Ja'Marr Chase Remains in Concussion Protocol

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol after leaving Sunday's loss to Jacksonville. Head coach Zac Taylor told Jay Morrison on Monday that Chase is considered day to day, but there is still no timetable for his return. Chase was injured in the second quarter after taking a hard hit following a reception and did not return, finishing with three catches for 27 yards. He now has 21 receptions for 212 yards and three touchdowns through four games. Cincinnati visits Miami in Week 5, but Chase will need to clear the protocol before he can play. His status should become clearer once the Bengals return to practice later this week.

Ja'Marr Chase Ruled Out With Concussion

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase (concussion) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to Paul Dehner. Chase was injured in the second quarter after being brought down by his facemask, with his head hitting the turf on the play. He was able to walk off under his own power before going to the medical tent and later the locker room. Chase caught all three of his targets for 26 yards before leaving. He will now enter the league's concussion protocol, putting his status for Week 5 in question.

Ja'Marr Chase Being Evaluated for Concussion, Questionable to Return

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase (concussion) is being evaluated for a concussion and is questionable to return, according to the team. He was seen entering the blue medical tent in a Week 4 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to Charlie Goldsmith of the Charlie's Chalkboard newsletter and FOX19. The injury occurred after Chase caught a four-yard pass and Jacksonville cornerback Jarrian Jones was called for a face mask penalty. Other wide receivers for the Bengals include Tee Higgins, Dohnte Meyers and Mitch Tinsley.

Ja'Marr Chase has Another Big Game in Divisional Loss

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase was once again the team's leading receiver in the 30-27 Week 3 loss on the road to the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers, catching nine of his 12 targets for 98 yards and a touchdown. It was a slow start to the season for Chase, as he caught just two passes for 12 yards in the season-opening win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But he had seven catches on nine targets for 75 yards and his first two touchdowns of the year in the Week 2 victory over the Houston Texans. That is now three touchdowns in the last two games for Chase, who is an absolute must-start each and every week. Chase's nine catches were three more than Tee Higgins, and his 12 targets were five more than Higgins. The 26-year-old All-Pro will have a strong chance to make it three straight weeks with a trip to the end zone when the Bengals face off against the Jacksonville Jaguars next Sunday in Week 4.

Ja'Marr Chase Ready For Another Huge Performance In Pittsburgh

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase will face the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road in Week 3. Chase shook off a lackluster Week 1 performance with a strong stat line against the Houston Texans last week. The superstar wideout caught seven passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns in the 20-6 win in Week 2. Despite putting up WR1 numbers last game, Chase still has not reached 100 receiving yards this season. Chase will likely change that on Sunday against the Steelers. The Pittsburgh defense has been stingy against the pass this season, allowing the sixth-fewest passing yards, but Chase is no ordinary receiver. Chase is arguably the best wide receiver in football with a quarterback that isn't afraid to throw him the ball in any situation. That is a dangerous combination for opposing defenses to face because they can break off a big play at any moment. Chase is ranked WR3 in our RotoBaller Week 3 PPR rankings, making him a top-tier WR1 heading into the weekend. Fantasy managers should never question having him in their starting lineups for as long as he's healthy.

Ja'Marr Chase Scores Twice In Week 2 Win

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase bounced back in a big way in Week 2 with seven catches for 75 yards and two scores in the 20-6 win over the Houston Texans. Chase shook off that disappointing season opener performance as he and quarterback Joe Burrow connected often throughout the contest. The star wideout finished first on the team in receptions, but trailed teammate Tee Higgins in receiving yards and targets. This game gave fantasy managers a much-needed sigh of relief and should give them confidence about starting Chase heading into a Week 3 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers have allowed 20 points to opposing teams in each of their first two games, which bodes well for the Bengals' chances of scoring. Chase is the focal point of the Cincinnati passing attack, so when the offense succeeds, he's usually the reason why. Chase is one of the most reliable targets in the league, and he should be considered a top-end WR1 heading into Week 3.

Ja'Marr Chase Ready To Bounce Back Against Houston

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase will face the Houston Texans in Week 2. Chase had an underwhelming performance in the Bengals season opener, catching two passes for just 12 yards in the team's 33-27 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The superstar receiver was basically a non-factor in a game where Cincinnati scored over 30 points, so fantasy managers are likely disappointed in their early first-round pick. Chase will have the opportunity to bounce back in a big way against a Texans defense that just allowed 36 points to Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in Week 1. Chase was listed on the injury report in Week 1 but was absent from the report in Week 2, signaling that he's put any injury issues to rest heading into the weekend. Chase is ranked WR6 in our RotoBaller Week 2 PPR rankings, making him a strong start. Another piece of news to mention is that quarterback Joe Burrow has been dealing with back tightness all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup. His questionable tag is concerning, but Burrow practiced fully on Friday so all signs point to him playing this week. Despite his troubling Week 1 performance and quarterback questions, fantasy managers should feel confident starting Chase as their WR1 once again in Week 2.

Ja'Marr Chase Says his Knee Feels Great

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase told The Cincinnati Enquirer's Kelsey Conway on Thursday that his knee feels great. Chase hyperextended his knee in a training camp practice on Aug. 25 and was on the injury report heading into the season opener, but he was active in the Week 1 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 26-year-old five-time Pro Bowler and two-time first-team All-Pro played 94% of the offensive snaps last Sunday, but he caught only two passes on four targets for 12 yards in a bust performance for the No. 1 WR off the board in most fantasy football drafts. Fantasy managers might have been wondering if Chase's knee was to blame. The former fifth overall pick from LSU says his knee is fine, though, so he should be expected to have a much better performance in Week 2 on the road against the Houston Texans. It is even better news that Chase has not been on the Bengals' injury report at all heading into this weekend. Start him with confidence.

Ja'Marr Chase Disappoints In Week 1 Win

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase had two catches for 12 yards on four targets in the 33-27 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Chase was uncharacteristically uninvolved in the offense and the Bengals still managed to snag a win. Chase was the fourth-most targeted Bengal, trailing Mike Gesicki, Tee Higgins, and Chase Brown. It may be relevant to note that despite not entering the game with an injury designation, Chase was listed DNP in Friday's practice. It remains to be seen if the knee issue had anything to do with his abnormal performance in Week 1. If all is well, Chase should be considered a massive bounce-back candidate for Week 2 against the Houston Texans. The Texans were one of the best defenses in the NFL last season, but the Buffalo Bills were able to drop 36 points against them in Week 1, so Cincinnati may be able to do the same. Chase should still be considered a must-start WR1 heading into Week 2, despite the disappointing season debut.

Ja'Marr Chase Off Injury Report, Ready To Begin Historic Season

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase was previously listed on the Week 1 injury report with a knee injury, but he has since been removed from the report and is ready to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. Despite losing his superstar quarterback, Joe Burrow, for nine games, Chase still managed to finish the season as the WR4 in PPR formats. Chase's ability to perform at a high level despite playing with backup quarterbacks for the majority of the season is just a testament to his immense talent and reliability. Now with his quarterback fully healthy, the runway should be clear for Chase to have another historic season. The 26-year-old completed the receiving triple crown in 2024 and now has his eyes set on the touchdown record. Chase said he wants to score 23 touchdowns this season, and he certainly has the opportunity to do it. Chase could get his scoring started this Sunday against the Buccaneers, in a game with a 50.5-point total. The Buccaneers defense gave up over 24 points per game in 2025 while the Bengals defense gave up nearly 29 points per game. If the Bengals find themselves chasing points, Chase could be in for a very hefty workload. Chase is ranked as the overall WR1 in our RotoBaller Week 1 PPR rankings, making him a smash play this Sunday. Fantasy managers should be prepared to see a massive fantasy output from Chase every week.
