Julian Love News
Former New York Giants safety Julian Love said that he has agreed to terms on a two-year, $12 million deal with the Seattle Seahawks on Friday, according to sources. It's been a big day on the defensive side of the ball for Seattle, as they also landed former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Devin Bush. Love was fantasy relevant in IDP leagues in 2022 with the G-Men, recording a career-high 124 tackles (79 solo), one sack, six tackles for loss, two interceptions, five passes defensed, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 16 regular season starts in his fourth year in the NFL. The 24-year-old will continue to play regularly in Seattle and could once again be useful for fantasy managers in IDP leagues.
New York Giants free-agent safety Julian Love and Pittsburgh Steelers free-agent linebacker Devin Bush are visiting with the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday. Love is coming off his best season in 2022 in his fourth year with the Giants, collecting a career-high 124 tackles (79 solo), one sack, six tackles for loss, career-high two interceptions, five passes defensed, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 16 regular season starts. The Giants shouldn't be ruled out to bring him back, and for good reason. Bush finished 2022 with 81 tackles (44 solo) in 17 games (14 starts) in his fourth year for the Steelers, and he played only nine defensive snaps in the final two contests. A fresh start elsewhere could be good for the former first-rounder.
New York Giants safety Julian Love is set for a significant pay raise after his performance this past season. The 24-year-old set career highs with 124 tackles, six TFLs, and two interceptions in his first year as a full time starter. The Giants would be forced to play Love $14 million for next season if they decided to franchise tag him. They would likely rather work out a long term extension with Love rather than pay him that much for one season. The former fourth-round pick would be a popular option in free agency if the two sides cannot workout a deal.
