Lane Johnson Expects To Return In Week 13

Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson (groin) said that he's feeling good and feels like he will be ready for the Week 13 showdown against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Johnson popped some scar tissue in his groin from last year, which is why he was held out of the Week 12 overtime win over the Buffalo Bills this past Sunday. The 33-year-old was a late addition to the team's injury report after he woke up with soreness in his groin on Sunday, and the Eagles held him out as a precaution. He's currently day-to-day, but if he's able to practice this week without any setbacks, Johnson should return to his starting role at right tackle for an elite Eagles offensive line this weekend. Getting the four-time Pro Bowler back will be good news for the Eagles' offense.

Lane Johnson Downgraded To Questionable In Week 12

Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson (groin) has ben downgraded to questionable for Sunday's Week 12 showdown against the Buffalo Bills due to a groin injury. It's not good news for Johnson or the Eagles' offensive line in a big game this weekend in Philadelphia. There's still a chance the 33-year-old tackle is able to play, but late additions to the injury report usually aren't in a great position to be active. Johnson is also set to undergo an MRI exam before Sunday's game. Losing the four-time Pro Bowler would certainly make life more difficult for quarterback Jalen Hurts and the entire offense against Buffalo. If Johnson is ruled inactive for Sunday's late slate of games, expect Jack Driscoll to step in as the starter at right tackle for Philly.

Lane Johnson Injured In Week 6 Loss

Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson (ankle) was injured in the Week 6 upset loss to the New York Jets and was eventually ruled out. Johnson's ankle was rolled up on while he was engaged in a block in the first quarter and was never able to return to the contest. The 33-year-old four-time Pro Bowler is a key piece of Philadelphia's elite offensive line, so we'll be keeping a close eye on his status heading into the team's Week 7 showdown at home against the Miami Dolphins. If Johnson has to sit out in Week 7 or beyond, Jack Driscoll will take over the starting duties on the right side of the Eagles' offensive line.

Lane Johnson Cleared For Football Activities

Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson (core) has been cleared to resume football activities. The four-time Pro Bowler played through a core muscle injury last postseason. He missed the final two games of the regular season because of the issue, but played through the pain in the playoffs. After that, Johnson underwent surgery in February on his torn adductor. It's great to see the 32-year-old getting cleared for offseason workouts. Johnson remains an elite linemen and a key part to the Eagles rushing attack.

Eagles Give Lane Johnson One-Year Extension

The Philadelphia Eagles gave All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson a one-year, $33.445 million contract extension on Friday that includes $30 million guaranteed, according to a source. Johnson is now under contract through the 2026 season. He hasn't given up a sack in the last two years, despite playing last postseason with a torn adductor muscle in his groin. The 32-year-old veteran will return to the Eagles for an 11th season in 2023 after having surgery on his groin in February after the Super Bowl loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He could be ready by the time the team begins their offseason workouts, but if not, he should be fully recovered by training camp in the summer. Having Johnson on the right side of the offensive line is a tremendous asset for the Eagles explosive offense.

Lane Johnson Facing 10-12 Week Recovery

Philadelphia Eagles star offensive tackle Lane Johnson (groin) had surgery to fix a torn adductor on Thursday and is facing a 10- to 12-week recovery in the offseason. Johnson was impressive in the playoffs despite playing through the injury. Barring a setback, the 32-year-old should be ready for training camp in the summer and the start of the 2023 regular season. The four-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro was a big reason for the success of Philly's offense in 2022, and he should continue to serve as the team's starting right tackle once he recovers from his surgery.

Lane Johnson To Have Surgery This Week

Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson (groin), who played through a torn adductor in the playoffs, will have surgery on it later this week, according to sources. Johnson delayed his surgery so that he could play in the postseason, but he'll now be able to recover during the offseason. The 32-year-old four-time Pro Bowler is a big reason why the Eagles have one of the best offensive lines in the league. He earned his second All-Pro nod in 2022 and managed to start 15 regular season games. Johnson should be a staple for the Eagles at right tackle again in 2023 as long as he can stay healthy.

Lane Johnson Removed From Injury Report

Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson (groin) has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Divisional Round matchup against the New York Giants. The star tackle will get back on the field after a three-week absence. His return will be a significant boost for the Eagles offensive line. The Eagles were able to run for 253 yards during the last meeting between these two teams in Week 14. It appears the Eagles won't have to worry about having a banged up offensive line heading into this postseason matchup.

Lane Johnson Expected To Play In Divisional Round

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said that the team expects offensive tackle Lane Johnson (groin) to play in the Divisional Round on Saturday night against the New York Giants. "We feel good about it," Sirianni said. Johnson suffered a torn groin in Week 16 and has been recovering ever since. While the 32-year-old All-Pro right tackle may not be 100 percent this weekend, getting him back on the offensive line is a plus for one of the best offenses in football. Johnson will have surgery whenever the Eagles season comes to an end, which could put his availability for the start of the 2023 campaign into question.

Lane Johnson Back At Practice

Philadelphia Eagles Pro Bowl right tackle Lane Johnson (abdomen) was spotted at the team's practice on Friday. He hasn't played since Week 16 when tests showed a torn tendon in his abdominal area, but he appears to be on track to return for the Divisional Round of the postseason next weekend. The 32-year-old decided to put off surgery so that he has a chance of returning in the playoffs, but it remains to be seen how effective he'll be. But getting the four-time Pro Bowler back for a potential deep postseason run will be big for Philadelphia's offensive line. Jack Driscoll and Andre Dillard have stepped into bigger roles on the O-line with Johnson sidelined.
