K.J. Osborn News
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn brought in 3-of-6 targets for 34 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 34-28 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The 26-year-old got free in the flat for a nice 18-yard gain in the second quarter to push Minnesota over midfield. Osborn later committed a costly forth-quarter drop, but atoned for it by coming wide open for a 10-yard score later in that series to close the gap, making it a one-score game. It's worth noting he started the next drive with another drop, though. Osborn out-snapped rising rookie Jordan Addison 56-40, but the 2023 first-rounder is clearly threatening for more action after scoring another touchdown in this one. Despite the decent line, Osborn is an uninspiring Week 3 FLEX option when Minnesota takes on the visiting Los Angeles Chargers.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn caught 3-of-6 targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 26-year-old had a ball ripped away right near the goal line by Christian Izien to foil a potential Vikings scoring drive to close the first half. Despite being out-produced by 2023 first-rounder Jordan Addison, who hauled in four balls for 61 yards and a score in his debut, Osborn out-snapped him by 22 plays. Osborn is going to have to provide better results if he doesn't want the rookie eating into his playing time going forward. The former fifth-round pick will not be a recommended WR4, arguably as Minnesota's No. 4 target, in Week 2 against the Philadelphia Eagles, even in a game with plenty of shootout potential.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn, who is listed as the No. 2 receiver on the team's first unofficial depth chart at training camp, is the team's F receiver and is set to play a pivotal role in 2023. Osborn has a wide-ranging understanding of each receiver spot, so he would be able to fill in anywhere if another receiver goes down. The Athletic's Alec Lewis thinks Osborn will see more offensive snaps than rookie Jordan Addison this year, but Addison is likely to draw more targets. The 26-year-old will probably be used a lot as a blocker, which won't help Osborn at all for fantasy purposes. Addison is still the better upside selection late in fantasy drafts as you look to add depth to the receiver position.

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn enters the 2023 season with the potential to be the second-most targeted wideout for the team in 2023. Veteran and long-time Viking Adam Thielen is now in Carolina, leaving 107 targets vacated from last years total. Minnesota did spend a first-round pick on rookie Jordan Addison this past April, but that should not make Osborn obsolete for fantasy purposes in 2023. The fourth-year receiver amassed 90 targets last season as the No. 4 option at times...
