Hopefully, that helps give you a quick picture of which teams are at the top and/or bottom of this list. Now, let’s do a deeper dive into some of the “top teams” heading into the 2019 regular season.
Heavy Favorite
Patriots, Chiefs: The New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs are the two betting favorites to win the Super Bowl, and they are on a collision course to meet in the AFC Championship Game again this season. The Patriots outlasted the Chiefs in a wild game a season ago, and Kansas City will be out for revenge in 2019. You can never count out Tom Brady and the Patriots, and the Chiefs have one of the most talented players in the world in Patrick Mahomes as their quarterback. Betting on the Patriots or Chiefs to win the Super Bowl is a wise investment.
Rams, Saints: The 2018 NFC Championship Game featuring the Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints game ended with plenty of drama after a missed call helped send the Rams to the Super Bowl. Both teams should be loaded on offense again in 2019, and there could very well be a rematch of the NFC Championship Game this winter.
On The Rise
Chicago Bears +1400: If Mitchell Trubisky and the Bears offense can find a way to catch up to the defense, then the Bears have a great chance at winning the Super Bowl. Chicago had the top-rated defense in the NFL a season ago and won the NFC North with a record of 12-4. Matt Nagy’s group is loaded on the defensive side of the ball with Khalil Mack leading the way. The Bears won’t be an underdog this season, but they are going to be really good.
Indianapolis Colts +1400: The Colts have been slowly building a powerhouse through the NFL draft. Last year they landed one of the leagues top offensive line prospects in the first round with Quenton Nelson but stole the show when they snagged defensive rookie of the year, Darius Leonard in the second round. While the surrounding talent is getting better through a youth movement, Andrew Luck seems to finally be turning the corner with his long history of injuries. He is bothered by a calf injury but is expected to be ready to start for week one. If Luck can stay healthy, the team has a real chance to be the surprise team in the AFC in 2019.
Pittsburgh Steelers +2500: The Pittsburgh Steelers lost Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown in the offseason, but they still might be the third-best team in the AFC. Pittsburgh will have quarterback Ben Roethlisberger under center again, and their defense should be strong as well. Most people are picking the Cleveland Browns to win the AFC North, but the Steelers will have something to say about that.
Conclusion
These are the current odds to win the 2019/2020 Super Bowl as of Aug. 1, but they are set to change several times throughout the season. Be sure to continue to stay up to date with all the NFL player news throughout the season for all of your betting needs. There is the potential to win some big money by betting on the NFL (and the Super Bowl), but do your research before getting in on the action.
