Stetson Bennett Fantasy

Los Angeles Rams rookie quarterback Stetson Bennett (shoulder) has been placed on the Non-Football Injury list, head coach Sean McVay announced. The fourth-round pick out of Georgia has also been dealing with a shoulder injury that kept him out of the team's season opener. McVay said that these two issues are unrelated. Brett Rypien will likely serve as Matthew Stafford's backup for at least the next four games.

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Stetson Bennett had a rough day in the team's 41-0 loss to the Denver Broncos. Bennett played just three drives and threw an interception in two of them. The fourth-round pick out of Georgia went 4-of-9 for just 14 passing yards. Bennett was solid in the team's first two preseason games and could have the QB2 spot locked up. This performance puts the Rams in a tough position when deciding on who should be the team's backup quarterback between Bennett and Brett Rypien.

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Stetson Bennett got the start over Brett Rypien in Saturday's 34-17 preseason loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. He entered the game behind Rypien in their preseason opener but got the start and played for three entire quarters on Saturday night. Bennett completed 15-of-24 passes for 142 yards and a four-yard rushing touchdown. However, the fourth-round pick out of Georgia did throw a pick-six in what looked like a miscommunication between him and the receiver. Regardless, Bennett has looked good in both preseason games and is making a strong case to enter the season as the team's backup quarterback to Matthew Stafford.
