Josh Cameron Too Far Down the Jaguars Depth Chart to Offer Value?

The Jacksonville Jaguars clearly viewed wide receiver Josh Cameron as one of the top remaining players on their board when they traded up to select him in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, but in a receiver room already difficult enough to sort at the top, there is no realistic potential of fantasy relevance so close to the bottom. With Brian Thomas Jr., Parker Washington, Jakobi Meyers, and Travis Hunter all expected to hold their own roles in Jacksonville's offense, Cameron's clearest path to a roster spot is likely to come through special teams. Over the past three seasons at Baylor, Cameron returned 45 punts at a highly respectable 14.0-yard average, but, built more like a running back than a traditional X-receiver, his brightest future in the league could come as a kickoff returner. With some fantasy leagues adapting to the NFL's dynamic kickoff changes and rewarding return points, Cameron is not entirely unworthy of a roster spot, but in most formats, he is best left on waivers.

Josh Cameron has Long-Term YAC Upside in Liam Coen's Offense

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie sixth-round wide receiver Josh Cameron will be fighting an uphill battle for playing time in his first year in the NFL, but the 23-year-old could be a nice dynasty sleeper in rookie-only drafts later this year for his long-term upside in head coach Liam Coen's offense. Cameron put up some big numbers in his final two seasons at Baylor in 2024 and 2025, combining for 121 receptions, 1,626 yards, and 19 touchdowns. The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder has nice size, blocking skills, and yards-after-the-catch ability in a plus environment in Duval. Early on in the NFL, Cameron figures to primarily be an asset for the Jags on special teams while being buried on the WR depth chart behind Jakoi Meyers, Parker Washington, Brian Thomas Jr., and Travis Hunter. He'll also have to battle fellow rookie wideout CJ Williams. Fantasy managers in single-year fantasy leagues will want to ignore Cameron, but in rookie-only drafts, he's not a bad late-round target for long-term upside. RotoBaller currently has Cameron ranked as the No. 96 dynasty pass-catcher.

Jaguars Draft Baylor Receiver Josh Cameron in the Sixth Round

The Jacksonville Jaguars have selected Baylor wide receiver prospect Josh Cameron with the 191st overall pick in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Cameron joins a crowded Jaguars wide receiver room that already features Jakobi Meyers, Brian Thomas Jr., Travis Hunter, and Parker Washington. He spent five years at Baylor, ascending into a high-impact role over his final two seasons. Between the 2024 and 2025 campaigns, he caught 121 passes for 1,626 yards and 19 touchdowns. There's talent here, but given how deep the Jags' receiver room is, we don't see much of a path to fantasy relevance for Cameron. He can be avoided in most fantasy drafts.
