The Buffalo Bills agreed to terms with free-agent offensive guard Connor McGovern on a three-year, $23 million deal on Monday, according to a source. The former third-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in 2019 is on the move in free agency. In his three years in Dallas to begin his career, McGovern played in 45 games and made 29 starts. The 25-year-old should be able to earn a starting guard spot on the Bills' offensive line in training camp this summer. He made a career-high 15 starts for the Cowboys in 2022 after starting 14 games in his first two seasons combined.

Dallas Cowboys offensive guard Connor McGovern (ankle) suffered a high ankle sprain in the Week 1 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday night and is projected to miss two to four weeks, according to a person with knowledge of the injury. The Cowboys think that McGovern could return sooner than later because it's an injury he's dealt with before. The 24-year-old won't have to miss too much time, but it's more bad news for a Dallas offense that just lost star quarterback Dak Prescott to a fractured right thumb. With McGovern out in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals, Matt Farniok is expected to fill in as the starting left guard.
