The seventh-round pick in this year's draft had a modest day otherwise, catching both of his two targets for 24 yards. While Bell looks like a good fit in the 49ers offense after tonight and a solid preseason, he probably would have remained catchless if not for starting receiver Brandon Aiyuk being sidelined with a shoulder injury. Bell still has a long way to go before fantasy relevance and should be left in the free-agent pool, except in the deepest dynasty leagues.

In the 21-20 defeat of the Denver Broncos, Bell caught seven passes on nine targets for 114 yards, including a 43-yard catch-and-run. He did have a drop that bounced off his face mask and into the air for an interception, but the seventh-round pick appears to be making an excellent case for making the opening-day roster. Bell remains off the fantasy radar for now.

Bell, a seventh-round pick out of Michigan, made the most of his first NFL action with head coach Kyle Shanahan choosing to rest virtually all of his regular offensive weapons. Bell will hope to continue to see opportunities on Friday night against the Chargers as he competes for a roster spot.
