Max Clark Exits Early on Tuesday With Apparent Hand Injury

Detroit Tigers outfield prospect Max Clark (hand) exited Tuesday's game for Double-A Erie after a swing-and-miss on a pitch during his at-bat in the third inning. The Tigers' second-ranked prospect left with the trainer after having his hand examined. No official word has been given on the specifics of the injury, however, he is absent from Erie's lineup for Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader against Harrisburg. Hopefully the injury is not serious, but thankfully, the former third overall draft pick is just 20 years old and has plenty of time to continue his march toward the majors. For now, consider the left-handed slugger day-to-day, but the situation is one to monitor.

Max Clark Launches Home Run on Thursday

Detroit Tigers outfield prospect Max Clark went 2-for-4 with a home run and a stolen base during their contest against Double-A Chesapeake on Thursday evening. This game snapped a lengthy 19-game home run drought for the top outfield prospect in the Detroit system. During this 19-game power skid, Clark was still productive in the batter's box as he held a .286/.391/.416 line with three doubles, four home runs, and four stolen bases. Overall, since joining Double-A Erie, the former third overall pick has posted a .281/.381/.479 line with an .860 OPS. He began the season with High-A and held a similar .285/.430/.427 line with seven home runs and 12 stolen bases. He should be in a good position to spend most of the 2026 season at the Triple-A level.

Max Clark Riding Three-Game Hit Streak at Double-A

Detroit Tigers outfield prospect Max Clark extended his hitting streak to three games at Double-A on Sunday afternoon. After going just 2-for-11 with a home run during his first three doubles with Double-A Erie, Clark has now tallied at least one hit in each of his last three. During this three-game stretch, Clark has gone deep once, tallied two RBI, and scored five runs. He has also swiped a bag. Clark is considered the No. 2-ranked prospect in Detroit, behind only infielder Kevin McGonigle and the No. 11-ranked overall prospect on MLB.com. The former third overall pick opened the 2025 season with High-A West Michigan and posted a solid .285/.430/.427 line with an .857 OPS. Clark remains a top priority star in all dynasty leagues, as he is expected to make his MLB debut next season.

Max Clark Hits First Double-A Long Ball

Detroit Tigers outfield prospect Max Clark went 1-for-3 with a home run during their contest against Double-A Harrisburg on Wednesday evening. After tallying a single in his Double-A debut on Tuesday, Clark would waste little time, going deep in just his second game at the level. Clark is considered the No. 2-ranked prospect in the system on MLB.com. The Tigers drafted Clark with the third pick in the 2023 MLB Draft out of Franklin Community HS. Clark began the campaign with High-A, where he held a .285/.340/.427 slash line with 12 doubles, two triples, seven home runs, and 12 stolen bases. Last summer, Clark spent most of his time with Low-A before earning a taste of High-A. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his production as Clark is developing into one of the top hitters in the minor leagues. He will likely spend the remainder of the second half with Double-A.

Max Clark Tallies Hit in Double-A Debut

Detroit Tigers outfield prospect Max Clark went 1-for-4 in his Double-A debut on Tuesday evening. Clark would hit a single in the third inning of the contest. The 20-year-old is considered the No. 2-ranked prospect in Detroit and the No. 12 overall prospect on MLB.com. The former third overall pick from the 2023 MLB Draft spent the first half of the season with High-A West Michigan. Through 68 games, Clark posted a solid .285/.430/.427 line with 12 doubles, two triples, seven home runs, and 12 stolen bases. During his first stint at High-A during the 2024 campaign, Clark held a lower .264/.344/.421 line. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Clark's progression with Double-A. If he can enjoy a strong second half, he could be in the mix to open the 2026 season with Triple-A, which would put him on track to join the majors later that summer.

Max Clark, Kevin McGonigle, Josue Briceno Promoted to Double-A

Detroit Tigers outfielder Max Clark, infielder Kevin McGonigle, and catcher Josue Briceno have all been promoted to Double-A on Sunday. All three hitters have been promoted after a strong first half of the season in Single-A. Clark is probably the most highly regarded prospect of the bunch, but all three of them have sky-high ceilings. Now, it's time for these young hitters to really turn up the heat with a tougher challenge in Double-A. It's highly unlikely any of these hitters see Detroit this season. However, they could get to the big league level in 2026 if they continue to hit like they have in the first half of 2025.

Max Clark Hits Home Run in Second Straight Contest

Detroit Tigers outfield prospect Max Clark went 2-for-4 with a double and a home run during their contest against High-A Lake County on Tuesday evening. This was Clark's second-straight contest going deep. In addition, this was Clark's third-straight game tallying at least two hits. Over his last 11 games, Clark has posted a .310/.412/.595 slash line with two doubles, two triples, two home runs, and two stolen bases. Through 59 total games with High-A this season, the top-ranked prospect in the Detroit system has posted a strong .267/.418/.412 line. This is a nice improvement compared to the .264/.344/.421 line held during his first 32 games at this level during the 2024 campaign. Given his steady progress, Clark should be in the mix to reach Double-A in the second half.

Max Clark Gets on Base Four Times for High-A West Michigan

Detroit Tigers outfield prospect Max Clark went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, and three runs scored for High-A West Michigan on Tuesday. What's more is that the 20-year-old also drew two walks in the contest, something he's been able to do at a phenomenal rate so far this year. Despite going 6-for-46 (.130) in the 13 games prior to Tuesday's game, the former third-overall draft pick logged a .365 OBP thanks to a 17:13 BB:K during that time. For the season, the left-handed slugger owns a .265/.425/.380 slash line with four home runs, nine stolen bases, and is walking (46 BB) more than he is striking out (32 K). The Tigers' top-ranked prospect is still a couple of seasons away from a full-time role in Detroit, but should see some time at Double-A later this year.
