Indianapolis Colts free-agent safety George Odum signed a three-year, $10.95 million deal with the San Francisco 49ers on Friday, according to a source. Odum was a first-team All-Pro for the Colts in 2020 when he had 21 tackles (14 solo) and a forced fumble in 16 games (zero starts). He had a career-high 55 tackles (45 solo), one interception, two passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in 17 games (seven starts) last year in his fourth season in Indianapolis. Odum entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Central Arkansas. The 28-year-old has made his biggest mark on special teams and should continue to do so in San Francisco.

The Indianapolis Colts tendered All-Pro special teams player and impending restricted free-agent George Odum at the right-of-first-refusal tender on Tuesday, according to a source. The Colts will have the chance to match any offer Odum receives on the open market. The fourth-year pro will earn $2.133 million if he remains with the Colts in 2021. An undrafted player out of Central Arkansas, Odum has developed into an important member of the teams special teams unit and has been a capable backup safety. He had 37 tackles in both 2018 and 2019, playing 238 and 288 defensive snaps, respectively. Odum had an NFL-best 20 special teams tackles and a forced fumble in 2020.
