Noah Fant News

Noah Fant Lackluster In Week 1

Denver Broncos tight end Noah Fant had a lackluster performance in his NFL debut versus the Oakland Raiders. Fant came in with low expectations from most fantasy owners and matched those expectations with two receptions for 29 yards. Some silver linings are that the rookie from Iowa did see five targets on the evening and was the clear leader from the tight end group. Fant will look to rebound versus the Chicago Bears in Week 2 but should be on most benches or waiver wires at this time.

Noah Fant Back At Practice

Denver Broncos rookie tight end Noah Fant (ankle) is back at practice on Monday after suffering an ankle injury last Monday in the preseason game against the 49ers. Fant should be fine for Week 1 and will enter his rookie season with a good chance of becoming the team's primary pass-catching tight end by the end of the year. Quarterback Joe Flacco often leans on his tight ends, but fantasy owners need to temper expectations for the rookie, as he'll also be splitting repetitions with Jeff Heuerman and Jake Butt (if healthy). Fant is merely a low-end QB2 option with upside. He's a much better dynasty asset.

Noah Fant Expected To Be Ready For Week 1

Denver Broncos head coach Vic Fangio said that rookie tight end Noah Fant (ankle) will be ready for Week 1 after he suffered a minor ankle injury in the preseason game against the 49ers on Monday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. That's great news for the Broncos, as they drafted Fant in the first round hoping that he could make an immediate impact in his rookie season alongside Jeff Heuerman and Jake Butt (if healthy). Fant easily has the most pass-catching upside of the group, but temper your expectations in Year 1 despite the fact that quarterback Joe Flacco often leans on his tight ends. Fant is a low-end TE2, at best. He's much more attractive in dynasty formats.
