Denver Broncos running back Tyler Badie (back) has been placed on the injured reserve prior to the Week 5 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. Badie went down with a back injury during last week's game. It appears the injury is somewhat significant considering the team has placed him on the IR, so Badie will miss at least the next four games. The young back hasn't done a ton this season outside of his 70-yard performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin figure to split up the workload in the backfield going forward.

Tyler Badie Could Land On Injured Reserve
Denver Broncos running back Tyler Badie (back) missed practice for the second straight day this week on Thursday, and head coach Sean Payton said on Wednesday that could "possibly" be a candidate to go on Injured Reserve, which would cost him at least four games. Badie injured his back in the Week 4 win over the New York Jets and was carted off the field. The 24-year-old will almost certainly miss the Week 5 game against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders, with the Broncos likely officially ruling him out on Friday. Badie had nine carries for 70 yards in the Week 3 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and might have been in line for a bigger workload before his back injury. For now with Badie likely out for multiple weeks, Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin should have safer roles as the 1A and 1B in Denver's low-scoring offense. Badie should stay on the waiver wire in most fantasy leagues.

Tyler Badie Has Full Movement But Is A Candidate For Injured Reserve
Denver Broncos promising running back Tyler Badie (back), who left the Week 4 win over the New York Jets on a backboard on Sunday, has full movement of his arms and legs and is back in Denver with the team, according to sources. Badie suffered a back injury that could land him on Injured Reserve, but there's a chance he can return this season. The 24-year-old would be forced to miss at least four games he he's placed on IR. A sixth-rounder in 2022 by the Baltimore Ravens out of Missouri, Badie had 11 carries for 86 yards in three games this year and was potentially going to have a shot at a bigger role with both Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin struggling early on out of the backfield. Before being stretchered off on Sunday, he lost a fumble on his only carry and recorded two catches for minus-four yards receiving against the Jets.

Tyler Badie Carted Off Against Jets
Denver Broncos running back Tyler Badie (undisclosed) was carted off the sidelines to the locker room during the second quarter of Sunday's game against the New York Jets. Badie went to the sidelines after losing a fumble and seemingly went down on the sidelines with some sort of issue. He was then put on a backboard and carted off to the team's locker room with the problem still unknown. The sixth-round rookie had one carry for zero yards and two receptions for -4 yards before leaving the game. He delivered a quality game the week before against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers which moved him into the third-string conversation. He's listed as questionable to return right now, so his status will be monitored as the game goes on.

Tyler Badie Signed To Broncos' Active Roster
The Denver Broncos have signed running back Tyler Badie to their 53-man roster, according to Mike Klis of 9News. Badie, a third-year player out of the University of Missouri, had earned back-to-back elevations from the practice squad for Weeks 2 and 3. Now, after rushing nine times for 70 yards in last Sunday's contest, the 24-year-old has officially graduated from the practice squad to the active roster. He still figures to operate behind Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin, but given that both of those backs have struggled with efficiency and production this year, there could be some extra opportunities for Badie to prove himself within the next few weeks. He lacks fantasy appeal at the moment but remains a player to monitor.

Tyler Badie Surprisingly Leads Broncos In Rushing In Week 3
Denver Broncos running back Tyler Badie surprisingly led the team's backfield with 70 rushing yards in Sunday's 26-7 victory at Raymond James Stadium in Week 3. Badie was tied with rookie quarterback Bo Nix on the day with nine carries and had a healthy 7.78 yards per carry, thanks to a 43-yard pickup. The 24-year-old saw most of his work in the second half of this contest after coming into the Week 3 game with just two touches for 18 yards through the first two weeks. We're not quite ready to say that fantasy managers needing help at the RB position should try to pick Badie up off the waiver wire next week, but if both Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin continue to be inefficient behind Nix, the Broncos coaching staff could give Badie even more chances moving forward. The former sixth-rounder is currently rostered in 0% of Yahoo leagues.

Tyler Badie Scores Touchdown In Preseason Finale
Denver Broncos running back Tyler Badie found the end zone in the team's 41-0 drubbing of the visiting Los Angeles Rams on Saturday night in the preseason finale. Badie's eight carries were second to only rookie Jaleel McLaughlin's 10 on the evening, but while McLaughlin averaged 4.8 yards per carry, Badie only averaged 1.9 yards per tote for 15 rushing yards and a touchdown. The 23-year-old also caught both of his targets through the air for just seven yards. The former sixth-rounder was scooped up off the Ravens' practice squad late last year and had just one catch and one rushing attempt for Denver. Badie isn't a lock to make the Broncos' final 53-man roster, especially since he was outplayed in the preseason by McLaughlin.

Tyler Badie Finds End Zone For First Career TD
Denver Broncos rookie running back Tyler Badie, who was scooped up off the Baltimore Ravens practice squad at the end of last month, scored his first NFL touchdown in his debut in the Week 18 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Badie only saw nine offensive snaps on Sunday, but he made the most of his opportunities and scored on his only catch, a 24-yard touchdown reception in which he showed impressive balance along the sideline. He added one carry for no gain on the ground. Latavius Murray and Marlon Mack will both be unrestricted free agents this offseason, so depending on who the Broncos add at the position for 2023, Badie could find himself in a bigger role behind Javonte Williams and Chase Edmonds.

Broncos Sign Tyler Badie To Active Roster
The Denver Broncos signed rookie running back Tyler Badie to their active 53-man roster on Thursday after he terminated his practice-squad contract with the Baltimore Ravens, according to a league source. Badie, a sixth-rounder out of Missouri, could make his NFL debut in the final two weeks of the season, but he'll also be behind Latavius Murray, Chase Edmonds and Marlon Mack in the league's lowest-scoring offense. In the preseason with Baltimore, Badie picked up 65 rushing yards and also added four catches for 14 yards and a touchdown.

Tyler Badie Among Ravens Roster Cuts
Baltimore Ravens rookie running back Tyler Badie was among the team's many roster cuts on Tuesday. Badie was used heavily in the preseason and training camp with both J.K. Dobbins (knee) and Gus Edwards (knee) sidelined, but he'll be the odd-man out after Baltimore signed Kenyan Drake on Tuesday. If Badie clears waivers, there's a good chance that he'll return to the Ravens practice squad. Dobbins won't have a very large role heading into Week 1 against the New York Jets, leaving Drake and veteran Mike Davis to split the majority of the early season workload in the Ravens backfield. Justice Hill is currently the team's No. 4 back.
