Ja'Marr Chase Remains Unquestioned Top Receiving Option

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase has been a superstar since entering the league in 2021. Chase has finished with 1,000 receiving yards or more in every season and has over 50 touchdowns in his career. This past season, Chase saw a career-high 185 targets, hauling in 125 receptions for 1,412 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. across 16 games. Chase has finished as the WR5 or higher in three of his first five seasons in the league. The superstar wideout seems to be one of the few players in the league who is bust-proof. The 26-year-old still has a league-winning ceiling and is young enough to still build around even in dynasty start-ups.

Ja'Marr Chase a True Dynasty Cornerstone

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase has finished as the WR5 or better in three of his first five seasons, only falling short when he missed four games in 2022 and when the team was without three-time Pro Bowl quarterback Joe Burrow for half of the 2023 season. Even at his worst, Chase has finished no lower than WR13, making him one of fantasy's most bust-proof players, evidenced by a mid-season run in 2025 that saw him targeted 53 times in a three-game stretch that all but saved Joe Flacco's career and helped land the 18-year veteran his first career Pro Bowl selection. With Flacco back in the fold as the Bengals' backup for 2026, dynasty managers can feel good about Chase's floor while never having to question his league-willing ceiling. At only 26 years old, Chase is RotoBaller's top-ranked player in single-quarterback dynasty formats and one of fantasy's safest players to build around.

Is Ja'Marr Chase the Most Valuable Player in Dynasty?

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase has the 11th-most receptions in NFL history by any player through their first six seasons. Remarkably, he has only played five years, meaning anything more than 59 catches in 2026 (fewer than half of what he's recorded in each of the previous two seasons) will earn him the record. Chase has had one of the most legendary starts to a professional career across all sports, and that is reflected by his standing as the overall number one player in RotoBaller's non-superflex dynasty rankings. Even with a Week 2 foot injury to Joe Burrow derailing Cincinnati's offense for much of the first half of the 2025 season, Chase was the one Bengals player who did not fully sink fantasy managers while Jake Browning was averaging 172 passing yards per game across his three starts. With competent quarterback play, Chase was his usual unstoppable self, reaching double-digit receptions in five of 14 games started by Burrow or Joe Flacco, while finishing with fewer than seven catches only four times. At only 26 years old, Chase has several years of prime play still ahead of him, and with both he and Burrow tied to Cincinnati through the 2029 season, his reign atop the dynasty rankings could be a long one.

Is Ja'Marr Chase the Obvious Dynasty WR1 Entering 2026?

Five years into his NFL career, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase is well-established as arguably the best pass-catcher in football. The 26-year-old is coming off another highly productive season in 2025, hauling in 125 receptions for 1,412 yards and eight touchdowns on 185 targets across 16 games. While Chase wasn't able to replicate his 1,700-yard, 17-touchdown season from 2024, he still led the NFL in targets and put up monster numbers despite playing nine games with star Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, who missed time due to a toe injury. With Burrow fully healthy, Chase has a case to be valued as the WR1 in fantasy for the 2026 season. Even if Burrow suffers another injury, Chase has proven the ability to be an elite producer, particularly in PPR-scoring formats. Coming off back-to-back first-team All-Pro seasons, Chase might currently profile as the highest-floor and highest-ceiling dynasty wide receiver in fantasy football.

Ja'Marr Chase a Real Threat to Finish as Overall WR1?

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase had a terrific season in 2025 from a fantasy football perspective, ranking as the overall WR4 with 125 catches, 1,412 yards, and eight touchdowns. It was a step back from his overall WR1 finish in 2024, but at least he can still say that he was a top-12 fantasy receiver through each of his first five seasons in the NFL. What made Chase's 2025 stats even more impressive was the fact that he spent more than half of his games without Joe Burrow, instead catching passes from Jake Browning and Joe Flacco. If Browning and Flacco can support a top-five finish, then Burrow will certainly have no trouble doing it, too. The 29-year-old quarterback is healthy once again, which bodes well for Chase's potential to reclaim his spot as the top-scoring receiver in fantasy football.

Ja'Marr Chase Has Overall WR1 Upside with Quarterback Healthy

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase continued to produce at a high level in 2025. Even with inconsistent quarterback play, Chase caught 125 passes for 1,412 yards and eight touchdowns over 16 games, ranking as the WR4 in PPR leagues. He didn't replicate his overall WR1 finish from 2024, but he still offered top-tier results for his fantasy managers down the stretch. Most importantly, Chase didn't let quarterback issues alter his productivity too much. Sure, he looked much better when Joe Burrow was healthy, but he still ranked as a WR1 when catching passes from Jake Browning and Joe Flacco. With Burrow entering the offseason on a clean bill of health, Chase finds himself back in the high-end WR1 tier. In fact, he has the potential to rank as the overall WR1 as long as Burrow stays healthy for most or all of the 2026 campaign. The LSU product has been a top-12 fantasy receiver in all five of his pro campaigns, as well as a top-five receiver in three of the five. He remains a hot commodity in the first round of redraft leagues going forward, and he's (justifiably) one of the most expensive trade targets in dynasty formats.

Ja'Marr Chase Still a Top Fantasy Receiver for 2026 and Beyond

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase had another strong season in 2025. While he wasn't able to replicate his WR1 finish from 2024, he still had a big year with 125 catches, 1,412 yards, and eight touchdowns across 16 games. He was the WR4 in PPR leagues, extending his streak to five consecutive finishes within the top 12. It was impressive to see Chase thrive even without Joe Burrow throwing him passes for the whole season. He spent plenty of games with Joe Flacco and Jake Browning, which limited his upside on a week-by-week basis. That partial-season quarterback downgrade is likely why Chase only scored eight touchdowns, relative to his 17 from the year before. Burrow's health is never a guarantee, but if the quarterback can stay healthy for most of 2026, Chase and fellow receiver Tee Higgins should both benefit. He's still a top-three receiver with overall WR1 upside in both redraft and dynasty leagues. If there's ever a time to get him at a slight discount in dynasty trades, it might be now.

Ja'Marr Chase Still a First-Round Fantasy Receiver

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase wasn't as dominant in 2025 as he was in 2024, when he led the NFL in catches (127), targets (175), receiving yards (1,708), touchdowns (17), and yards per game (100.5). Chase had a league-high 185 targets, 125 catches, 1,412 yards, and eight touchdowns in his 16 games played in his fifth year in the league in 2025. Despite the step back, the 25-year-old wideout remains one of the best all-around receivers in the game. Chase was the WR4 in half-PPR scoring, behind only Puka Nacua, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Amon-Ra St. Brown. He has been a Pro Bowler in all five of his NFL seasons, as well as being named a first-team All-Pro in the last two years. The former fifth overall pick out of LSU is showing no signs of slowing down and has excellent chemistry with quarterback Joe Burrow. Chase already has a staggering 6,837 receiving yards and 54 touchdowns in his 78 games played for the Bengals.

Ja'Marr Chase Records Eighth Touchdown Catch of 2025 in Week 18

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase had a big game in his team's 20-18 Week 18 loss to the Cleveland Browns, recording eight catches for 96 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets. The 25-year-old had another excellent season in 2025, hauling in 125 receptions for 1,412 yards and eight touchdowns on 185 targets across 16 games played. Across seven games started by Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, Chase averaged 106 receiving yards per contest and recorded four touchdown grabs. Chase has been named to the Pro Bowl in all five of his NFL seasons and could be on his way to a second consecutive All-Pro selection. As long as he makes it through the offseason healthy, Chase figures to be one of the first wide receivers off the board in fantasy drafts heading into the 2026 season.

Ja'Marr Chase Snags Two Touchdowns in Week 17

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase gave fantasy managers a strong performance during championship weekend. Chase has seen his fantasy value go back to elite status since the return of quarterback Joe Burrow. On Sunday, the duo connected for two touchdowns in the win over the Arizona Cardinals. Chase snagged a 13-yard score in the first quarter and found the end zone again for an eight-yard touchdown in the second quarter. He hauled in seven of his nine targets for 60 yards and two scores in the victory. Chase will look to surpass the 1,400-yard mark during the Week 18 divisional matchup versus the Cleveland Browns. He'll be a must-start, elite WR1 for all fantasy managers still playing for something in the regular-season finale.
