Jaquan Brisker May Miss Rest Of 2024

According to general manager Ryan Poles, Chicago Bears defensive back Jaquan Brisker (concussion) could miss the remainder of the 2024 season. ESPN's Courtney Cronin reported the news. The 25-year-old had been on the shelf since suffering a concussion in the team's Week 5 victory over the Carolina Panthers and missed the ensuing four contests before being placed on injured reserve this past Saturday. It's unfortunate news for the Penn State product -- and Chicago -- as he was reportedly not "making the progress we wanted," per Poles. "We're going to slow this down and take time and allow him to take his time to come back. Would love to see him back this year, but we're just going to take it one week at a time." It's not an encouraging statement from the Bears' GM regarding the former second-round pick, but the player's health and safety are paramount.

Jaquan Brisker Ruled Out Again

Chicago Bears safety Jaquan Brisker (concussion) has again been ruled inactive for Sunday's home matchup against the New England Patriots. Brisker hasn't appeared in a game since the team's Week 5 36-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers, missing the ensuing three outings. More so, -- and even more concerning -- the 25-year-old has yet to even sniff a practice since sustaining the injury, logging a DNP in each opportunity he's gotten. It's an unsettling development for the Penn State alum, as hopefully, he'll be able to at least get in a limited session ahead of Week 11. Safety Elijah Hicks will again get the start, filling in for the injured Brisker.

Jaquan Brisker Ruled Out For Week 6

Chicago Bears safety Jaquan Brisker (concussion) has officially been ruled out for the team's Week 6 contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. Brisker has been one of the leaders of a very good defensive unit that has kept the Bears in striking distance every game. They enter this week as a top-four unit in terms of fantasy points scored so far this season. Elijah Hicks and Jonathan Owens are the next two safeties on the depth chart and Hicks will likely be the one to take over for Brisker in this game. The Jaguars finally bounced back with a win in Week 5, but Trevor Lawrence has proven to slip up more often than not, so this defense has serious potential.

Jaquan Brisker Out In Week 9

The Chicago Bears defense will be short-handed in a Week 9 matchup against the New Orleans Saints on the road on Sunday. Defensive backs Jaquan Brisker (concussion) and Terell Smith (illness) and linebacker Tremaine Edmunds (knee) have been ruled out. Brisker suffered a concussion in Week 7 and will now miss his second straight game. It remains to be seen if the 24-year-old safety will be ready to play in Week 10 on a short turnaround next Thursday night against the Carolina Panthers. Fantasy managers that had been rolling with Brisker in their starting lineups at defensive back prior to his injury in Week 7 must go in another direction for the second straight week. Duron Harmon will make another start in Chicago's secondary on Sunday.

Jaquan Brisker Questionable To Face Raiders

Chicago Bears defensive back Jaquan Brisker (groin) popped up on the Week 7 injury report on Friday with a limited practice and was listed as questionable to play on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. Defensive backs Eddie Jackson (foot) and Terell Smith (illness) were ruled out, so the Bears secondary could be pretty thin this weekend while facing Raiders veteran backup Brian Hoyer. Mid-week injuries are usually never good, so even though Brisker was limited on Friday, he should probably be considered on the wrong side of questionable for Week 7. If the 24-year-old safety is ultimately ruled out, expect to see Quindell Johnson start in his place against Vegas.

Jaquan Brisker Questionable To Return With Illness

The Chicago Bears are saying that safety Jaquan Brisker (illness) is questionable to return to the Week 2 game on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to an illness. It's a notable development for the Bears' secondary and for fantasy managers that have Brisker in their starting spot at defensive back in IDP formats. The 24-year-old also lost Eddie Jackson (foot) in this same game, so their secondary is going to be more vulnerable if neither Brisker nor Jackson are able to return. Quindell Johnson is likely to enter the starting lineup to Brisker. Check back for more updates on Brisker, but he should be able to get better by Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs on the road.

Jaquan Brisker Remains Inactive For Week 13

Chicago Bears defensive back Jaquan Brisker (concussion) is officially inactive for Week 13 against the Green Bay Packers. The rookie accrued 73 tackles, three sacks, one fumble recovery, and one interception over his first 11 games but will now be inactive for the second consecutive week. Elijah Hicks and Adrian Colbert should see more snaps in his absence.
