Ja'Marr Chase News
Cincinnati Bengals rookie wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase caught five of his eight targets for 89 yards in the 23-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI on Sunday. He wasn't able to find the end zone, but it was still a strong game for the Offensive Rookie of the Year. Some people were worried about Chase when he was dropping passes in training camp and the postseason, but he was far from a liability in the regular season, twice going over 100 yards in a game while totaling 1,455 yards and 13 total touchdowns on 81 catches (128 targets) in 17 games. His speed, quickness and play-making abilities are off the charts, and his chemistry with quarterback Joe Burrow is on another level. Going into his sophomore season, Chase will probably be the first receiver off the board in a lot of fantasy drafts.
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase, the team's first-round draft pick, was named the 2021 Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year on Thursday. He became the first receiver to win the award since Odell Beckham Jr. did it in 2014. In 18 regular season games, Chase had 81 catches for 1,455 yards and 13 touchdowns. He set the single-season record for rookie receiving yards, and the total was also a franchise record. Chase's 266 yards in the Week 17 win over the Kansas City Chiefs were a single-game rookie record. His speed and quickness allows him to gain plenty of separation from defenders, and his chemistry with quarterback Joe Burrow is off the charts. Chase's 512 yards on deep passes outside the numbers were the most in the league since at least 2016, according to Next Gen Stats.
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase caught five of six targets for 109 yards in Saturday's 19-16 Divisional-Round win over the Tennessee Titans. He looked explosive in Saturday's victory, with 94 of his 106 receiving yards coming after the catch. Most of his production came from a 57-yard catch. He hauled in a 19-yard reception with 20 seconds remaining, setting up the game-winning field goal. The Bengals star rookie has now topped 100 receiving yards in four of his last five games. Chase will look to extend his 100-yard streak to three games in next Sunday's AFC Championship matchup against either the Buffalo Bills or Kansas City Chiefs.

Ja'Marr Chase is the first unanimous top WR prospect since 2007's Calvin Johnson (according to Bob McGinn's poll of well-respected NFL scouts). If that doesn't get you excited for his potential, then think about his most recent college season...
