculum. He had a career-high 83 tackles (61 solo), 11 pass breakups and a forced fumble in 16 games played (11 starts) last year. The Falcons originally did not tender an offer to Alford, but after he tested the free-agent market this offseason, he will return to the team to provide depth in the secondary. Alford will continue to work out of the slot for the Falcons.
