Romeo Doubs News
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs failed to haul in either of his two targets during the team's 20-16 loss to the Detroit Lions. The rookie closes the book on an interesting rookie season that had its high points. With fellow rookie Christian Watson entering the season with a ton of question marks due to missing the majority of training camp, Doubs received a fair amount of buzz and was given an impressive target share over the first six weeks of the season. The 22-year-old then missed an extended period starting in Week 10 due to an ankle injury he suffered the week prior. He closed the season with a reduced snap share, giving up playing time to veteran Randall Cobb. Cobb may be out of Green Bay next season, opening the door for Doubs to start in the slot, but quarterback Aaron Rodgers' future with the team is also in limbo. The rookie will likely be left off of draft boards come August, but there is a chance he will be viewed as an end-of-the-draft dart throw.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs caught 3-of-4 targets and gained 20 yards during the team's 41-17 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. The rookie's fantasy value for this week took a hit when the Packers announced that Christian Watson (hip) would be active for this game, but it was not just his presence that held the 22-year-old in check. The Green Bay defense took the game over, leading to a heavy run script by the Packers' offense. No Green Bay receiver had a good fantasy outing. With Watson coming out of the game unscathed, Doubs' fantasy value for next week's game is all but gone. He is a viable option as a low-end FLEX in 14-16 team leagues, but he is better left on the bench in favor of a better option for those playing their fantasy football title games in Week 18.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs will take on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17. The rookie has amassed a modest 11 targets over the past two weeks since returning from an ankle injury that he suffered back in Week 9, slotting in as the No. 3 option in the passing game behind Christian Watson and Allen Lazard. However, Doubs may not have to compete with Watson this week. The fellow rookie is listed as questionable with a hip injury and could realistically miss the game Sunday. Doubs has been a viable FLEX option when either Watson or Lazard have missed time this season, and the matchup against Minnesota is one fantasy managers can exploit. The Vikings allow the third-most fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position. If Watson is ruled out, Doubs can be locked in a viable FLEX option with a top-24 ceiling. However, if Watson does suit up, Doubs becomes a less appealing FLEX and is mainly viable only in deep 14-16 team leagues.
