Kendrick Bourne an Intriguing Option for Wild-Card Weekend

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne recorded 37 receptions for 551 yards (14.89 YPC) and zero touchdowns on 53 targets in 16 games in 2025. The majority of Bourne's production came in early October, when he stepped in as the team's main pass-catcher, with George Kittle, Jauan Jennings, and Ricky Pearsall (knee, ankle) all ruled out for a brief time. Bourne's role faded as the team continued to get healthy; however, should Pearsall miss Sunday's contest against the Philadelphia Eagles, Bourne could find himself playing more often and would likely be elevated to the team's No. 2 wide receiver alongside Jennings. Additionally, according to Novig, the Niners are underdogs (+4.5) and should be in a game flow that favors a pass-happy approach, which would result in more target opportunities for Bourne should he get more playing time. Demarcus Robinson would likely be operating more in three-wide receiver sets. Pending Pearsall's availability, Bourne would be a bit of a dart throw in fantasy playoff leagues, but would be worth a roster as a long-shot option.

Kendrick Bourne Could See Increased Role in 49ers' Offense

Across 16 games in 2025, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne recorded 37 receptions for 551 yards and zero touchdowns on 53 targets. The vast majority of Bourne's production came in early October, when he recorded 15 catches for 284 yards on 20 targets across a two-game stretch. The 30-year-old's role in the San Francisco offense faded down the end of the season, as he hauled in just six catches on nine targets over his final seven games played. However, 49ers wideout Ricky Pearsall's (knee, ankle) status for the team's Wild Card Weekend matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles is in doubt as he battles a PCL sprain in his knee. If Pearsall is held out, Bourne could see a larger role in the 49ers' passing game. Pending Pearsall's availability, Bourne could be a low-end option for fantasy managers in playoff leagues.

Kendrick Bourne's Flex Appeal Tied To Teammates' Health

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne has seemingly regained his role as the team's third wide receiver after Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall (knee, ankle). Bourne had slipped behind Demarcus Robinson on the depth chart for a few weeks, but the former has outsnapped the latter in both of the 49ers' games coming out of their Week 14 bye. Bourne's involvement has been minimal, even after drawing a start last week while Pearsall was held out due to injuries. Pearsall is questionable for Week 17, as is tight end George Kittle (ankle), who is a game-time decision. Bourne's fantasy value rests on the availability of his teammates. Should both be shelved, then Bourne would have flex appeal against a soft Bears secondary, but if either or both are active, then it is hard to see Bourne eclipsing the five targets he saw last week.

Kendrick Bourne Climbing Back Up Depth Chart?

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne slipped behind Demarcus Robinson on the depth chart in recent weeks, but reclaimed the WR3 role against the Titans in Week 15. Robinson did end the game with more receiving yards, but Bourne logged a higher snap share between the two for the first time since Week 10. Ricky Pearsall (knee/ankle) missed the first two practices of Week 16 after aggravating his PCL injury last week. If Pearsall is unavailable, then Bourne is presumed to be the next man in line to fill in for him, though that may not amount to much in fantasy value. Pearsall's six-catch, 96-yard game last week aside, quarterback Brock Purdy's main focus has been getting the ball to Christian McCaffrey, Jauan Jennings, or George Kittle. Bourne is a desperation flex at best, and only if Pearsall is out for Monday's game against the Colts.

Kendrick Bourne has Little Upside for Week 13

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne has been a non-factor in the offense over the last few weeks. In fact, Bourne hasn't hauled in a pass since Week 10. Honestly, Bourne hasn't been a factor in the offense since his five-catch performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6. The 49ers are getting healthy on offense and Bourne is falling out of the offensive gameplan. Last week, Bourne saw a season-low nine percent of the offensive snaps during the win over the Carolina Panthers. Bourne is unlikely to help unless an injury happens, so the 30-year-old is best left on the bench ahead of Week 13.

Kendrick Bourne is Not Trustworthy for Week 13

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne barely saw any of the field during last week's contest against the Carolina Panthers. The 30-year-old played only nine perfect of the offensive snaps during the Monday night victory. Bourne has been held to one reception for 19 yards in his last three games. The 49ers are healthy enough at wideout right now that Bourne isn't needed on a weekly basis. His playing time is likely only going to increase if someone gets injured. That being said, fantasy managers can leave Bourne on the bench right now. He could be worth stashing in certain formats, but doesn't need to be started in Week 13.

Kendrick Bourne Unlikely To Contribute In Week 12

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne took a big step back in the team's 41-22 dismantling of the Arizona Cardinals in Week 11. With Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall (knee) both on the field for the first time since Week 4, Bourne's snap share went from 68% in Week 10 to 25% in Week 11. Bourne finished the game without a single target. Bourne was riding high after back-to-back 142-yard games in Weeks 5 and 6, when injuries to Jennings, Pearsall, and George Kittle forced him to the top of the pecking order in the 49ers' passing game. As his teammates have recovered and returned to action, Bourne has seen his role diminished and has just nine targets over the 49ers' last five games. At this point, Bourne is simply a depth piece for San Francisco and holds very little potential to help fantasy football teams in Week 12.

Kendrick Bourne No Longer a Factor in 49ers Offense

San Francisco 49ers veteran wide receiver Kendrick Bourne enjoyed a mid-season spike that saw him put up exactly 142 receiving yards in back-to-back games in Weeks 5 and 6. Since then, the 49ers' offense has gotten healthier, and Bourne is no longer a viable fantasy option. In Weeks 7 through 10, Bourne was still listed as a starter, but with All-Pro tight end George Kittle playing in all those games following a five-week absence, Bourne averaged only two receptions for 28 yards. In Week 11, Ricky Pearsall returned after a six-week absence of his own, and Bourne was limited to 13 offensive snaps and kept off the stat sheet. While his chemistry with Mac Jones made him a surprising fantasy producer just as bye weeks struck, it is apparent that Bourne is no longer a reliable piece of San Francisco's offense and can be dropped by any fantasy managers who have not yet done so.

Kendrick Bourne's Prospects Dim Further In Week 11

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne's role in the team's passing attack has diminished after George Kittle returned from injured reserve in Week 7 and as Jauan Jennings' health improved in recent weeks. Bourne made a splash with back-to-back 142-yard games in Weeks 5 and 6, but has just eight catches on nine targets for 111 yards in the four games since. His stock will fall further still in Week 11, as Ricky Pearsall (knee) will return to the lineup after missing the 49ers' last six games. Bourne's snap share, already decreasing in recent weeks, should take a significant hit on Sunday. Brock Purdy's (toe) return this week won't have the same impact on Bourne as it might have with Pearsall out of the picture. Bourne projects as a WR5 against the Arizona Cardinals' middling pass defense and should be left out of starting fantasy football lineups.

Kendrick Bourne's Role is Shrinking as 49ers' Offense Gets Healthier

Across nine games played this season, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne has hauled in 31 catches for 482 yards on 42 targets. The vast majority of Bourne's production came in a two-week stretch in early October, when he recorded 15 catches for 284 yards on 20 targets. The 49ers' pass-catching corps has gotten healthier in recent weeks thanks to the returns of wide receiver Jauan Jennings and tight end George Kittle, which has shrunk Bourne's role in the offense. Over his last two games played, Bourne has recorded three catches for 53 yards on three targets. Heading into their Week 11 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco will welcome wide receiver Ricky Pearsall (knee) back to the lineup for his first game since Week 4. Pearsall's return should only further limit Bourne's opportunities for playing time. Bourne should be off the radar of fantasy managers heading into Week 11.
