Garett Bolles News
Denver Broncos left tackle Garrett Bolles (leg) and cornerback Ronald Darby (knee) are out for the remainder of the season after suffering major injuries in the loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday Night Football. While these players don't directly affect fantasy managers, losing Bolles on the offensive line could hurt the outlooks of quarterback Russell Wilson and the Broncos rushing attack moving forward. The Broncos defense/special teams should remain a solid unit in fantasy, but Darby's injury certainly hinders them at least a little bit.
Denver Broncos left tackle Garrett Bolles (leg) suffered a broken right leg in the Thursday night loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5, according to a source. Bolles will undergo more tests to determine the severity, but his best case is a return in roughly six weeks. The 30-year-old had several bodies roll up on his right leg in ugly fashion, and he was carted off the field in the fourth quarter. It's more bad news for a Denver offense that looked terrible on Thursday night on their way to just nine points and no offensive touchdowns. With Bolles out for the foreseeable future and possibly the rest of the season, Calvin Anderson could step in as the starter on quarterback Russell Wilson's blind side in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Denver Broncos offensive tackles Garett Bolles (ankle) and Bobby Massie (ankle) are both expected to play on Sunday night against the Kansas City Chiefs despite being listed as questionable on the final injury report, according to sources. It's big news for the Broncos offensive line after Calvin Anderson (ankle, knee) landed on Injured Reserve this week after getting injured in the Week 12 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Anderson had filled in at both left and right tackle due to the injuries to Bolles and Massie. Bolles, a first-round pick back in 2017, has been out since Week 8 due to injury and a bout with COVID-19. The return of two starting offensive tackles is good news for quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and the Denver offense as they look to try and spring a big divisional upset over the Chiefs.
