Four-Hit Night Reminds Managers to Stash James Tibbs III

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect James Tibbs III continues to hit the ball incredibly well. He went 4-for-5 with two doubles and three RBI on Wednesday night, bringing his season slash line up to .307/.402/.650. He has also launched 11 homers and brought his wRC+ up to 161. This isn't the first time there's been significant buzz about Tibbs, and it also won't be the last. He's a legitimate top-tier prospect with the potential to be a superstar in the majors. If this were any other organization, Tibbs would probably already be called up. However, the Dodgers have so much star power that they can afford to let Tibbs spend even more time developing as an everyday piece in Triple-A, rather than calling him up to the majors, where he might not get into the lineup daily. When the time does come for him to make his MLB debut, though, he'll already be rostered in most fantasy leagues. Fantasy managers should get ahead of the surge and stash him now, before it's too late.

James Tibbs III Still Holding High-End Stash Value

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect James Tibbs III has continued to swing a hot bat at Triple-A and is making a strong case to join the MLB roster. Through 27 games with Triple-A Oklahoma City, Tibbs has posted an impressive .291/.408/.699 slash line with seven doubles, 11 home runs, and a stolen base. During this stint, Tibbs has struck out 37 times but has drawn 20 walks. This production is even more notable, as Tibbs spent the 2025 campaign in High-A and Double-A, and this current stint is his first time facing Triple-A pitching. Through 123 games last season, Tibbs posted a much lower .243/.373/.429 slash line with 17 doubles, 20 home runs, and 10 stolen bases. While the Dodger outfield does not have a path for Tibbs to see every day at-bats, he is establishing himself as the clear option following an injury. Given his high-end power upside, Tibbs is a strong stash option for those in 12-team formats with N/A spots.

James Tibbs III Heating Up Again at Triple-A, Nearing MLB Debut?

After a 3-for-33 (.091) cold spell, Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect James Tibbs III is heating up again at Triple-A Oklahoma City. The former first-round draft pick has hit safely in five of his last six contests, tallying three doubles and two home runs over that stretch. The left-handed hitter is batting .293 with a 1.106 OPS and a minor-league-leading 10 home runs through 23 games. The strikeout rate remains elevated (29.6 percent), already recording three games with four strikeouts, but with his power stroke, the 23-year-old has put himself on the fantasy radar. He'll likely debut at some point this season, so fantasy managers should continue to monitor his performance at Triple-A. Should one of the big league regulars get bitten by the injury bug, Tibbs could be in the majors in a heartbeat.

James Tibbs III Remains Elite Stash Option Among Hitting Prospects

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect James Tibbs III continues to hold high-end stash upside among hitting prospects. Tibbs is enjoying a dominant start to his 2026 season at Triple-A Oklahoma City and is making a strong case to join the two-time reigning World Series Champions. Through his first 22 games with the Comets, Tibbs has posted a .292/.385/.697 slash line with seven doubles, nine home runs, and a 32:12 K:BB. He has posted a 1.082 OPS. Last summer, Tibbs spent most of his time at the Double-A level, carrying a .240/.367/.388 line. Even though this is Tibbs' first time facing Triple-A pitching, the young outfielder has looked quite comfortable and is off to the best start of his minor league career. While the Dodgers' outfield is crowded, any injury would pave the way for Tibbs to see immediate at-bats in the game's most potent lineup.

James Tibbs III Shedding Stash Status During Cold Spell

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect James Tibbs III has cooled considerably since his white-hot start to the season, going just 3-for-33 (.091) with an ugly 41.5 percent strikeout rate over his last nine games. He was never going to stay on the pace he was before that (.514 AVG, 12 extra-base hits, including seven home runs in eight games), but it appears to have gone from one extreme to another. On the plus side, the Dodgers' 10th-ranked prospect has continued to get on base via the walk, collecting seven of them in this recent nine-game skid and recording a strong 13.8 percent walk rate for the season. Hopefully the former 13th-overall draft pick can get going again soon, but for now, the shine has worn off his status as a top offensive stash option in fantasy leagues. The 23-year-old will likely make his MLB debut at some point this season, but with a healthy outfield on the big league club and the left-handed slugger clearly needing some additional seasoning at Triple-A, he does not appear to be on the verge of a call-up.

James Tibbs III Emerging as Top Hitter to Stash

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect James Tibbs III continues to dominate at the Triple-A level and is quickly entering must-stash territory. Even though the Dodgers' outfield is filled at the moment, Tibbs has looked more than comfortable at Triple-A Oklahoma City to begin the regular season. Through 15 games, the former 13th overall pick has posted an incredible .356/.457/.864 line with four doubles, one triple, eight home runs, and a 19:10 K:BB. This is even more impressive to note as Tibbs did not participate in a single Triple-A game prior to the 2026 campaign. In 2025, Tibbs spent most of his time with Double-A (Portland and Tulsa) and held an overall .240/.367/.388 line with a .755 OPS. Even though there is no clear opening for the Florida State product at the moment, his incredible power upside has pushed him into high-end stash territory for those in 12+ team formats.

James Tibbs III Emerging as High-End Bat in Dodgers System

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect James Tibbs III is off to a great start to the 2026 campaign at Triple-A Oklahoma City, going 8-for-13 (.615) with six of his eight hits going for extra bases (three doubles, one triple, two home runs). The Dodgers' 11th-ranked prospect looked good in the Cactus League as well, hitting .313 with four home runs, and could be setting himself up for a debut in the big leagues this year. The left-handed slugger was passed around from San Francisco to Boston to Los Angeles last year as a trade chip, but perhaps is starting to emerge as a high-end bat in a loaded Dodgers farm system. The former 13th-overall draft pick hit 20 home runs in all last year across 123 games with a slightly better-than-average strikeout rate of 21.4 percent and a strong walk rate of 16.0 percent while adding 10 steals. The 23-year-old is a player to keep an eye on in both dynasty and redraft formats.

James Tibbs III Goes 4-for-4 With Two Homers on Wednesday

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect James Tibbs III had a day to remember, as he went 4-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI against Double-A Corpus Christi. The lefty outfielder has been involved in two trades this season, with the first being the Rafael Devers deal, and he recently dealt to Los Angeles in the Dustin May deal at the July 31 deadline. He is making a strong first impression with his new team in the early going. Tibbs began the year at High-A with the Giants and has been moved to Double-A with his new clubs and is slashing .237/.363/.417 with 15 homers and five steals across the two levels. He projects as a strong-side platoon bat in the future by scouts and is in a favorable player development system with the Dodgers.

James Tibbs III Traded to Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired outfield prospect James Tibbs III and Zach Ehrhard from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for right-handed pitcher Dustin May. Despite only being drafted with the 13th overall pick in last year's MLB Draft, Tibbs has already been included in two trades this season. Earlier in the summer, Tibbs was one of the pieces that San Francisco sent to Boston in exchange for third baseman Rafael Devers. Now, Tibbs will move to his third MLB team. The Florida State product was ranked as the No. 5 prospect in the system before the trade. He opened the season with High-A but was moved to Double-A once acquired by Boston. Through 30 games with Double-A Portland, Tibbs has held a .207/.319/.267 line. Fantasy managers should expect Tibbs to remain with Double-A through the remainder of the second half.

James Tibbs III Performing Well at Double-A

Boston Red Sox outfield prospect James Tibbs III has been performing quite well during his first taste of Double-A action. On Thursday, Tibbs posted his first two-hit game at the level. During their game against Akron, Tibbs went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double, two RBI, and a walk. Through three games with Double-A Portland, Tibbs has gone 3-for-11 (.273) and held a .385 OBP. Tibbs was the top prospect included in the package that sent third baseman Rafael Devers to San Francisco. Tibbs began the season with San Francisco's High-A affiliate. Across 57 games, the former 13th overall pick posted a .246/.379/.478 line with 10 doubles, 12 home runs, three stolen bases, and an impressive 45:42 K:BB. The 22-year-old will likely spend the remainder of the season at the Double-A level.
