Matthew Tkachuk Resumes Skating

Florida Panthers winger Matthew Tkachuk (groin) has resumed skating but is still without a set timeline for his return. Tkachuk provided the update on the "Wingmen" podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother, Brady Tkachuk (thumb) of the Ottawa Senators. Before the start of the season, Panthers general manager Bill Zito announced that Tkachuk will be out until "December-ish." Despite being without Tkachuk and Aleksander Barkov (knee), the Panthers have remained competitive, averaging over 3 goals per game (3.09). Veteran Brad Marchand is playing out of his skin and is currently on track to record his second career 90-point season.

Jakob Chychrun Stretches Point Streak to Nine Games

Washington Capitals defenseman Jakob Chychrun scored the second goal in Wednesday's 4-3 victory over the Winnipeg Jets to push his point streak to nine games. It's the current longest active point streak in the league. Additionally, Chychrun holds a four-game goal streak, becoming only the second Capitals blue-liner in 25 years to score in four consecutive games. Chychrun has finished three of his last five appearances with multiple points. This has boosted his tally for the season to 22 points (nine goals, 13 assists) with 24 games played, which places Chychrun tied for third among defensemen in scoring. Chychrun has been in sensational form this month and can match a franchise record for the longest point streak by a defenseman in Friday's meeting with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Matej Blumel  • RW  •  Bruins

Matej Blumel Expected to Miss Some Time

Boston Bruins winger Matej Blumel (lower body) is expected to be out for "a bit" after he was hurt during Wednesday's 3-1 victory over the New York Islanders, Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe reports. Blumel played only a couple of minutes in the contest, exiting with a lower-body injury. The Czech forward has recently held a top-line spot but is still looking for his first points of the season after making four appearances. Before he made his season debut earlier this month, Blumel averaged a point per game in the AHL. Tanner Jeannot, who posted the game-winning goal on Wednesday, might slot into the top six until Blumel returns.

Marcus Foligno Exits With Injury Wednesday

Minnesota Wild left wing Marcus Foligno (lower body) missed the third period and overtime in Wednesday's win over the Chicago Blackhawks. He dished out three hits in 7:28 of ice time before leaving the game with a lower-body injury. After 23 appearances, Foligno has failed to score with 21 shots and has only two assists. However, he ranks 11th in the league with 77 hits. Hunter Haight could make his third appearance of the season if Foligno isn't available on Friday against the Colorado Avalanche. The 21-year-old is not expected to make a significant fantasy impact.

Jaden Schwartz Suffers Lower-Body Injury Wednesday

Seattle Kraken forward Jaden Schwartz (lower body) was injured late in the second period during Wednesday's matchup against the Dallas Stars. On Wednesday, the Kraken had Jared McCann back in the lineup, but the team lost another key forward in Schwartz. The 33-year-old veteran is Seattle's leading scorer, having amassed 15 points (eight goals, seven assists) in 23 games. Seattle is likely to bring Jani Nyman back into the lineup if Schwartz misses time due to his injury. McCann, who had one assist in Wednesday's 3-2 loss, could be Schwartz's replacement in the top six.

Lukas Dostal  • G  •  Ducks

Lukas Dostal Out Wednesday Night

Anaheim Ducks goaltender Lukas Dostal (upper body) won't be available for Wednesday's contest against the Vancouver Canucks. He is nursing an upper-body injury and is considered day-to-day. Anaheim's No. 1 goaltender is having an outstanding campaign, sitting on an 11-5-1 record. He has logged a 2.81 goals-against average with a .904 save percentage. With Dostal out of commission, the Ducks will turn to Petr Mrazek on Wednesday night. Mrazek also holds a winning record at 3-2-0, but he is allowing nearly four goals a night this season (3.61) and holds a lowly .886 save percentage. Ville Husso, who was recalled from the AHL on Wednesday, will serve as Mrazek's backup.

Sean Durzi  • D  •  Mammoth

Sean Durzi Available Against Canadiens

Utah Mammoth defenseman Sean Durzi (upper body) will end a 21-game absence in Wednesday's matchup against the Montreal Canadiens. The 26-year-old suffered an upper-body injury in only the second game of the season. Durzi will enter the lineup on the third defensive pairing, replacing Dmitri Simashev. A couple of campaigns back, Durzi posted 41 points (nine goals, 32 assists) in 76 games and racked up blocks for fun. He has the potential to make a fantasy impact, but Durzi has battled health issues for two years now, missing 73 regular-season contests.

Thomas Chabot  • D  •  Senators

Thomas Chabot to Remain Out Wednesday

Ottawa Senators defenseman Thomas Chabot (upper body) will be absent for a fifth time in six games on Wednesday night against the Vegas Golden Knights. He remains day-to-day with a lingering upper-body issue. Nikolas Matinpalo took Chabot's spot in the Senators defense on Monday against the Los Angeles Kings and is poised to stay in the lineup for Wednesday's contest. In Monday's 2-1 loss, Martinpalo recorded an assist, but he isn't known as a regular scorer. Jordan Spence is filling in for Chabot on the second power-play unit and could draw some fantasy interest on Wednesday against a team with a mediocre penalty-killing record.

Jared McCann  • LW  •  Kraken

Jared McCann Expected to Rejoin Kraken Lineup Wednesday

Seattle Kraken forward Jared McCann (lower body) was activated from Injured Reserve on Wednesday and is expected to play against the Dallas Stars. He has been out of action since Oct. 18. Before sustaining a long-term lower-body injury, McCann posted three goals and four points in five games at the start of the season. On Wednesday, McCann is projected to skate with Berkly Catton and Shane Wright on the third line. However, he could soon be part of the top-six group, as McCann has been the Kraken's leading scorer in each of the franchise's first four NHL seasons.

Andre Burakovsky  • LW  •  Blackhawks

Andre Burakovsky a Game-Time Decision Wednesday

Chicago Blackhawks winger Andre Burakovsky (undisclosed) is a game-time decision for Wednesday's tilt against the Minnesota Wild. He has missed two games due to an undisclosed health issue. Burakovsky has become one of Chicago's best players this season, notching 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) in 18 outings. If he returns, Burakovsky is expected to play alongside Connor Bedard and Ryan Greene on the first line and will join the first power-play unit. Burakovsky has been limited to one assist in his last three appearances, but he was red-hot earlier this month, producing four multi-point performances over a seven-game stretch.

Mikko Rantanen  • RW  •  Stars

Mikko Rantanen Returns to Stars Lineup Wednesday

Dallas Stars winger Mikko Rantanen (suspension) will rejoin the lineup on Wednesday against the Seattle Kraken. The Finnish superstar didn't play in Tuesday's win over the Edmonton Oilers due to an automatic suspension he received for having two game misconduct penalties in three contests. Rantanen is poised to land back on the first line, joining Jamie Benn and Wyatt Johnson, who exploded for four points in Tuesday's 8-3 victory. In his last appearance, Rantanen saw a five-game point streak end. The Calgary Flames became only the fourth team this season to keep Rantanen off the score sheet. He has amassed 28 points (10 goals, 18 assists) in 22 outings.

Mark Stone  • RW  •  Golden Knights

Mark Stone Ready to Return Wednesday

Vegas Golden Knights right wing Mark Stone (wrist) will return to action on Wednesday night against the Ottawa Senators. The Golden Knights captain has been on Injured Reserve since Oct. 20 with a wrist injury. Injuries have gone hand in hand with Stone for several years, but he is typically very productive when in the lineup. This season, Stone has recorded 13 points (two goals, 11 assists) in six appearances. He was part of Vegas' red-hot first line at the start of the year but will re-enter the lineup on the third line. However, Stone will be inserted straight back on the power play, replacing Braeden Bowman. The 22-year-old rookie will still have fantasy value, as he will remain on the first line and skate with the second power-play unit.

Josh Norris  • C  •  Sabres

Josh Norris Nearing Return

Buffalo Sabres center Josh Norris (upper body) is expected to rejoin the lineup soon. On Tuesday, Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff ruled Norris out for Wednesday's matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins but hinted that he could be ready to return this weekend. The Sabres have a back-to-back scheduled for Friday and Saturday. Norris has made only one appearance so far this season. Injuries are always a risk with him, but the 26-year-old has been productive when in action. Over 240 career appearances, Norris has averaged almost 0.70 points per game.

Kevin Lankinen  • G  •  Canucks

Kevin Lankinen Not Traveling With Canucks

Vancouver Canucks goaltender Kevin Lankinen (personal) will not travel with the team on a four-game road trip. He is currently away from the team for personal reasons. Lankinen has been Vancouver's de facto starting goaltender recently, posting a 4-7-2 record for the season. The team is currently also without the services of Thatcher Demko (lower body), meaning Nikita Tolopilo and Jiri Patera are set to share the goaltending duties for the time being. The Canucks make their first stop on the road trip Wednesday night, facing the Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center.

Zach Werenski  • D  •  Blue Jackets

Zach Werenski Escapes Serious Injury, May Play Wednesday

Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Zach Werenski (upper body) could remain in the lineup for Wednesday's tilt against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The star blue-liner suffered an upper-body injury in Monday's loss to the Washington Capitals. However, the issue appears to be minor, which is great news for fantasy managers and the Blue Jackets. Only recently, Werenski produced a three-assist performance against the Maple Leafs in a 3-2 overtime win. He has tallied 21 points (seven goals, 14 assists) in 23 games overall, ranking behind only Cale Makar (29) and Josh Morrissey (22) among defensemen in scoring.

Auston Matthews  • C  •  Maple Leafs

Auston Matthews Could Be an Option Wednesday

Toronto Maple Leafs center Auston Matthews (lower body) is close to returning to the lineup and may make his comeback in Wednesday's contest against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Matthews Knies (lower body) and Nicolas Roy (upper body) could also return to give Toronto's attack a big boost. All three players practiced for a second straight day on Tuesday. Matthews has missed five games after getting hurt in a contest against the Boston Bruins on Nov. 11. The Maple Leafs captain has not been at his best in 2025-26, recording nine goals and 14 points in 17 games.

Jason Robertson  • LW  •  Stars

Jason Robertson Scores in Seventh Consecutive Game

Dallas Stars winger Jason Robertson extended his goal streak to seven games and registered two assists as the team dominated against the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday night with an 8-3 victory. Robertson notched all of his points on the power play, establishing a new team record by scoring in a seventh consecutive contest. The Stars forward also tied Washington defenseman Jakob Chychrun for the longest active point streak in the league, which stands at eight games. Robertson's recent form has helped him to become the fifth player this season to reach the 30-point plateau. He has tallied 14 goals and 17 assists in 23 contests.

Wyatt Johnston  • C  •  Stars

Wyatt Johnston Ends Dry Spell With Four-Point Performance

Dallas Stars center Wyatt Johnston finished Tuesday's 8-3 victory over the Edmonton Oilers with one goal and three assists. Prior to Tuesday night, Johnstone had been held off the score sheet in four consecutive games. He posted two points, including his goal, on the power play. Despite his recent cold stretch, Johnston has had a productive campaign, scoring 12 goals and 25 points in 23 outings. He leads the NHL with nine power-play goals. More success with the man advantage could be on the horizon for Johnston, as Dallas' next three opponents include Seattle and Ottawa, two of the worst penalty-killing teams in the league.

Vinnie Hinostroza  • RW  •  Wild

Vinnie Hinostroza to Miss 4-6 Weeks

Minnesota Wild center Vinnie Hinostroza (lower body) will miss 4-6 weeks of action, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports. Last week, he was hurt in a game against the Pittsburgh Penguins and was placed on Injured Reserve on Monday. Hinostroza has recorded five points (two goals, three assists) in 22 appearances this season. The injury bug has bitten the Wild's frontline badly lately, resulting in Danila Yurov taking on the top-line center role. The Russian rookie has handled the added responsibility well, notching four points (one goal, three assists) over the past four games.

Pyotr Kochetkov Dealing With Undisclosed Injury

Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Wednesday's contest against the New York Rangers. The Russian netminder is dealing with an undisclosed injury. Kochetkov holds a 4-0-0 record for the season after missing the first month of action due to a lower-body injury. He has logged a 1.70 goals-against average with a .926 save percentage, posting one shutout. With Frederik Andersen on a four-game losing skid, allowing three-plus goals in each outing, the Hurricanes may elect to go with Brandon Bussi in the crease on Wednesday night.
