Laremy Tunsil Questionable To Return With Ankle Injury

Houston Texans offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil (ankle) is questionable to return to Sunday's game after suffering an ankle injury in the second quarter against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Tunsil has been a key part of C.J. Stroud's protection, but he has also hurt them often with false start penalties. Rookie Blake Fisher is the next left tackle on the depth chart, which could be worrisome if the Jaguars decide to attack that side and test the rookie out. Tunsil's status will continue to be monitored as the game goes on, and he'll likely receive some more tests on Monday to determine if he has to miss any extended time. UPDATE: Tunsil returned to the game in the second half.

Laremy Tunsil Fully Healthy After Arthroscopic Surgery

Houston Texans Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil (knee) is fully healthy heading into training camp next week after having offseason arthroscopic cleanup surgery on his knee. Tunsil is expected to be eased into the start of camp but he should be good to go during the preseason after a positive offseason of training. The 29-year-old former 13th overall pick by the Miami Dolphins in 2016 out of Mississippi made his second straight Pro Bowl and the fourth of his career in 2023 despite playing in only 14 regular-season games. When healthy, he's one of the league's best left tackles. It's great news for an up-and-coming Houston offense that he should be just fine for the start of the regular season this fall in Week 1.

Laremy Tunsil, Tytus Howard Expected To Be Ready For Training Camp

Houston Texans offensive tackles Laremy Tunsil (knee) and Tytus Howard (knee) are expected to be ready for training camp this summer after undergoing offseason surgery. The two bookends can be one of the league's best tackle duos, but Tunsil missed three games in 2023, while Howard missed 10. It's a good sign that both players will be available when it matters most, and if they can stay healthy throughout the 2024 campaign, signal-caller C.J. Stroud has an even better chance to make the next step into the elite quarterback conversation. Joe Mixon could also be set to run behind one of the best offensive lines of his career, and the standout tackles have a lot to do with that.

Laremy Tunsil Has Knee Surgery

Houston Texans Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil (knee) underwent successful arthroscopic knee surgery in Dallas and is expected to make a full and fast recovery after dealing with some swelling and tightness in his knee during the season, according to league sources. Tunsil had to have his knee drained a few times in 2023. The 29-year-old offensive tackle was on the injury report a lot last year due to his knee injury and was forced to miss three games with knee and groin issues. Perhaps Tunsil can be better in 2024 without any issues with his knee as he continues to protect the blind side of impressive young quarterback C.J. Stroud and an emerging Texans offense. Tunsil should be fully recovered by training camp at the end of the summer.

Laremy Tunsil Won't Return In Week 17

Houston Texans left tackle Laremy Tunsil (groin) has been downgraded to out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans. He had initially been listed as questionable. George Fant is expected to take over on the left end of the offensive line for the duration of this divisional contest.

Laremy Tunsil Gets In Full Practice

Houston Texans offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil (knee) was able to get through a full practice session on Thursday. That is good news after Tunsil was unable to practice at all during Wednesday's session. Right now, it appears Tunsil is trending in the right direction ahead of the Week 14 matchup against the New York Jets. The 29-year-old is a significant part of this offensive line, so having him out there is key for the Texans offense.

Laremy Tunsil, Will Anderson Jr. Officially Cleared For Week 12

Houston Texans tackle Laremy Tunsil (knee) and defensive end Will Anderson Jr. (knee) continued to practice in a full capacity on Friday. As a result, both players have been removed from the injury report and will play in Week 12 versus the Jacksonville Jaguars, barring a setback. Tunsil has been an offensive line staple this season, playing 100 percent of snaps in each of his six last games. Meanwhile, Anderson has 33 tackles and three sacks in his rookie campaign. The Texans will benefit from having both players available for a critical divisional clash on Sunday.

Laremy Tunsil, Tytus Howard Expected Back For Week 5

Houston Texans offensive tackles Laremy Tunsil (knee) and Tytus Howard (hand) are both expected to be active for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Tunsil, who is listed as questionable, hasn't played since Week 1. Meanwhile, Howard has been on IR since August and will make his 2023 debut on Sunday. The return of both linemen is great news for C.J. Stroud, Dameon Pierce, and the rest of the Texans' offense as they look to stay hot and win their third consecutive game.

Texans Rule Out Laremy Tunsil, Josh Jones

Houston Texans offensive tackles Laremy Tunsil (knee) and Josh Jones (hand) have both been ruled out for Sunday's clash versus the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4. Austin Deculus is expected to start at left tackle this weekend, which could be extremely bad news for rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud and the Texans offense against Steelers pass-rushers T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith. The 29-year-old Tunsil, a three-time Pro Bowler, was injured in the Week 1 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and hasn't played since. Hopefully he'll be able to return in a Week 5 meeting with the Falcons in Atlanta.

Laremy Tunsil Considered Questionable For Week 3

Houston Texans offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil (knee) is listed as questionable for the Week 3 matchup versus the Indianapolis Colts. The superstar tackle missed Week 2 due to a lingering knee issue. Tunsil has been limited during practice this week, which is why he carries a questionable tag into this game. His absence would obviously be a huge hit to the Texans' o-line. Josh Jones would likely be asked to start again, assuming Tunsil is unable to go.
