Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty suffered a lower-body injury in Wednesday's preseason game against the Vegas Golden Knights. The veteran star couldn't put any weight on his left leg after crashing into the boards early in the game. Kings head coach Jim Hillier didn't have an update on Doughty after the game. Doughty has missed only one regular-season contest across the previous two campaigns, which shows he's generally very durable. Even at 34, he has continued to play a key role at the back for the Kings, leading the blue line with 50 points and sitting second on the team with 142 blocks last season.
