Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Mitchell Tinsley had two catches for 22 yards in Thursday's win over the Baltimore Ravens. With Tee Higgins (concussion) sidelined for this one, there were extra targets up for grabs from the returning Joe Burrow (toe). Naturally, Ja'Marr Chase led the way by receiving 14 targets. However, Tinsley finished behind him with nine. The wideout also had a few chances to find the end zone. All things considered, it appears Tinsley could be in line for continued attention from Burrow in Week 14 against the Buffalo Bills if Higgins remains on the shelf. Still, even with the potential for added involvement, Tinsley is hard to trust in any fantasy format.

It was the Tinsley show against his former team, scoring touchdowns from 21 yards and 13 yards, thrown by backup quarterback Jake Browning. The third-year receiver adds some depth in the Bengals' wide receiver room behind Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Tinsley is fighting for a roster spot, but with performances like this, he will secure it with ease. The former undrafted free agent will have another chance to shine next Saturday against the Indianapolis Colts.

The Cincinnati Bengals announced on Tuesday that they signed free-agent wide receiver Mitchell Tinsley to a Reserve/Futures deal. Tinsley will not count on the team's active list until after the Super Bowl on Monday, Feb. 10. The 25-year-old went undrafted out of college in 2023 but eventually latched on with the Washington Commanders. He was active for two games with the Commanders in 2023 but wasn't targeted at all. Tinsley spent all of the 2024 campaign on the team's practice squad. He will now head to the AFC and continue his development with the Bengals all offseason up through training camp. If Tinsley sticks around beyond camp, he'll likely open the regular season this fall on Cincy's practice squad. Tinsley played collegiately at Hutchinson Community College, Western Kentucky and Penn State.

Washington Commanders wide receiver Mitchell Tinsley had his best game of the preseason on Sunday evening as he caught four passes for 37 yards. This starkly contrasts the previous two games, as he was held off the scoresheet against the Jets and caught only two passes for eight yards last week against the Dolphins. While he did not stand out during the first two games, his performance on Sunday evening may have earned him a spot on the final roster. Tinsley made the Washington roster as an undrafted free agent last summer after a big preseason but made only three minor appearances during the regular season. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to who will emerge as the No.2 wideout opposite of Terry McLaurin during the early parts of the season, as that role is still unknown as we enter the opening week of the regular season.

With the starters getting rest, Tinsley did his best to show the Commanders that he belongs on the 53-man roster. On the offense's third drive of the game, the former Penn State receiver hauled in a long pass from quarterback Jacoby Brissett before beating a Bengal defender on his way to a 39-yard touchdown. The undrafted rookie looked solid, but it's still a question if he'll make the roster or not with this crowded wide receiver room.
