A.T. Perry News
New Orleans Saints rookie wide receiver A.T. Perry scored his first NFL touchdown in Week 10 in the win over the Minnesota Vikings and was expected to be more involved coming out of the bye in Week 12 versus the Atlanta Falcons with Michael Thomas (knee) on Injured Reserve. However, Perry only caught one of two targets for seven yards on Sunday in a game in which both Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (thigh) were hurt and never returned. It was a disappointing showing for those that picked him up in deeper leagues after Thomas' injury, but it doesn't mean that he won't have a much more substantial role moving forward if one or both of Olave and Shaheed have to miss time. Along with Perry, tight ends Taysom Hill and Juwan Johnson and receiver Keith Kirkwood could see more targets.
New Orleans Saints rookie wide receiver A.T. Perry is now third on the depth chart behind Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed, with Michael Thomas (knee) on injured reserve. The rookie impressed in Week 10 with a high-point catch in the end zone, playing 84% of the snaps and making his first two career catches. Perry projects as a bit of an unknown from a fantasy perspective, given that he only has one game of usage, but he should be rostered in deeper leagues as he could pick up some of Thomas' vacated targets. Perry should see another high snap count and can be considered as a starting flex option in deep leagues against a solid Atlanta secondary.
New Orleans Saints rookie wide receiver A.T. Perry filled in nicely for the injured Michael Thomas (knee) in Week 10's loss to Minnesota. Perry was targeted four times, hauling in two catches for 38 yards and a touchdown in which he made an impressive grab in the end zone on a dart from quarterback Jameis Winston. The Wake Forest product proved he belongs in the league and should continue to work into the offense if Thomas cannot go after the bye.
