Tyrell Shavers has Limited Upside in Week 14

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Tyrell Shavers broke out for 90 yards and a touchdown on four receptions (five targets) in Week 11 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, he has failed to register a target over the past two games. The 26-year-old has operated as part of the Bills rotation at receiver this year and hasn't run a full route share in any game this season, maxing out at 61.8% in Week 6, with no other game above 37.5%. With Buffalo adding Keon Coleman back into the mix after a two-game absence for disciplinary reasons, along with veterans off the street in Gabe Davis and Brandin Cooks, Shavers is unlikely to see many opportunities. The second-year wideout has an ideal Week 14 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, but Shavers profiles as just a deep-league dart throw in re-draft leagues.

Tyrell Shavers Tough to Trust in Week 13

With his team's wide receiver room in flux, Buffalo Bills wideout Tyrell Shavers had a breakout game in Week 11, recording four catches for 90 yards and a touchdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, Shavers followed that game up with a dud against the Houston Texans in Week 12, recording zero catches on zero targets. Shavers also played fewer snaps against Houston than Bills wide receivers Khalil Shakir, Joshua Palmer (ankle), and Gabe Davis. Palmer is questionable to play in Week 13 against the Pittsburgh Steelers due to an ankle injury, but Buffalo also signed veteran wideout Brandin Cooks. For the season overall, Shavers has played fewer than 50% of his team's offensive snaps in every game but one. Shavers should remain off the radar of fantasy managers in Week 13 against Pittsburgh.

Tyrell Shavers is Quickly Losing Value

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Tyrell Shavers gave fantasy managers a goose egg during last week's game against the Houston Texans. That was a tough blow to fantasy managers who thought Shavers would be a viable option after posting a 90-yard performance in Week 11. Outside of his outburst against Tampa Bay, Shavers has been a non-factor in the offense all season long. The 26-year-old wasn't targeted at all during last week's game against Houston. It seems safe for fantasy managers in redraft formats to move on from Shavers and consider his 90-yard performance a fluke.

Tough Matchup Dampers Outlook For Tyrell Shavers

Coming off the best game of his career, Buffalo Bills wide receiver Tyrell Shavers should be left on the bench in most formats when his team takes on the Houston Texans on Thursday. Shavers, mostly a special teamer to this point, broke out for four catches, 90 yards, and a touchdown last week against Tampa, and now the Bills' receiver room is in limbo this week. Khalil Shakir (personal) missed practice on Monday and Tuesday, while Keon Coleman was a healthy scratch last week after being late to a team meeting. If either or both were to be unavailable tonight, that would leave some combination of Shavers, Joshua Palmer, Curtis Samuel, and Mecole Hardman to fill in the gaps. Even so, Shavers has just 11 catches in 10 games overall, and Houston ranks No. 1 against PPR receivers, making him too risky to rely upon.

Tyrell Shavers Making Push for Larger Role in Buffalo

Buffalo Bills second-year receiver Tyrell Shavers is coming off a breakout performance in Week 11, posting 90 yards and a touchdown on four receptions against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Keon Coleman's surprising healthy scratch opened the door for several Bills receivers, and Shavers took full advantage, logging a career-high 53% of the snaps. While Coleman's status for the Week 12 Thursday night matchup against the Houston Texans remains unclear, Shavers has likely earned a larger role in the offense. He isn't quite fantasy-relevant yet, but another strong showing against a tough Houston secondary could put him firmly on the radar.

Tyrell Shavers Earning Expanded Role in Buffalo?

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Tyrell Shavers had the best game of his young career in Week 11, recording four catches for 90 yards and a touchdown on five targets in a win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Across 10 games this season, the 26-year-old has hauled in 11 catches for 172 yards and a score on 17 targets. Shavers was a beneficiary of Bills wideout Keon Coleman being a healthy scratch in Week 11 due to a coach's decision. While Coleman is expected to be back for Buffalo's Week 12 matchup against the Houston Texans, Shavers may have earned more playing time with his production in Week 11. The Bills may also be without tight end Dalton Kincaid (hamstring) for a second consecutive game against Houston, leaving the target landscape wide open for Shavers and fellow Bills wide receivers Khalil Shakir and Joshua Palmer. In deep fantasy leagues, Shavers could be worth targeting on the waiver wire.

Tyrell Shavers Steps Up as Top Receiver, Scores Big Touchdown

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Tyrell Shavers caught four of his five targets for a team-high 90 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's Week 11 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His biggest play of the game was a 43-yard touchdown that temporarily gave Buffalo the lead in the second quarter. Shavers capitalized on an increased opportunity to produce with Keon Coleman (coach's decision) inactive. The third-year receiver played 53.6% of the offensive snaps, setting a new career-high. Coleman should return to action next week, but Shavers has shown that he deserves to compete for more opportunities alongside Coleman, Khalil Shakir, and Joshua Palmer.

Tyrell Shavers Finds the End Zone on Saturday

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Tyrell Shavers finished with the team's only touchdown reception in a 23-19 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday. With the Bills leading 7-3 late in the second quarter, Shavers made a spectacular one-handed catch in the end zone for an 11-yard score. That was one of two grabs for Shavers, who totaled 24 yards on three targets. Shavers' impact went beyond the box score, as he also drew a pair of defensive holding penalties that led to first downs for the Bills. The former undrafted free agent from San Diego State, who has been fighting for a place near the back of the Bills' receiver depth chart this summer, made his presence felt in all three of the team's exhibition games. Shavers led the Bills with 120 yards on six receptions in the preseason, and now he's left to hope that production will help him earn a roster spot.

Tyrell Shavers Productive Again on Sunday

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Tyrell Shavers turned in his second straight solid preseason performance in a 38-0 defeat against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. On a night that saw few Bills contribute anything of note, Shavers caught two of his three targets for 29 yards. The lone miss came after Shavers beat cornerback Jeremiah Walker on a 25-yard pass down the sideline. Quarterback Mike White's throw was catchable but slightly out of Shavers' reach, and it fell incomplete. To cap off his night, Shavers drew a 23-yard pass interference penalty on a third-and-18 play in the third quarter. Undrafted out of San Diego State in 2023, Shavers has played in just three regular-season games (all last year) and caught one pass (a 69-yard touchdown), but he has garnered rave reviews in camp and stepped up in preseason action with four receptions for 99 yards. The 25-year-old helped his cause again on Sunday in his bid for a roster spot.

Tyrell Shavers Leads Bills in Receiving on Saturday

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Tyrell Shavers totaled a team-high 70 yards on two catches in a 34-25 preseason-opening loss to the New York Giants on Saturday. Shavers finished with four targets and did the majority of his damage on a 58-yard connection with quarterback Mitchell Trubisky near the end of the first half. Now 25 years old, Shavers has been with the Bills since they signed him as an undrafted free agent from San Diego State in 2023. He made the only three regular-season appearances of his career in 2024 and recorded his lone catch, a dump-off from Trubisky that he turned into a 69-yard touchdown in a Week 17 rout of the New York Jets. Shavers is fighting for a roster spot this summer behind Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, Joshua Palmer, Curtis Samuel, and Elijah Moore. While Saturday's performance should help his cause, his ability to play special teams may be what earns him a job.
