Pat Bryant Offers Low-End Streaming Appeal

Denver Broncos rookie wide receiver Pat Bryant (concussion) has been cleared to play ahead of the Week 18 matchup versus the Los Angeles Chargers. Bryant will make his return after being forced to exit during the end of the Week 16 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The third-round rookie has been seeing increased reps down the stretch of the season. Over his last four games, Bryant has 17 receptions on 25 targets for 198 receiving yards. The target share has been there, but Bryant isn't doing much in terms of yardage. He figures to continue seeing a significant snap count with the Broncos needing to win this game to lock up the No. 1 seed. The Broncos have a crowded wide receiver group, though, so Bryant can't be trusted as anything more than a touchdown-dependent, WR4/flex.

Pat Bryant Ruled Out vs Chiefs

Denver Broncos wide receiver Pat Bryant (concussion) has been ruled out for the team's Thursday night Christmas matchup with the Chiefs. The rookie wideout was concussed late in the Broncos' Week 16 loss to the Jaguars on a violent hit over the middle and was immediately taken to the hospital. He was released from the hospital on Tuesday but remains in the league's concussion protocol. With the Broncos playing on a short week, it was always viewed as unlikely that he would be able to suit up, but he has now been officially ruled out for Week 17. Bryant has seen his role steadily increase across the back half of the season, and with him inactive, Troy Franklin, Marvin Mims Jr., and tight end Evan Engram could all see a bump in target share, while Courtland Sutton remains a high-upside WR2.

Pat Bryant Misses Practice on Tuesday

Denver Broncos rookie wide receiver Pat Bryant (concussion) was a non-participant in practice on Tuesday. For the second straight day, Bryant was absent from practice and is trending in the wrong direction to play on Christmas night on Thursday against the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs. The rookie third-rounder was released from the hospital on Monday after suffering a scary injury during Denver's loss to the Jaguars in Week 16 on Sunday. It seems unlikely that he'll be able to clear the league's concussion protocol in time to play on Christmas Day. Without Bryant, the Broncos will lean more on receivers Troy Franklin, Marvin Mims Jr., and Lil'Jordan Humphrey behind Courtland Sutton for Thursday's game against the Chiefs.

Pat Bryant Released from Hospital; Diagnosed with a Concussion

Denver Broncos wide receiver Pat Bryant was released from the hospital after suffering a scary injury when he took a massive hit over the middle in the final minute of Sunday's loss to the Jaguars. He had to be stretchered off the field and taken to a hospital for further evaluation. Although he was diagnosed with a concussion, he cleared the rest of the tests and seems to have avoided any more serious injury. Since the Broncos play the Chiefs on Christmas this Thursday, it seems unlikely that he'll be able to clear the protocol in time to play in that game. Without Bryant, more work would likely go to Troy Franklin and Marvin Mims Jr. behind Courtland Sutton. Stay tuned for further updates this week, but it's great news that Bryant did not have any further injuries.

Pat Bryant Suffers Scary Injury

Denver Broncos wide receiver Pat Bryant (undisclosed) was involved in a scary play during Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Bryant took a massive hit over the middle during the final minute of the contest. He remained on the field and was eventually taken off the field on a stretcher. The nature of the injury is unclear at the moment, but fantasy managers should get more updates on his status soon. He hauled in five of his eight targets for 42 yards in the loss. As already mentioned, Bryant's injury is unknown, but his status is up in the air for the Christmas matchup versus the Kansas City Chiefs next week.

Pat Bryant Looks Primed to Return in Week 16

Denver Broncos rookie wide receiver Pat Bryant (hamstring) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, according to Zac Stevens of DNVR Sports. A hamstring issue kept Bryant from playing in the Week 15 win over the Green Bay Packers. Head coach Sean Payton said the 23-year-old could have played if it were a playoff game. Now that Bryant is back to practicing in full, he should be active this Sunday versus the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars, barring a setback in the next two days. Bryant's impending return is bad news for second-year wideout Troy Franklin, who caught all six of his targets for 85 yards and a touchdown against Green Bay. Before his hamstring injury, Bryant was seeing more involvement in Denver's passing attack, catching 12 of 17 targets for 156 yards in Weeks 11, 13, and 14. If he's back this weekend, Bryant profiles as a WR4/flex option in deeper fantasy formats. He has just one trip to the end zone in his first 13 NFL contests.

Pat Bryant Ruled Out for Sunday

Denver Broncos rookie wide receiver Pat Bryant (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers, according to Chris Tomasson of the Denver Gazette. Head coach Sean Payton said that Bryant could play with the hamstring injury if it were a playoff game, but the team will hold him out for this game after he missed practice all week. It's unfortunate timing for the rookie third-rounder after taking over as Denver's WR2 ahead of Troy Franklin opposite Courtland Sutton in recent weeks. Bryant has totaled 12 receptions for 156 yards on 17 targets in the past three games. His absence will open up more opportunities for Franklin, Marvin Mims Jr., and Lil'Jordan Humphrey on Sunday. Franklin is back on the fantasy radar as a potential flex play with Bryant out, but he is tough to trust in lineups in a tough Week 15 matchup against the Packers.

Pat Bryant Trending Toward Missing Week 15

Denver Broncos rookie wide receiver Pat Bryant (hamstring) missed a second straight day of practice this week on Thursday and is not expected to be available to play this Sunday when the Green Bay Packers come to town. Bryant has one more day to return to practice on Friday, but as of right now, things aren't looking good for his availability this weekend. It's bad timing for the 23-year-old third-rounder out of Illinois, as he has had a bigger role in Denver's passing attack over the last three games. Bryant has been more productive than second-year wideout Troy Franklin recently, catching 12 of his 17 targets for 156 yards over the last three games. If Bryant is inactive on Sunday, which seems likely, Franklin could get back in the good graces of his fantasy managers. Big-play receiver Marvin Mims Jr. and tight end Evan Engram should see more involvement as well.

Pat Bryant Not Expected to Play in Week 15 With Hamstring Injury

Denver Broncos rookie wide receiver Pat Bryant (hamstring) did not participate in Wednesday's practice and is not looking good heading into this week's matchup against the Green Bay Packers. Bryant appeared on the injury report late last week with a hamstring injury, which limited him during Thursday and Friday's practices before Week 14. According to Broncos Insider Benjamin Allbright, Bryant is expected to be sidelined for Week 15. Thursday and Friday's practice reports will determine whether he can play in Week 15, but Troy Franklin would be the biggest beneficiary if Bryant misses this week.

Pat Bryant Becoming the WR2 in Denver?

Denver Broncos rookie wide receiver Pat Bryant has been able to put himself on the fantasy radar over the last few weeks with increased involvement in the passing game. Bryant was a non-factor in fantasy football leagues until his five-catch performance in Week 11. After that, Bryant has finished with seven receptions for 74 yards over his last two games. The rookie wideout has been the second-best wideout lately behind Courtland Sutton. His recent performances should be enough to put Bryant on the fantasy radar as a WR4/flex option in Week 15 when the Broncos host the Green Bay Packers. Both Sutton and Troy Franklin figure to be involved as well, but Bryant has done enough to earn consideration off the waiver wire for WR depth going into the fantasy playoffs.
