Von Miller News

Von Miller Still Made An Impact In 2019

Denver Broncos outside linebacker/edge rusher Von Miller had his first single-digit sack season since 2013 and only had 46 tackles last year, but while he wasn't as dominant, he still made an impact in his 791 defensive snaps with a disruption rate of 14.4 percent. His 52 quarterback pressures were 29 more than his next closest teammate in Derek Wolfe. The eight-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro is still the man in Denver, and the 31-year-old can still be one of the most effective pass disruptors in the game. Miller's 235 QB pressures since 2016 lead all edge defenders and are second only to Aaron Donald. His QB pressure rate of 14 percent during that span ranks first across the NFL. Having Bradley Chubb healthy across from Miller could make a world of difference in 2020 and get Miller back into double-digit sacks.

Von Miller Cleared Of Coronavirus

Denver Broncos defensive end Von Miller said that he's "negative" for COVID-19 two weeks after he admitted publicly that he had tested positive for the virus. It's great news for Miller and the Broncos, although it was never reported that Miller was in serious condition while battling the coronavirus. The 31-year-old former Super Bowl MVP had a down year in 2019 with just eight sacks in 15 games, but he's an eight-time Pro Bowler already and could easily bounce back to double-digit sacks in his second year in head coach Vic Fangio's defense in 2020 with Bradley Chubb back to full health to help him out. Miller should be just fine if training camps happen this summer.

Von Miller Recovering From COVID-19

Denver Broncos pass-rusher Von Miller has a confirmed case of COVID-19, according to his agent. The Super Bowl 50 MVP is resting at his home and is in good spirits. Miller will speak publicly on Friday. It's unclear what or if any symptoms Miller is experiencing, but we'd expect him to touch on all that when he speaks to the media. The former second overall pick of the 2011 draft had a down year in 2019 with just eight sacks and also missed a game due to injury, but he's been a Pro Bowler each of the last six seasons and in eight of his nine seasons in the league. With another year in head coach Vic Fangio's defense and with a healthy Bradley Chubb across from him, Miller could easily bounce back in the sack department in 2020.
