James Tibbs III Falling Off Stash Radar Amid Lengthy Triple-A Skid

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect James Tibbs III has seen his production dip at Triple-A Oklahoma City and is falling off the stash radar as the All-Star break approaches. Over his last 17 contests at Triple-A, the 23-year-old has posted an underwhelming .220/.360/.322 line with a low .622 OPS. During this stretch, Tibbs hit just one home run. However, over his first 69 Triple-A contests, Tibbs was among the highest-performing hitters at the level. During this part of the early season, the No. 96-ranked prospect on MLB.com, Tibbs, has carried a much higher .297/.412/.602 line, 20 home runs, and a 1.014 OPS. While this recent skid has pushed him off the stash radar, those in deeper 15-team leagues should continue to monitor his progress, as he could still play a role in the majors down the stretch.

Is James Tibbs III Worth Stashing Amid Slowdown at Triple-A?

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect James Tibbs III has cooled over the past week, going just 3-for-19 (.158) over the last six games at Triple-A Oklahoma City. It has been a season of ebbs and flows for the Dodgers' ninth-ranked prospect, so this could be the calm before the red-hot resurgence. For the season, the left-handed slugger is hitting a solid .286 despite a 25.4 percent strikeout rate, and has recorded a strong .406 on-base percentage thanks to a 16.8 percent walk rate (88th percentile) with a .385 xwOBA (94th percentile). There is plenty of power, as evidenced by average exit velocity, barrel, and hard-hit rates that register 91st percentile or better, which has resulted in 42 extra-base hits (21 home runs) and 70 RBI through 83 games. It seems he's done enough to earn a debut this season, and that could come in the next month or so. With the potential to be hitting in the league's second-best run-producing offense (5.34 runs/game), the 23-year-old should be viewed as a solid stash option in deeper 12-team leagues.

James Tibbs III No Longer on the Stash Radar Amid Triple-A Skid?

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect James Tibbs III has had a brief stint at Triple-A Oklahoma City and has seen his fantasy value as a stash candidate drop. Over his last 14 contests with the Comets, the outfielder has posted a much lower .208/.365/.375 line with just two long balls. However, over his previous 21 games, the No .10-ranked prospect in the Dodger system carried a much higher .269/.400/.603 line with a stellar 1.003 OPS, two doubles, and an eye-catching eight long balls. Overall, the 23-year-old Florida State product has held his own at Triple-A this season, carrying a .285/.407/.563 slash line with a .970 OPS and 21 long balls. However, with Teoscar Hernandez back in action, Tibbs no longer has an immediate path to join the MLB roster. For now, given his slump and lack of a clear path to at-bats, Tibbs enters Week 14 as a mid-range stash candidate for those in deeper 12+ team leagues.

James Tibbs III Remains a Priority Stash Despite Unclear Path to the Majors

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect James Tibbs III has done plenty to earn a promotion at Triple-A Oklahoma City. The 23-year-old is batting .289/.413/.571 with 21 home runs, 68 RBI, 70 runs, and three stolen bases across 301 at-bats. His power has held up over a full first half, while the strong on-base percentage gives him more fantasy appeal than a one-dimensional slugger. The problem is finding him regular at-bats in Los Angeles. RotoBaller ranks Tibbs 13th among its current redraft prospect stashes and now projects an August arrival so that managers may need patience. His Yahoo roster rate is 5%, making him widely available in leagues. Tibbs is worth stashing in leagues with an NA spot or deep-league formats, especially those using five outfielders. Shallower mixed leagues can wait for a clearer path to promotion.

James Tibbs III Remains High-End Stash for Home Run Potential

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect James Tibbs III is producing eye-popping numbers this season at Triple-A Oklahoma City. The outfielder has 20 homers and 64 RBI while hitting .291 with 66 runs scored. The 23-year-old is doing everything he can to prove that he is worthy of a call-up, but that is tough on a loaded Dodgers major league roster, competing with the likes of Andy Pages, Kyle Tucker, Alex Call, and Ryan Ward in their current outfield. Tibbs was a first-round pick of the San Francisco Giants in 2024 (No. 13 overall) and was moved to the Boston Red Sox in the trade that sent Rafael Devers to San Francisco. The Dodgers then acquired Tibbs in a trade with Boston, and he has put up very good numbers in the minor leagues since. He makes for a solid stash for fantasy managers in deep leagues that have five-outfielder spots, given the high-end power upside he has flashed at Triple-A. However, the crowded Dodger outfield does limit his appeal in shallower formats.

James Tibbs III on the Verge of MLB Debut After Latest Injured Outfielder?

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect James Tibbs III has gone somewhat cold as of late, hitting just .133 (4-for-30) over his last nine games. Despite the slowdown, it's worth noting that three of his four hits during this time have gone for extra bases (one double, two home runs) and the left-handed hitter has still been able to get on base at a .381 clip, thanks to more walks (12) than strikeouts (10) over that span. For the season, the Dodgers' 10th-ranked prospect is hitting .291 with a 1.000 OPS and 20 home runs. The former first-rounder's strikeout rate is on the high side at 26.0 percent, but he owns a strong 17.0 percent walk rate, and his 20 home runs are the second-most at Triple-A. Kyle Tucker (back) exited Monday's game with back spasms, and if it causes him to miss time, this could finally be Tibbs' moment. Either way, the 23-year-old should make his debut at some point this season, and is one of the top bats to stash for his power and RBI potential.

James Tibbs III Slugging His Way to Major-League Promotion

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect James Tibbs III has been among the top power hitters at the Triple-A level this season and is making a strong case to join the MLB roster in the immediate future. On Thursday, Tibbs launched his 20th long ball of the campaign when he went 1-for-5 against Sacramento. Through 69 total games with Oklahoma City this season, the 23-year-old has held a .297/.413/.602 line with a dominant 1.015 OPS. This is even more impressive as Tibbs did not log a single bat at the Triple-A level prior to the 2026 campaign. Currently, the Dodgers have turned to fellow prospect Ryan Ward to replace the injured Teoscar Hernandez on the MLB roster. However, given Tibbs' current play and much higher upside, they could turn to the Florida State product to add a spark to their lineup. His path to at-bats and elite raw power upside makes him a top stash target among hitting prospects.

Is James Tibbs III Nearing an MLB Debut?

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect James Tibbs III reached base six times between Saturday and Sunday, thanks to two hits (double, home run) and four walks (zero strikeouts). The Dodgers' 10th-ranked prospect hasn't had a multi-hit performance through 12 games in June, but has still recorded a robust .400 OBP thanks to a 21.8 percent walk rate this month. For the season, the left-handed slugger is slashing .307/.422/.614 and is among the Triple-A leaders in home runs (19, first), runs (62, first), RBI (59, third), and walks (49, second). He's also among the leaders in strikeouts (79, seventh), but given his ability to still hit for average, hit for power, and get on base, the high strikeout rate is something that can be tolerated. Unfortunately, he is not on the 40-man roster, and there are no current openings on the major league squad with recently-promoted Ryan Ward doing enough at the plate to hold off Tibbs for now. Nevertheless, Tibbs should debut in the coming weeks, and with his offensive prowess, the 23-year-old is worthy of stashing in most leagues as he'll be able to show off his skills while hitting in a potent Dodger lineup whenever he gets the call.

James Tibbs III Still a Top Stash Among Fantasy Baseball Prospects

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder James Tibbs III continues to put together a phenomenal season. His video game numbers would be worthy of a call-up in the other 29 organizations, but the Dodgers' depth in the majors has allowed them to be patient with his development and leave him in Triple-A for now. Sooner rather than later, though, he'll force their hand and become an immediate contributor in the majors. At Triple-A this year, he's slashing .310/.420/.612 with a whopping 18 home runs, a 15.4% walk rate, and a 26.3% strikeout rate. Although he's chasing a little more than we'd like (21.91% chase rate), we can't ignore the fact that he has either walked or homered in 21.5% of his plate appearances. Tibbs projects as a mid-summer call-up, and there will inevitably be a mad scramble to pick him up off waivers when that happens. Wise fantasy managers should get ahead of the rush and stash him now, before it's too late. We've already seen a small surge in the hype for Tibbs, as his fantasy roster share has reached 3%.

James Tibbs III Continues to Make Case for a Call-Up, but When Will That Be?

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect James Tibbs III reached base three times in his latest contest, collecting a hit and two walks, which is what he's done for most of the season. The Dodgers' 10th-ranked prospect is hitting .313 with a phenomenal .424 on-base percentage thanks to a strong 15.6 percent walk rate. Not only that, the former first-rounder has clubbed 16 doubles, two triples, and 18 home runs en route to a .621 slugging percentage, which is seventh-best in all the minors for players with at least 200 plate appearances, while his 60 runs scored and 55 RBI are both top 10 totals. The 23-year-old has done enough to earn a promotion to the big leagues, he just needs a spot to open up on the major league roster, and then he should get his shot. Look for that to happen in the coming weeks, and with his powerful bat in the second-best run-producing lineup in baseball (5.37 runs/game), there's good reason to stash the left-handed slugger in most fantasy leagues.
