Parker Washington Day-to-Day with Undisclosed Injury

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington (undisclosed) is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury but is expected to return next week, according to ESPN's Michael DiRocco. Washington came into his fourth training camp as part of a crowded receiver room, but by most accounts has emerged as quarterback Trevor Lawrence's favorite target and is in line to see the team's highest target share. While the injury does not appear to be overly serious, Washington's status bears monitoring, as any prolonged absence could create opportunities and a potential reshuffling of one of the league's deepest receiver rooms. Washington has shot up to WR31 by current ADP, though the injury could slow his rise and ultimately create a buying window if his draft cost should sink.

Parker Washington has Established Himself as Jaguars' WR1

ESPN's Michael DiRocco writes that Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington has been quarterback Trevor Lawrence's favorite target during training camp, and "he always seems to be open." DiRocco also writes that Washington "has established himself as the Jaguars' WR1." Washington has "thrived" in one-on-one situations against the team's top corners, and he beat cornerback Travis Hunter at the line of scrimmage and caught a deep pass down the sideline for a touchdown the last time the team matched the first-team offense against the first-team defense. The 24-year-old former sixth-rounder from Penn State came on strong in the latter half of the 2025 season with three 100-yard games in the final four contests (including the playoffs). Washington appears to be the real deal and has been one of the most hyped receivers this summer, even in a crowded WR room in Duvall that includes Brian Thomas Jr. and Jakobi Meyers. With good health in 2026, Washington seems primed for his first 1,000-yard season in the NFL and should be targeted as a WR2 on the rise in upcoming fantasy drafts.

Parker Washington Responsible for Biggest Play of the Day Again

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington, who had a breakout season with the Jags in 2025, has been by far the most hyped receiver in the NFL in training camp this summer. Sports Illustrated's John Shipley writes that Washington had the biggest play of the day yet again during practice on Sunday, which came on a frozen rope down the field from quarterback Trevor Lawrence. The 24-year-old ran by safety Rayuan Lane for the biggest gain of the day. Washington has been "the most consistent playmaker all camp," and yet he's ranked as only the No. 30 fantasy WR at RotoBaller going into the 2026 season. The former sixth-rounder in 2023 from Penn State has plenty of competition for targets with Brian Thomas Jr., who has also looked good in camp, and Jakobi Meyers, but Washington's chemistry with Lawrence has ratcheted up to a new level this summer. After catching 58 of his 95 targets for 847 yards and five touchdowns in 16 regular-season games in 2025, Washington looks primed to improve on those numbers and have the first 1,000-yard season of his career.

Parker Washington Hype Hits New High

There may not be a player who has garnered more hype this offseason than Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington. During Friday's scrimmage, Washington caught six passes from quarterback Trevor Lawrence, including two third-down grabs and a touchdown. He was Lawrence's favorite target on Friday and throughout camp. The former sixth-round pick had 847 yards and five touchdowns last season, but he emerged down the stretch, averaging 6.5 receptions for 113.5 yards and scoring three touchdowns in his final four games. He should play the slot role in Liam Coen's offense, a position that has been a strength in Coen's scheme. Players like Cooper Kupp and Chris Godwin Jr. have had monster seasons under Coen, and Washington will hope to do the same in 2026.

Parker Washington is "Feared Across the League"

Jacksonville Jaguars special teams coordinator Heath Farwell said on Thursday that wide receiver Parker Washington is "feared across the league" and is an elite return man, according to John Shipley of Sports Illustrated. The 24-year-old former sixth-rounder from Penn State in 2023 isn't just feared on special teams as a returner, though, after breaking out with a 58-847-5 line on 95 targets in 16 regular-season games in 2025 in his third year in the NFL. Washington has been one of the most hyped receivers in the league this offseason, and it looks like his breakout last year was no fluke. Even in a crowded WR room in Duvall that includes Jakobi Meyers, Brian Thomas Jr., and former Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, most pundits wouldn't be shocked if it was Washington who leads the team in receiving in 2026. He is ranked as the No. 32 fantasy WR at RotoBaller, but don't be surprised if you have to pay WR2 prices to land him in drafts this fall. Washington will have plenty of competition for targets, but it's hard to ignore the chemistry he's displayed with quarterback Trevor Lawrence, which dates back to midseason last year.

Parker Washington the Top Target in Practice

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington has been one of the early standouts at training camp. Sports Illustrated's John Shipley reports that Washington has routinely been Trevor Lawrence's top target in practice, creating separation and catching nearly everything sent his way. He closed Sunday's session with a sliding touchdown grab from Lawrence. Washington is coming off the best season of his career, when he led Jacksonville with 58 receptions and 847 receiving yards while scoring five touchdowns in 16 games. He added seven catches for 107 yards and another score in the Jaguars' playoff loss to Buffalo. There will be plenty of competition for targets with Brian Thomas Jr., Jakobi Meyers, and Travis Hunter also in the receiver room, but Washington's connection with Lawrence has carried over from last season. His strong start to camp gives him a chance to remain a meaningful part of Jacksonville's passing game. Washington is worth closely monitoring as he appears well-positioned to emerge as the lead option in this offense.

Parker Washington to Play in 11, 12, and 13 Personnel in 2026?

Speaking to 1010XL, Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington said he's going to play in three-WR sets, 12 personnel, and 13 personnel in the 2026 season. When asked whether he is worried 2-TE sets will take away from the wide receivers' workload, he stated, "For me, 12 personnel is good, even 13 [personnel]." He also said, "Liam [Coen] told me to be ready to play all positions and to stay ready." Washington has been heavily praised during the first week of training camp, with head coach Liam Coen saying, "Like we can't coach them always to be special when the ball's in their hands. And that's something Parker has." In the last four games last season, Washington hauled in 26 of 41 targets for 454 yards and three touchdowns, including a monster performance in the Wild Card Round against the Buffalo Bills. Ranked WR32 in RotoBaller's rankings, Washington is a breakout candidate to watch in 2026.

Parker Washington "Due for a Big Season"

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington was a fantasy star over the second half of the 2025 season, and reports out of training camp hint at more big things to come in 2026. While the fourth-year receiver made several plays during the opening practice of training camp, it was the work he did on Thursday that caught the eye of Sports Illustrated's John Shipley, who pointed to the success Washington had at all three levels of the field against some of the team's top cover players before noting that he "just seems to continue to make standout plays that make you think he is due for a big season." Washington became a featured piece of the Jaguars offense after their Week 8 bye, playing as the fantasy WR11 over that stretch, and the buzz throughout the spring and summer would suggest continued usage in that manner and potentially the highest ceiling in a loaded Jaguars receiver room. Playing on the final year of his rookie deal, Shipley believes that Washington's performance in the early days of camp could soon earn him an extension, making him a player to target in dynasty leagues despite his rising price tag.

Parker Washington Impresses in Thursday's Practice

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington was the team's most impressive player in training camp practice on Thursday, per John Shipley of Sports Illustrated. Washington had multiple big catches and was a tough cover for anyone in the secondary who was put up against him. Shipley wrote that Brian Thomas Jr. also had a couple of chunk gains on passes, but it was Washington "who stood out and stole the show." Even in a crowded WR corps that includes Thomas, Jakobi Meyers, and Travis Hunter, the 24-year-old Washington appears ready to be an even bigger part of the Jaguars' passing attack in 2026 after he broke out with 58 catches, 847 yards, and five touchdowns (all career highs) in 16 regular-season games a year ago. He's not big at 5-foot-10, 204 pounds or extremely fast, but Washington is an excellent route-runner and averaged a career-best 14.6 yards per reception in 2025. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence could spread the wealth with all his options, which will limit Washington's fantasy upside, but at this point, he's been hard to ignore and has clear WR2 upside going into his fourth NFL season. RotoBaller has Washington ranked as the No. 32 WR.

Parker Washington Ready to Go Entering Contract Year

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington is focused on the 2026 season as he enters the final year of his rookie contract. Head coach Liam Coen said he texted Washington last week about preparing for camp and received the response, "I'm ready to kill, I'm ready to go," according to Action Sports Jax. Coen added that Washington is typically among the first players in the building and has continued building chemistry with quarterback Trevor Lawrence, expressing confidence that the team will get his best whether an extension is completed before or during camp, or not at all. Washington broke out in 2025, leading Jacksonville with 58 receptions for 847 yards and five touchdowns in 16 games before adding seven catches for 107 yards and a score in the playoffs. Brian Thomas Jr. and Jakobi Meyers remain prominent target competition, while Travis Hunter's offensive workload is still being determined. The contract situation does not appear to be affecting Washington's preparation, but his place in Jacksonville's crowded receiver rotation remains the key fantasy variable.
