Romeo Doubs News
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs will face off against the division-rival Detroit Lions on Thursday night. After leading the team in targets by a wide margin last week and catching the game-winning touchdown to bring his total to three on the season, the second-year receiver will potentially have to contend with former first-round pick Christian Watson (hamstring). The Packers top receiver has not made his 2023 debut due to the injury, but all signs point to him playing in Week 4. While Doubs will no longer see the top coverage from the Detroit defense, the added target competition makes him a riskier flex option. The Lions allow just the 12th-fewest fantasy points per game to the position, and on a short week, the game could be a low-scoring affair. Consider the 23-year-old a volatile flex option with Watson active and a much more reliable one if he sits for the fourth week in a row.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs caught five of 12 targets for 73 yards and a touchdown during the team's 18-17 victory over the New Orleans Saints. The Packers offense was inept through the first half but was able to pick things up and score three times in the fourth quarter to win the game. The second-year receiver led the team in targets by a wide margin and caught an eight-yard touchdown to give Green Bay the lead late in the game. Christian Watson (hamstring) will be back sooner rather than later, but Doubs will continue to have flex value, especially with an easy upcoming schedule. The Packers No. 2 receiver should be considered a flex option against Detroit in Week 4.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs will take on the New Orleans Saints in Week 3. The 23-year-old caught just two passes for 30 yards last week while playing through a hamstring injury. Rookie Jayden Reed took over as the top target and caught two touchdown passes against Atlanta. After an explosive output by Reed, the potential return of Christian Watson (hamstring), and a stiff matchup against New Orleans, Doubs is an easy fade for Week 3. New Orleans has given up the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position this season and has yet to allow one to score. With more competition for targets potentially coming his way and Reed looking to take over as the No. 2 target, the second-year receiver can safely be left on the bench this week.

Green Bay Packers second-year wide receiver Romeo Doubs (hamstring) should see an expanded role in 2023, with the receiver room losing Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb to New York. While Green Bay did draft former Michigan State receiver Jayden Reed in the second round, he should line up in the slot while Doubs lines up outside. Doubs got off to a hot start in his rookie season before missing time with an ankle injury. He never fully recovered his role, grabbing just 11 catches for 111 yards over...
