The New York Giants have re-signed offensive lineman Aaron Stinnie to an undisclosed contract. Stinnie played 16 games for the team last year (three starts), garnering a 17.16% snap share. He spent most of his time at left guard. The Virginia native projects to backup teammate Jon Runyan (ankle), who ended the season with an ankle injury that forced him from the final four contests. New York has attempted to reinforce its offensive line this offseason, as Stinnie joins returning veteran Greg Van Roten and newly acquired offensive linemen Stone Forsythe and James Hudson III. Van Roten is the only Giants lineman to log 100% of the team's snaps a season ago.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive guard Aaron Stinnie (knee) was able to do some running and work on the blocking sleds without any signs of a limp during the team's mandatory minicamp practices. It's notable after Stinnie missed all of last season with a torn ACL and MCL that he suffered in a preseason game against the Tennessee Titans. The 29-year-old is getting healthier, but it remains to be seen how much work he'll be allowed to do when training camp starts at the end of July. He's still under a year removed from having surgery on his knee. When fully healthy, Stinnie will give Tampa more depth at the guard position on their offensive line.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive guard Aaron Stinnie (knee) suffered a torn ACL and MCL in the preseason game on Saturday against the Tennessee Titans, and he'll miss the entire 2022 season, according to a source. Stinnie was pushing for the starting left guard spot heading into the start of the regular season, so it's another big loss for the Bucs offensive line. Offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs (oblique) is also day-to-day with a strained oblique, although it shouldn't be much of a concern in regards to his status for Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys. Center Ryan Jensen (knee) remains out indefinitely. It's certainly a concern for quarterback Tom Brady (personal) who has been away from the team for personal reasons.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers re-signed offensive guard Aaron Stinnie to a one-year deal worth $1.4 million on Saturday. Stinnie can make as much as $2.5 million next season with incentives. The 28-year-old has been with Tampa for the last three seasons, mainly serving as offensive line depth. However, with guards Ali Marpet and Alex Cappa and center Ryan Jensen being free agents this offseason, Stinnie could be looking to compete for a starting guard job in training camp this summer. Stinnie has played in 14 games for the Bucs in the last three seasons, but he's started only one game.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers re-signed offensive guard Aaron Stinnie to an undisclosed deal. Stinnie started at right guard in the final three games of Tampa's playoff run as Super Bowl champions, earning the first three starts of his NFL career. In those three games, the Buccaneers allowed just three sacks and six QB pressures. He has appeared in 12 regular season games since entering the league in 2018 with the Tennessee Titans. Since joining the Buccaneers in 2019, Stinnie has played in just eight regular season games and those three playoff games last season.
