Noah Fant Active In Week 16

Denver Broncos rookie tight end Noah Fant (illness, shoulder) is officially active for Week 16 against the Lions. Fant was never really in danger of missing this game after playing through the injury last week. The matchup is a really good one and rookie quarterback Drew Lock gives Fant more upside as a TE2, but Fant has also had two very mediocre outings in Lock's three starts this season. There's also the risk of an in-game setback. Fant isn't the worst TE2 streamer, but he's certainly volatile in this meaningless game.

Questionable Tag For Noah Fant

Denver Broncos rookie tight end Noah Fant (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Week 16 against the Lions. Fant got in limited practices this week and should be fine to play after playing through the shoulder ailment in the Week 15 game against the Chiefs. Rookie quarterback Drew Lock's presence under center elevates Fant's upside, but he remains a boom-or-bust TE2 to close out his rookie season. He blew up for four catches, 113 yards and a touchdown in Week 14 against the Texans but has only three receptions for 61 yards in the other two games that Lock has started. Start him at your own risk in deeper leagues.

Noah Fant Gets In Limited Practice

Denver Broncos rookie tight end Noah Fant (shoulder) practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday. Fant injured his shoulder in the Week 15 loss to the Chiefs but was able to finish out the game. He should be fine to play in Week 16 against the Lions if he avoids any late-week setbacks. The rookie has had his ups and downs for Denver, but he will have TE1 upside in the final two games in great matchups with Detroit and Oakland. Having rookie quarterback Drew Lock under center the rest of the way only helps Fant's boom chances for owners willing to take a risk. Fant caught two of his three targets for 56 yards last Sunday.
