Nelson Agholor Inactive For The Christmas Game Versus Texans

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Nelson Agholor (concussion) is officially inactive for Wednesday's game against the Houston Texans. Agholor was placed in concussion protocol on December 15th and still hasn't been cleared heading into the Christmas game. The 31-year-old will miss his second consecutive game. Agholor has caught 14 passes for 231 yards and four touchdowns over 14 games in 2024. Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, Tylan Wallace, and Devontez Walker will lead Baltimore's wide receiver crew against Houston. Wallace should see an uptick in targets with Agholor out but is not on the fantasy radar with Flowers active for Wednesday's contest.

Zay Flowers Officially Active, A Low-End WR2 For Christmas Game Against Texans

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers (shoulder) is officially active for the Christmas game against the Houston Texans. Flowers was initially listed as questionable, heading into Wednesday's contest after logging a limited practice on Tuesday. The 24-year-old will suit up after dealing with a shoulder injury during the week. Flowers caught five of eight targets for 100 yards in Week 16's 34-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Overall, he has been excellent for the Ravens this season, catching 71 passes for 1,016 yards and four touchdowns over 15 games in 2024. Fantasy managers can safely start Flowers as a low-end WR2 for the fantasy championships. Flowers is the 25th-ranked wideout in the latest RotoBaller rankings and can be started in all leagues.

Jason Myers  • K  •  Seahawks

Jason Myers A Solid Kicker In Week 17

Seattle Seahawks kicker Jason Myers is a solid option in Week 17 against the Chicago Bears. The Seahawks should be in plenty of great positions to score this week. In Week 16 against the Minnesota Vikings, Myers missed his first field goal since Week 5. That came on a 60-yard attempt. Myers has been primarily reliable when given the chance. The Seahawks should not have any issues moving the ball against the Bears on Thursday. That should give Myers plenty of chances to kick field goals and extra points. With the Seahawks in desperation mode, they will likely be aggressive on offense. Look for Myers to push for double-digit fantasy points this week. He could be a key piece to your championship lineup.

Geno Smith  • QB  •  Seahawks

Geno Smith A QB2 In Week 17

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith checks in as a QB2 in Week 17 against the Chicago Bears. Smith has a chance to put up solid numbers against a Bears defense that just got torched by Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions. The Bears have not played particularly well over the second half of the season given the turmoil in the organization and the multiple coaching changes. The Seahawks must win on Thursday to keep their playoff hopes alive. The offense should be aggressive both on the ground and through the air as a result. Smith should reach 200 yards passing without issue. The question is whether the touchdowns will flow for him. He has only thrown multiple touchdowns in a game on three occasions this year. That has limited him to the QB2 range despite being third in the league in passing yards. He is a great option for two-quarterback leagues, but he should remain on benches in leagues that only start a single quarterback.

DK Metcalf  • WR  •  Seahawks

DK Metcalf May Be Touchdown-Dependent In Week 17

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf has been a difficult fantasy asset to trust lately. In Week 16 against the Minnesota Vikings, Metcalf scored his first touchdown since Week 7. His target volume has been solid lately, but his production has not flowed. The Seahawks face the Chicago Bears in Week 17. The Bears have not been a scary matchup for opposing passing games in recent weeks. Still, Metcalf is a risky play. His catch rate of 60% is primarily contributing to his poor production. His downfield targets are a high-risk, high-reward. Additionally, the emergence of Jaxon Smith-Njigba as a true No. 1 wide receiver in the offense is not helping Metcalf's case. The Seahawks are in desperation mode and must win on Thursday to have any chance of advancing to the playoffs. As such, expect them to be aggressive offensively. That could play to Metcalf's advantage. He checks in as a high-end flex play with upside this week.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba Ready To Deliver WR1 Numbers

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba is in another great position to succeed in Week 17. The Seahawks will travel to Chicago to face the Bears this week. The Bears started the season as one of the best passing defenses, but they have faltered lately. This matchup is a lot better than the raw numbers would suggest. JSN has been a target hog for several weeks and that should not change in a must-win game for the Seahawks. Smith-Njigba has racked up 1,089 receiving yards and six touchdowns this season. He has scored 18.3 or more PPR fantasy points in six of his last seven games. He is on a complete tear and should be a valuable addition to championship lineups this week.

Troy Franklin  • WR  •  Broncos

Troy Franklin Goes Through Full Practice Session

Denver Broncos wide receiver Troy Franklin (ankle) was able to get through a full practice session on Tuesday. Franklin popped up on the injury report to begin the week, but the fact he was a full participant on Tuesday suggests that he'll be fine for the Week 17 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Franklin hauled in two of his three targets for 25 yards during last week's loss. The rookie wideout hasn't finished with more than two receptions in a single game since Week 7. That being said, Franklin won't be an ideal streaming option for Saturday's game against the Bengals.

JaMycal Hasty  • RB  •  Patriots

Jamycal Hasty Practices In Full

New England Patriots running back JaMycal Hasty (ankle) was a full participant during Tuesday's practice session. This is good news after Hasty was forced to miss last week's loss to the Buffalo Bills due to an ankle injury. The 28-year-old as mainly been used as the third-down back while also operating as the primary kick returner. His status won't make a difference for fantasy purposes, but having Hasty out there would be a benefit to the Pats special teams unit ahead of Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Noah Fant  • TE  •  Seahawks

Noah Fant Goes Through Full Practice Session

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) was a full participant during Tuesday's practice session. That is good news after Fant was limited during Monday's walkthrough. It sounds like Fant should be ready to go for Thursday's game against the Chicago Bears. Fant has been dealing with a lingering knee issue for weeks, but has suited up in each of the last four games. Over that span, Fant has 12 receptions for 109 yards, which means he'll be a low-end TE2 for Week 17.

Kenneth Walker III  • RB  •  Seahawks

Kenneth Walker III Misses Another Practice

Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III (ankle) was not able to suit up for Tuesday's practice session. This marks back-to-back missed practice sessions for Walker after he suffered an ankle injury during last week's loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The fact Walker is still missing practice is not a good sign ahead of Thursday's game against the Chicago Bears. If Walker sits, Zach Charbonnet (elbow) would become the lead back and would be a solid RB2 for fantasy purposes. Fantasy managers will have to check back on Wednesday for another update on his status.

Zach Charbonnet  • RB  •  Seahawks

Zach Charbonnet Gets In Full Practice Session

Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet (elbow) was a full participant during Tuesday's practice session. This is good news after Charbonnet was listed as limited to begin the week. It appears Charbonnet is trending in the right direction ahead of Thursday's game against the Chicago Bears. The 23-year-old has seen more activity lately, but that could be because fellow back Kenneth Walker III (ankle) is still banged up. Walker missed Tuesday's practice after suffering an ankle injury during last week's loss to the Minnesota Vikings. If Walker sits, Charbonnet would be a strong RB2 for Thursday's game.

Hayden Hurst  • TE  •  Chargers  |  Will Dissly  • TE  •  Chargers

Will Dissly And Hayden Hurst Have Practice Reps Capped On Tuesday

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Will Dissly (shoulder) was limited in practice on Tuesday. Additionally, tight end Hayden Hurst (illness) did not practice on Tuesday. Dissly has missed two straight games with the injury so his return to practice at this point in the week is encouraging. Dissly is not very fantasy-relevant on his own, but he is an important offensive piece for the Chargers, especially quarterback Justin Herbert. Hurst was the No. 1 tight end for the Chargers in Week 16 in Dissly's absence. However, Hurst was returning from a hip injury that had sidelined him since Week 11. As such, he only received one target which resulted in one catch for eight yards. Hurst's absence with an illness is not concerning at this point in the week but it is worth monitoring as the week wears on. Neither player is on the fantasy radar this week, but both are important for the prospects of Herbert's fantasy play. Hopefully, both tight ends will be able to take the field together for the first time since Week 10.

Gus Edwards  • RB  •  Chargers  |  J.K. Dobbins  • RB  •  Chargers

J.K. Dobbins And Gus Edwards Both Limited On Tuesday

Los Angeles Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins (knee) was limited in practice on Tuesday. Dobbins' running mate Gus Edwards (ankle) was also limited. Dobbins has been on injured reserve since Week 12 with his injury. He had been putting together a nice bounce back season with 766 rushing yards and eight touchdowns in 11 games. The Chargers need Dobbins for the last bit of their playoff push. Edwards has been the main rusher in Dobbins' absence. He has racked up 365 rushing yards and four touchdowns this season. He is coming off his best game of the season in which he ran for 68 yards and two touchdowns against the Denver Broncos in Week 16. The Chargers will face the New England Patriots in Week 16. The matchup is great for running backs. It seems likely that both players will be active. Given that Dobbins is coming off a long-term injury, it will be difficult to trust either player in fantasy this week. For now, fantasy managers should monitor the situation and see how practice reps evolve over the course of this week.

Jaleel McLaughlin  • RB  •  Broncos

Jaleel McLaughlin Returns To Practice For Broncos

Denver Broncos running back Jaleel McLaughlin (quadricep) was limited in practice on Tuesday. McLaughlin missed Denver's Week 16 game against the Los Angeles Chargers with the injury. His return to practice this early in the week suggests that McLaughlin has a good chance of being available when the Broncos travel to Cincinnati this weekend. McLaughlin is part of a robust running back committee that includes Javonte Williams, Audric Estime, and Tyler Badie (back). McLaughlin has had a few solid games this season en route to 388 rushing yards and a touchdown. However, despite a great matchup in Week 17, McLaughlin is not much of a fantasy option. There simply is no way to know which Broncos running back will receive the majority of the workload on a week-to-week basis. Leave McLaughlin on the waiver wire for fantasy championship weekend.

Matt Prater  • K  •  Cardinals

Matt Prater Limited In Practice Tuesday

Arizona Cardinals kicker Matt Prater (left knee) was limited in practice on Tuesday. Prater was recently designated to return from injured reserve and has been practicing in his 21-day window for the past week. Prater has not played since Week 4, so it is no surprise that the Cardinals are easing the 40-year-old back into action. Prater is one of the better kickers in NFL history. Before his injury, he had not missed a kick this season. However, if he were to be activated ahead of Week 17 against the Los Angeles Rams, he would be a risky play in fantasy. The Cardinals offense can be inconsistent at times, and Prater may need to shake off some rust. Even so, it is good to see Prater progressing from his injury.

James Conner  • RB  •  Cardinals  |  Trey Benson  • RB  •  Cardinals

James Conner And Trey Benson Limited Tuesday

Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner (knee) was limited at practice on Tuesday. Rookie running back Trey Benson (ankle) was also limited. Conner picked up his injury in Week 16 against the Carolina Panthers. There has been much speculation as to whether or not Conner would be able to play in Week 17, especially since the Cardinals have been eliminated from playoff contention. Conner's participation in practice in any capacity on Tuesday is a very encouraging sign for his availability this weekend. Benson missed Week 16 with his ankle injury. His availability on Sunday would be a great sight for depth behind Conner or for Benson's standalone value. Conner has been on fire lately. He has rushed for 90 or more yards and scored a touchdown in three straight games. Fantasy managers have been riding Conner all the way to championship weekend as a result. Conner has rushed for his second 1,000-yard season in 2024. He has also caught 45 passes for 410 yards. If Conner is active this weekend, he should pick up where he left off in Week 16 when the Cardinals face the Los Angeles Rams.

Tee Higgins  • WR  •  Bengals

Tee Higgins Limited In Tuesday's Practice

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins (ankle/knee) was limited to kick-off Week 17 preparation. Higgins often receives rest for various ailments throughout the season. However, he has not been listed with an ankle injury recently. That suggests that he picked up the ankle issue on Sunday, but the fact that he practiced in any capacity is encouraging. Higgins has put together a strong stretch of games recently. He has scored in four of his past five games and is receiving solid target volume. Higgins is having a solid season all-around with 727 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in 10 games. The seven touchdowns match Higgins' career high. The Bengals will face a tough defense when they host the Denver Broncos in Week 17. However, matchups do not seem to matter with the way quarterback Joe Burrow is currently playing. Additionally, Higgins' ankle injury is worth keeping an eye on as the week progresses, but it is relatively unconcerning for now.

Joe Burrow  • QB  •  Bengals

Joe Burrow Limited On Tuesday

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (right wrist/knee) was limited in practice on Tuesday. Burrow has been on the injury report with the wrist injury throughout the season. He has also been limited with the knee injury for the past several weeks. As such, his limited participation on Tuesday is not concerning. Burrow is amid one of the best stretches of his career. He has thrown for three or more touchdown passes in every game since Week 9. He has also not thrown for less than 251 passing yards since Week 8. He has racked up 4,229 passing yards and 39 touchdowns in 15 games this season. He is the reason why many fantasy managers are in their championship games. The Bengals face a tough matchup with the Denver Broncos in Week 17. However, this team has been unstoppable lately and they are playing for their playoff lives. A win this weekend would go a long way toward their playoff hopes.

Tyler Badie  • RB  •  Broncos

Broncos Open Tyler Badie's Practice Window

The Denver Broncos have opened the 21-day practice window for running back Tyler Badie (back) to return from Injured Reserve after he collapsed on the sideline after suffering a back injury in the Week 4 win over the New York Jets. It means that Badie will be back at practice with the team this week, but it won't guarantee that he'll be active this Saturday in a big game on the road in Cincinnati against the Bengals. The 24-year-old had to be carted off the field back in Week 4 but has now recovered from his back injury and is ready to get back onto the practice field. When healthy, he'll be buried on the Broncos' RB depth chart behind Javonte Williams, Jaleel McLaughlin (quadriceps) and rookie Audric Estime, putting him well off the fantasy radar. In three games this year, Badie had only 11 carries for 86 yards while catching three passes for minus-two yards.

Tank Dell  • WR  •  Texans

Tank Dell Could Miss 2025 Season

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (knee) tore his MCL, LCL and ACL in the Week 16 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday and also dislocated his knee and suffered meniscus damage. He has a long road of recovery ahead of him that will require multiple surgeries. "It would be great if he could participate at some point next season, but it's far from guaranteed he will play at any point next season. It's similar to what happened with Browns running back Nick Chubb. They're both knee dislocations, but not all knee dislocations are the same. This is a much more complicated surgery process," Dr. David Chao said. It's the second straight year that Dell's season has been cut short due to a serious leg injury. However, this one is much more serious and will affect his long-term fantasy value heading into 2025. Despite playing three more games in 2024, Dell wasn't as productive as he was in his rookie campaign, catching 51 of 81 targets for 667 yards and three touchdowns in 14 games.
