Ravens Re-Signing Malik Harrison

The Baltimore Ravens are re-signing linebacker Malik Harrison to an undisclosed one-year deal on Monday, according to a source. In the fourth and final year of his rookie season in 2023, Harrison contributed a career-low 20 tackles (13 solo) in 14 regular-season games (eight starts), but he'll return to the Ravens anyway. The former third-round selection in 2020 out of Ohio State has been a disappointment in his first four NFL seasons so far, accumulating 120 tackles (73 solo), no sacks, four tackles for loss and one pass defensed in 61 games played (27 starts). Harrison has mostly been a rotational player for the Ravens on defense so far in his career, but that could change in 2024 with both Patrick Queen and Kyle Van Noy likely departing.

Ravens Add Linebacker Malik Harrison At No. 98

The Baltimore Ravens selected linebacker Malik Harrison out of Ohio State with the 98th overall pick in the third round. Harrison is a player with a high IQ and good tackling abilities, but his athleticism could be underwhelming at his position. The Ohio State product finished with 75 tackles and 4.5 sacks in 15 games played during the 2019 season. With fellow rookie Patrick Queen slated to take on a large role in the Ravens linebacker corps in his rookie season, Harrison may be relegated to a backup role to start the year. He was mostly utilized in a downhill role as a run-stopping specialist in college.
