Jaxson Dart Attracting Top Head-Coaching Candidates

New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen said that quarterback Jaxson Dart's name "has come up a lot" in terms of what will attract head-coaching candidates, according to The Athletic's Charlotte Carroll. "From the people I've talked to, the consensus is that there are a lot of potential head-coaching candidates that are excited about the opportunity here because of Jaxson Dart," Schoen said. The Giants already have their eyes on former Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski, and they will also interview interim head coach Mike Kafka, who has been a popular name in past coaching cycles. Dart's dual-threat abilities at the QB position were on display in his first 14 games in 2025. The first-rounder out of Ole Miss threw for 2,272 yards, 15 touchdowns, and five interceptions while adding 487 rushing yards and nine more TDs. If Dart can learn to protect himself better as a runner, he has high-end QB1 upside in fantasy going into Year 2.

Jaxson Dart Tosses Two Touchdown Passes in Week 18 Win

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart finished his rookie season strong in his team's 34-17 Week 18 win over the Dallas Cowboys, completing 22 of 32 pass attempts for 230 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Dart also recorded 32 rushing yards on five attempts. Heading into 2026, the 22-year-old looks like he could be one of the NFL's premier dual-threat quarterbacks. Across 13 games (11 starts) in 2025, Dart completed 63.7% of his pass attempts for 2,272 yards, 15 touchdowns, and five interceptions while rushing for 487 yards and nine touchdowns on 86 attempts. Dart also played the majority of the season without star wide receiver Malik Nabers (knee), who could return from a torn ACL for the start of 2026. The Giants have plenty of questions to answer as they complete their third-straight double-digit loss season, but the organization appears to have found its franchise quarterback.

Jaxson Dart Offers QB1 Upside to Close Out the Year

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart is looking to finish his rookie campaign on a high note. Interim head coach Mike Kafka said that he'll play the starters despite this being a meaningless game for both teams. This is good news for Dart, who will have a plus matchup against the Dallas Cowboys defense. Last week, Dart only threw for 207 passing yards, but he salvaged his fantasy value with nine carries for 48 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. As long as the Giants don't limit Dart, he should offer QB1 upside as a dual-threat option against a below-average defense in Week 18.

Jaxson Dart Continues to Have a Nose for the End Zone

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart completed 22 of his 30 pass attempts for 207 passing yards during Sunday's Week 17 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. He also rushed for 48 yards, took two sacks, and didn't turn over the football. The rookie didn't score any touchdowns through the air, but he did add two rushing touchdowns. Dart continues to showcase an impressive tendency to scamper into the end zone; he has 13 passing touchdowns and nine rushing touchdowns through 11 games. The Ole Miss product's willingness to put his body on the line for big plays will always cause managers to hold their breath, but you can't argue with the results so far. Dart has been one of the best rushing quarterbacks in the NFL this year, and he could make a late push for Rookie of the Year while scoring touchdowns and limiting turnovers. It doesn't look like New York will rest any key starters in Week 18, so Dart should be a low-end fantasy QB1 with all of the Giants' top weapons at his disposal.

Jaxson Dart an All or Nothing Play for Championship Weekend

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart has the precise skillset needed to put up monstrous fantasy performances even if the games aren't always pretty, as evidenced by his seven-week stretch as the QB3 while going 2-5. Unfortunately, since returning from a concussion in Week 13, his usage has no longer showcased those skills, making him difficult to trust in a Week 17 matchup with the Raiders. Since his return from injury, his designed rushing yards per game have dropped from 22.6 to two. Heading into a game that could ultimately determine the number one pick of the 2026 NFL Draft, the Raiders have already shut down Brock Bowers, Jeremy Chinn, and Maxx Crosby, so depending on the Giants' approach, there is a path for Dart to hit a ceiling that few players in the league are capable of. That ceiling potential must be weighed against his floor, as he is coming off his worst game of the season against Minnesota. As RotoBaller's QB13 for the week, he is best viewed as a desperation play by heavy underdogs in single quarterback leagues.

Jaxson Dart Profiles as Borderline QB1 for Tough Week 16 Matchup

New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart has put together a promising rookie campaign and has become one of the best fantasy options at the position. Dart ranks as the QB2 in fantasy points per game (22.5) since becoming the starter in Week 4, averaging 200.2 passing yards and 44.4 rushing yards per game while throwing 13 touchdowns to four interceptions and adding seven more scores on the ground. His seven rushing touchdowns only trail Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts, two perennial mainstays atop the leaderboard in that category. Dart faces a challenging matchup on Sunday against the blitz-happy Minnesota Vikings, who have allowed just one rushing touchdown to quarterbacks all season and allow the third fewest fantasy points per game. Dart remains a reliable starting QB option and is ranked as RotoBaller's QB12 in Week 16.

Jaxson Dart Has a Target on His Back as a Runner?

In a clip from HBO's "Hard Knocks: In Season with the NFC East," Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn is seen emphasizing the importance of hitting New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart when Dart takes off as a runner. Based on the clip, Giants beat writer Dan Duggan of The Athletic speculates that Dart "clearly has a target on his back as a runner." The rookie quarterback has been highly effective with his legs so far this season, recording 400 rushing yards and seven touchdowns across 11 games (nine starts). However, he also missed two games due to a concussion and has drawn criticism for his tendency to absorb unnecessary contact. If the 2-12 Giants pull back the reins on Dart as a rusher, his fantasy production would clearly be impacted. While Dart has shown little indication of being hesitant to run so far this season, it's a storyline worth monitoring as the team prepares to take on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 16.

Jaxson Dart Continues to Provide Dual-Threat Production Upside

After missing two games due to a concussion, New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart recorded a season-low four rush attempts in his first game back against the New England Patriots in Week 14. However, Dart got back to his aggressive style of play in Week 15 against the Washington Commanders, recording 63 rushing yards on nine attempts. The 22-year-old also completed 20 of 36 pass attempts for 246 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Across 11 games (nine starts) in 2025, Dart has thrown for 1,802 yards and 13 touchdowns while rushing for an additional 400 yards and seven scores. When healthy and let loose, Dart has proven to be one of the NFL's premier dual-threat quarterbacks. As long as New York continues to let him run, Dart's legs give him fantasy upside every week. The Giants will face the Minnesota Vikings in Week 16 and the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 17.

Jaxson Dart has Another Injury Scare, Throws Two Touchdowns in Loss

New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart came out of the team's bye to throw for 246 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception on 20-for-36 passing in Sunday's 29-21 loss to the Washington Commanders. Dart added nine rushing attempts for 63 yards on the ground and was sacked one time for a loss of eight yards. The 22-year-old dual-threat signal-caller was checked for a concussion yet again after already missing two games due to a head injury, but thankfully, he was cleared to re-enter the game. Fantasy managers have to like what they've seen from Dart in his first NFL season due to his abilities with his arm and his legs, but Sunday's game was the fifth time already in 2025 that he's been checked for a concussion. The risk/reward with Dart is very real because of his willingness to put his body in harm's way. The Ole Miss product will once again have clear QB1 upside in Week 16 versus the Vikings.

Jaxson Dart Looks to Bounce Back in Week 15

New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart is hopeful for better results after a lackluster performance against the New England Patriots in Week 13. Dart made his return to the field before the bye after missing two games due to a concussion and completed 17 of 24 passes for 139 yards and one touchdown in the loss. The biggest takeaway is that Dart only rushed the ball four times for 20 yards. Before missing two games, Dart had scored a touchdown on the ground in five straight games. The Giants previously stated they want Dart to be smarter with the way he runs the ball. His passing stats alone are unlikely going to be able to carry him as a QB1 in fantasy, even with a plus matchup against the Washington Commanders in Week 15. Dart has been held to under 200 passing yards in three of his last four games. The Commanders' defense has allowed 58 points over their previous two contests. That's good news for Dart, but he should still be viewed on the lower end of the QB1 spectrum for this weekend.
