Drew Sample Fantasy

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Drew Sample caught all seven of his targets for 49 yards during the loss to Miami on Sunday. The 24-year-old arguably had the most productive outing of his career, at least from a volume standpoint. While his receptions total was likely inflated by the ejection of Tyler Boyd, who was booted in the first half for fighting, it was still a solid effort from the second-year man out of Washington. With Boyd looking at a potential suspension, fantasy managers in need of a tight end may want to keep him in mind next weekend against Dallas, as his ceiling may raise considerably.

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Drew Sample is not a starting option this week. Sample has gotten 40 and 29 yards along with nine total targets the past two weeks, but his role has been inconsistent all season. Look no further than several games where he posted little to no yards. Add in a backup QB and a generally small role in this offense, and Sample is best left on waivers.

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Drew Sample showed a solid rapport with Brandon Allen during Sunday's loss to the Giants, bringing down four receptions for 40 yards. Sample's targets have fluctuated throughout 2020 with Joe Burrow under center, but he was able to deliver his best stat line since Week 7 with Allen as the QB. Still without a touchdown this year, Sample has little season-long intrigue at this stage, although he can be viewed as a punt play option in DFS as he is the undoubted No. 1 pass-catching option at TE for Cincinnati. He will look to build on the newfound camaraderie with Allen (assuming he remains the starter) in Week 13 against a stout Dolphins Defense.
