Michael Trigg Fantasy Stats

Dallas Cowboys tight end Michael Trigg joined the team as an undrafted free agent back in April. He was decent in the preseason, hauling in four of his eight targets for 30 yards. The 24-year-old was eventually cut, but the Cowboys brought Trigg back and signed him to their practice squad as depth. The Cowboys don't have a ton of viable options at tight end outside of starter Jake Ferguson. There is a chance that Trigg earns himself a role on this team at some point down the road. Right now, Trigg remains on the practice squad and is irrelevant in fantasy leagues. He could be someone worth holding in dynasty formats for managers willing to wait a season or two to see if he develops his game.

Dallas Cowboys tight end Michael Trigg caught four of his five targets for 30 yards during Saturday's preseason win over the Seattle Seahawks. At 24 years old, Trigg is on the older side for a prospect, which might be why he went undrafted despite having 694 yards and six touchdowns at Baylor last season. Nevertheless, he's already turning heads in the NFL after a productive, high-volume showing in the Cowboys' preseason opener. There's no question that Jake Ferguson has the No. 1 tight end job all locked up in Dallas, but we wouldn't be shocked to see Trigg push for the No. 2 role ahead of Luke Schoonmaker, despite his undrafted status. If Trigg continues to play well, he could be in the mix for a fantasy-relevant workload in the event of an injury to Ferguson.

Dallas Cowboys tight end Michael Trigg has the receiving profile to draw dynasty interest, but he is still fighting just to make the roster. His final Baylor season was easily his best: 50 catches for 694 yards and six touchdowns in 11 games. At the combine, he measured 6-foot-3 3/4, 240 pounds, with 10 1/2-inch hands and an 84 3/8-inch wingspan, the longest among tight ends in the class. That length shows up on contested catches. The rest is less settled. Jake Ferguson is locked in at TE1, while Luke Schoonmaker and Brevyn Spann-Ford are already battling for the next job. Dallas has also made it clear that special teams and blocking will help decide whether Trigg survives final cuts. A practice-squad outcome remains very possible. RotoBaller ranks him TE43 in dynasty, which fits the uncertainty. He belongs on taxi squads only in deeper formats, not active redraft rosters. The upside is worth tracking, but camp has to come first.

In a year that saw 22 tight ends selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, Baylor's Michael Trigg was not one of the players to hear his name called, and he ultimately signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent. Finishing second in the nation with 694 receiving yards from the tight end position and landing in the top five with his six touchdown grabs, talent has never been a concern for Trigg, but off-field issues are what led him to go undrafted. While the Cowboys organization has a checkered history of character concerns, that reputation has improved immensely in recent years, and if Trigg can keep things focused on football, he could earn his way onto the roster. Dallas is already deep at the position with Jake Ferguson and dedicated blockers Luke Schoonmaker and Brevyn Spann-Ford, but in a league trending toward heavier 12 and 13-personnel usage, it should come as no surprise if more teams start keeping four tight ends on the roster. Trigg offers a receiving element that neither Schoonmaker nor Spann-Ford would be able to provide should Ferguson miss extended time, and while he'll first need to make the team, RotoBaller's dynasty TE42 could ultimately prove to be a taxi squad stash with long-term fantasy upside.

Despite posting impressive testing metrics at the Scouting Combine, Dallas Cowboys tight end Michael Trigg did not hear his name called at the 2026 NFL Draft. The 23-year-old was productive in his final collegiate season at Baylor, recording 50 catches for 694 yards and six touchdowns across 11 games. However, he faces an uphill battle for a roster spot in Dallas. Cowboys tight ends Jake Ferguson, Luke Schoonmaker, and Brevyn Spann-Ford are all likely assured of roster spots, leaving Trigg fighting for the TE4 role with Princeton Fant and DJ Rogers. If Trigg can catch on in Dallas, his athleticism provides him with some long-term upside for dynasty managers. Still, the Cowboys' crowded tight end depth chart may make it difficult for Trigg to earn fantasy-relevant playing time at any point in the foreseeable future. RotoBaller currently ranks Trigg as the 42nd-best tight end in dynasty formats.

Dallas Cowboys tight end Michael Trigg faces an uphill battle to make the 53-man roster ahead of Week 1. The Cowboys signed Trigg, a Baylor product, as an undrafted free agent last month. While his Scouting Combine measurables were impressive, we're not optimistic that the Cowboys have space for him on their roster. Dallas has one of the most established tight end rooms in the NFL, led by Jake Ferguson, with Luke Schoonmaker and Brevyn Spann-Ford solidified in depth roles. If Dallas explores the possibility of carrying a fourth tight end to play on special teams, Trigg will be in the mix, but even then, he'd have to compete with Princeton Fant and fellow undrafted free agent DJ Rogers. In his final season at school, Trigg caught 50 passes for 694 yards and six touchdowns. He ranks outside RotoBaller's top 70 rookies for dynasty fantasy football.

After recording 50 receptions for 694 yards and six touchdowns across 11 games as a fifth-year senior at Baylor in 2025, tight end Michael Trigg did not hear his name called in the 2026 NFL Draft. Trigg signed as an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys, so he'll have a chance to earn an NFL roster spot this spring/summer. However, Dallas has one of the deeper tight end rooms in the league, with Jake Ferguson, Luke Schoonmaker, and Brevyn Spann-Ford all likely assured of roster spots. Trigg's 84 3/8 wingspan set the all-time record for tight ends at the 2026 Draft Combine, so his measurables offer some intriguing upside. Still, Trigg faces an uphill battle for a roster spot in Dallas and only carries dynasty appeal in the very deepest of league formats.

Baylor tight end Michael Trigg was one of 27 tight end prospects invited to this year's NFL Combine, and while he didn't take part in any on-field testing due to a hamstring injury, he did raise eyebrows with his measurables. At just under 6'4" tall, his 84 and 3/8" wingspan set a new high mark at the position, topping the previous record, held by the nearly 6'7" Darnell Washington, by almost a full inch. That length shows up on tape in his ability to work over and through defenders, and in a tight end class that breaks wide open once you get past Kenyon Sadiq and Eli Stowers, Trigg's is a profile that could translate to early fantasy success. Character concerns could lead to him slipping in the NFL Draft, but in the later rounds of dynasty rookie drafts, Trigg is an intriguing, toolsy player on whom to stake a claim.
