Florida Panthers winger Matthew Tkachuk was a one-man show against Pittsburgh on Tuesday, logging two goals and two assists in a 5-4 overtime loss. With 21 games played, Tkachuk has amassed seven goals and 23 points for the season.

Calgary Flames goaltender Dan Vladar registered his second shutout of the season on Tuesday in a 3-0 win against Columbus. Vladar improved to 5-5-3 for the season. He has allowed 2.66 goals with a .904 save percentage. The Czech netminder continues to share the workload with Dustin Wolf, and both have done well. Nick Suzuki Takes Canadiens Past Islanders
Montreal Canadiens center Nick Suzuki recorded a goal and an assist as the team got back to winning ways on Tuesday with a 2-1 overtime victory against the Islanders. Montreal struggles to win consistently, but Suzuki is in the middle of a big campaign. He's currently riding his second three-game multi-point streak of the season and averages over a point per game, with 10 goals and 16 assists generated in 25 outings.

Adin Hill Keeps Oilers At Bay
Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Adin Hill frustrated Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday night, stopping all 28 efforts that came toward his goal in a 1-0 win. Ivan Barbashev scored the lone goal of the contest in the middle of the first frame. Hill picked up his second shutout of the season. Only Winnipeg's Connor Hellebuyck (three shutouts) has stopped the opposition from scoring more often in 2024-25. The Vegas netminder was quite leaky early in the season but has now allowed two or fewer goals in six of his last seven appearances, improving his goals-against average to 2.67 and save percentage to .900. Hill's record stands at 11-4-2, and he's been particularly successful on home ice, going 7-1-0 at T-Mobile Arena.

Nathan MacKinnon Registers Three Points In Comeback Victory
Colorado Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon potted two goals and recorded an assist in Tuesday's sensational 5-4 comeback victory against Buffalo. The Avalanche became only the eighth team in the past 25 years to win a game in regulation after falling four goals behind. MacKinnon sparked the comeback with his first goal 2:24 into the second period. He tied the game at four with his second tally at the 7:39 mark in the third frame, and the Avalanche superstar completed his three-point night with an assist when Artturi Lehkonen netted the game-winner with less than five minutes to go in regulation. MacKinnon is once again among the league's leading scorers and currently shares the top spot with Minnesota's Kirill Kaprizov and Carolina's Martin Necas. He's had 39 points (nine goals, 30 assists) in 26 appearances.

Rasmus Dahlin Exits Tuesday's Action With Back Spasms
Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin was forced to make an early exit against Colorado on Tuesday due to back spasms. The issue is related to an injury he was dealing with during the preseason. Dahlin is a massive presence in the Sabres defense, gobbling up nearly 25 minutes of ice time each night. He's third on the team with 19 points (six goals, 13 assists) and has racked up 36 blocks and 26 hits in 25 appearances. The entire blue line will need to step up if Dahlin has to miss additional time. Buffalo returns to action on Thursday night against Winnipeg.

He's recorded one goal and one assist with three shots and 10 hits in the past four games.

Los Angeles Kings center Trevor Lewis (lower body) will be out of commission for 4-6 weeks. The veteran forward suffered a lower-body injury at the weekend against Ottawa. Lewis has contributed three goals and four assists in limited minutes across 25 appearances. He sits third on the team with 46 hits. Andre Lee has been recalled from the minors and appears poised to replace Lewis in the lineup on Wednesday versus Dallas. Lee also boasts plenty of hits (34 in 16 games) but is limited offensively. He has zero goals and two assists for the campaign.

Filip Hronek To Miss Eight Weeks Of Action
Vancouver Canucks defenseman Filip Hronek (lower body) has been ruled out for eight weeks. He dropped out of the lineup a couple of games ago with an upper-body problem and has now undergone a procedure on a lower-body injury. Hronek has enjoyed a good campaign as part of Vancouver's first defensive pairing, posting nine points (one goal, eight assists) with 21 blocks, 36 hits, and a plus-14 rating. Noah Juulsen has taken over his role, while Vincent Desharnais has rejoined the lineup on the bottom pairing. Losing his regular partner hasn't stopped Quinn Hughes, as he's bagged five points in the two games Hronek has missed.

Andre Burakovsky and Daniel Sprong will be scratched for Tuesday's action. Burakovsky went scoreless in 11 of 14 appearances last month and hasn't done much all season, posting nine points (one goal, eight assists) in 25 games. Ryker Evans Unavailable On Tuesday
Seattle Kraken defenseman Ryker Evans (hand) will miss his first game of the season on Tuesday against Carolina. He exits the lineup after hurting his right hand while blocking a shot in Saturday's 4-2 loss to San Jose. It's been a good campaign for Evans, who is tied for second in scoring on the team with 16 points (three goals, 13 assists) in 25 games. Jamie Oleksiak replaces Evans on the second defensive pairing on Tuesday, with Josh Mahura re-entering the lineup. Both players are limited offensively, but Oleksiak has provided plenty of blocks for fantasy managers, leading the Kraken with 53 blocks in 25 games.

Pyotr Kochetkov Back In Hurricanes Crease Tuesday
Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov (concussion) will return to action on Tuesday against Seattle. He's missed four games after suffering a concussion. Kochetkov has worked as Carolina's No. 1 for most of the campaign due to Frederik Andersen's (knee) absence. He's sporting a very impressive 10-2-0 record and has registered a 2.42 goals-against average with a .904 save percentage. Kochetkov might be a bit rusty in his return, but he faces a team that's on a three-game losing streak and has won just four of 11 road games.

Patrik Laine Makes Canadiens Debut Tuesday
Montreal Canadiens winger Patrik Laine (knee) will make his first appearance of the season on Tuesday against the Islanders. Laine's debut for the Canadiens has been delayed because of a knee injury he sustained during preseason play. The Finnish forward will start life in Montreal as a member of the second line, skating with Kirby Dach and Juraj Slafkovsky. Considering he hasn't played at all this season and was limited to only 18 outings last term, Laine is somewhat of an unknown quantity. But he's previously had plenty of success in the league, scoring 204 goals and bagging 388 points in 480 career games.

Sergei Bobrovsky Unavailable On Tuesday
Florida Panthers goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky (personal) will not suit up for Tuesday's meeting with Pittsburgh. He has not traveled with the team to the game, as Bobrovsky and his wife are expecting a child. The former Vezina Trophy winner has looked shaky at times, logging a 3.04 goals-against average with a .890 save percentage, but he still carries a solid 11-5-1 record. Spencer Knight is expected to fill in for Bobrovsky on Tuesday, with Chris Driedger called up from the minors to dress as the backup. Knight's work has been more efficient in 2024-25 compared to Bobrovsky, as he has allowed 2.31 goals with a .911 save percentage. However, the 23-year-old has a mediocre 4-4-0 record. He impressed with a shutout performance against Carolina in his last start, but Knight hasn't yet won back-to-back starts this season.

Alex Ovechkin Skates For The First Time Since Fracturing Leg
Washington Capitals winger Alex Ovechkin (lower leg) was back on the ice Monday. He had a light skate two weeks after fracturing his left fibula. The Russian superstar is expected to be out for 4-6 weeks, and it looks like his rehab is going well. Tuesday's clash with San Jose will mark the seventh straight game without Ovechkin for the Capitals. They have done fine without him so far, going 4-2-0. Ovechkin exited the lineup as the league's leading goal-scorer, having lit the lamp 15 times in 18 games. He's 27 goals short of surpassing Wayne Gretzky's all-time record. Tom Wilson and Connor McMichael have stepped into top-line roles during Ovechkin's absence, giving them additional fantasy value.

With Matias Maccelli and Nick Bjugstad setting him up, Schmaltz made it a one-goal game at 6:57 in the third period, but Utah couldn't generate any more goals. Schmaltz recorded all of his first 17 points of the season via assists but has now scored three goals in two games. He skates on the top line with Barrett Hayton and Utah's top scorer, Clayton Keller, who boasts 22 points (seven goals, 15 assists) through 25 games. The trio gets to do damage next in a back-to-back set over the weekend as Utah faces Buffalo and Philadelphia, two teams that can be fragile defensively.

A couple of tough matchups are now coming up for Benn and the Stars as they visit Los Angeles and Vegas.

Jesper Bratt Racks Up Four Points Against Rangers
New Jersey Devils winger Jesper Bratt amassed four points as the team secured a dominant 5-1 victory on Monday against the Rangers. The Swedish forward scored the game's opening goal and dished out three assists, two on the power play. Bratt matched his career high with the four-point effort. Following a bit of a quiet stretch, during which Bratt went pointless in three of five outings, he has registered two goals and five assists in his past three appearances. His offensive haul of 35 points (12 goals, 23 assists) in 28 games makes Bratt New Jersey's leading scorer, and he has only four players ahead of him on the league's scoring charts.

Mitchell Marner Collects Two Assists Versus Blackhawks
Toronto Maple Leafs right wing Mitch Marner recorded two assists in Monday's 4-1 victory against Chicago. He was among the helpers on John Tavares's game-winning goal and picked up another assist on Matthew Knies' empty-netter. Incredibly, this was Marner's ninth multi-point outing in his past 11 appearances. He's been the Maple Leafs' biggest offensive threat this season, sitting tied for fifth in the league with 24 assists and collecting 33 points overall in 24 games. Barring any health issues, we should see Marner hit the 100-point mark for the first time in his career.
