Colts Re-Sign Kenny Moore To Three-Year Deal

The Indianapolis Colts re-signed cornerback Kenny Moore to a three-year, $30 million deal on Tuesday that makes him the highest-paid nickel cornerback in the NFL, according to a source. Moore, who was a Pro Bowler for the first and only time in his career in 2021, had 93 total tackles (68 solo), 1.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss, three interceptions (two returned for touchdowns) and six passes defended in 16 starts in 2023 in his seventh season with Indianapolis. It was a rebound from a down year in 2022 in which he only played in 12 contests. The 28-year-old corner finished last year as the No. 12 overall defensive back in IDP fantasy leagues and should be in play as a starter at the position in those setups again in 2024.

Colts Rule Out Kenny Moore

The Indianapolis Colts ruled out cornerback Kenny Moore (shin) and offensive tackle Braden Smith (illness) for the Sunday night game against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 13. Moore was injured in the Monday night loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers and will miss at least one game. It's a big loss for a strong Colts defense against a potent Cowboys offensive attack. The 27-year-old was seen with a cast on his right leg on Thursday, so there's a chance he'll miss multiple games with his injury. With Moore out this weekend, look for Brandon Facyson and Isaiah Rodgers to see more playing time in the Colts secondary against Dallas.

Kenny Moore Injured Monday Night

Indianapolis Colts cornerback Kenny Moore (shin) was injured in the Monday night game against the Pittsburgh Steelers late in the second half and is questionable to return. It's unlikely that Moore will return after he was seen limping to the locker room. He collided with teammate Zaire Franklin on a goal-line play in the fourth quarter and was removed from the game. Before leaving, Moore was leading the team with 10 tackles (seven solo) for the Colts defense. Losing Moore for an extended period of time would be a big blow to the Colts defense to close out the season, but we'll have a better idea of the severity of his injury in the coming days.

Kenny Moore Expected To Play In Week 8

Indianapolis Colts defensive back Kenny Moore (finger) is currently considered questionable for the Week 8 matchup against the Washington Commanders. The 27-year-old reportedly suffered a scary finger injury during practice this week. The team expects Moore to play, but they will likely wait until closer to game time before making a final decision. Through seven games, Moore has 31 tackles, one sack, and two passes defended for this Colts defense. Obviously, having Moore on the field would be an upgrade for the Indy defensive unit.

Kenny Moore Arrives Ahead Of Minicamp

Indianapolis Colts Pro Bowl cornerback Kenny Moore, who hasn't been attending organized team activities and wants a new contract in line with his play, is in the team's building on Monday for his physical prior to mandatory minicamp this week, according to sources. NFL teams can begin fining players that don't show up to mandatory minicamp, but it looks like the Colts won't have to go down that road with Moore. The 26-year-old was excellent in his fifth season in Indy, compiling a career-high 102 tackles (82 solo), six tackles for loss, one sack, a career-high-tying four interceptions, 13 passes defensed and one forced fumble in 17 games. Moore was a top-five fantasy defensive back in IDP leagues and should be a starter in those formats again in 2022.

Kenny Moore Unhappy With His Contract

Indianapolis Colts cornerback Kenny Moore was a no-show at organized team activities on Wednesday, a message to the team that he's unhappy with his current contract. Organized team activities are voluntary, but next week's three-day mandatory minicamp will be telling. The Colts could fine the Pro Bowl cornerback almost $95,000 if he doesn't attend. The 26-year-old had a career-high 102 tackles (82 solo), six tackles for loss, a career-high-tying four interceptions, 13 passes defensed, one forced fumble and a sack in 17 games last year. Moore finished as the No. 3 defensive back in overall fantasy points in IDP leagues in 2021. Regardless of his contract situation, he'll be a starting DB in those formats again this year.
