In the 21-14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Frankfurt, Germany, in Week 9 on Sunday, Miami Dolphins offensive guard Robert Jones (knee) suffered an ugly looking knee injury in the second half and eventually needed to be carted to the locker room after hobbling off the field with a trainer. The Dolphins are on bye next week, but given the way the injury looked, it would be a surprise if the 24-year-old offensive lineman wasn't forced to miss time in Week 10 and beyond. Liam Eichenberg took over for Jones at left guard on Sunday to close out the game against the Chiefs and could be looking at more playing time when the team comes out of their Week 10 bye.

Miami Dolphins offensive guard Robert Jones (knee) is expected to miss four to six weeks with an MCL sprain, according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. Jones suffered an MCL sprain in the team's preseason game against the Houston Texans on Aug. 19 and was put on Injured Reserve on Wednesday. With Jones now out for the first part of the 2023 regular season, Robert Hunt will step in as the team's starter at right guard for at least the first four games. Jones, 24, started seven games for Miami in 2022 after starting just one game in his rookie campaign in 2021.

Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Robert Jones (knee) suffered an MCL sprain in his knee during Saturday's preseason game against the Houston Texans and is expected to miss four to six weeks, according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. Jones is expected to avoid surgery. It's tough news for the 24-year-old, as he was in a battle for a starting job on Miami's offensive line during training camp this summer. He'll now have to miss the start of the 2023 regular season, with Robert Hunt now likely beginning the year as the team's starting right guard.
